   We had a nice big table and were not rushed at all. Food was delivered rather quickly but we lingered over coffee and dessert.

   The food is always outstanding. We went in-between lunch and dinner (3 p.m.) so the servers were directed to prepare for dinner (folding napkins, etc.) so I had to flag down our server when we wanted something. The best acoustical seating (less noisy) is on the wall banquette.

    Our dinner at L’Express was delicious, romantic, and very memorable! The service was fast despite the restaurant being packed, the decor was cute for Valentine’s Day, and the food was delicious! I recommend this restaurant most highly for anyone looking for classic French food, lovely ambiance at a fair price.

    We love going to L’Express, as it is always a great experience. The brasserie mood is great, there is great options of delicious bistro food, and the staff is always solicitous and supportive. A d the other patrons all seem happy and lively. We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner. Thanks. Robert

    The frogslegs appetizer is a must-have! Wish the artichoke app was fried but not battered. Duck confit is excellent . Skate fish fillet ( which was a special) was nicely presented with mashed potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts but was a little dry. I've had better elsewhere. Cocktails were good and a good wine list to choose from by the glass or bottle.

    L’Express is consistently good without breaking the bank. They are the closest thing to a French cafe that won’t rush you out the door so that you can really spend time with your guests.

    Steak frites: steak was a nice size piece, but very tough. Short ribs were quite fatty. Fries were room temp at best. Brussels sprouts were soggy, and have very little evidence of searing. Not crispy at all.

    We were getting together Post-pandemic to have a meal and catch up. I thought the music created a lovely ambiance and didn’t interfere with our talk. The food was delicious. Warm sourdough bread with escargot. And my friends gnocchi was delicious. Came again on3/2 the noise was so loud that my watch alerted me that the sound level had reached over 90 decibels. We will probably not come back.

    We enjoy exploring restaurants wherever we travel and appreciate French and Italian most. This gem was an absolute find! The open 24 hours was a bit off putting but boy were we pleasantly surprised! Everything from the calves liver to the scallops the outstanding escargot and steak tar tare. We would highly recommend this restaurant and this after sampling other high end French restaurants in the city. Hope they know how much they are appreciated by preparing high quality dishes at a price point that allows one to eat at this level of quality again and again as the menu is very broad. Bon appetite!

    Our first visit to the restaurant. Food and service were great. We had frog legs and butternut squash soup to start. Then we had duck confit, steak tartar and rollatini with a nice bottle of cote du rhone. Server is very nice and attentive. But wish the server and the bust person could SMILE more. At time the wait staff look so serious. We did love the food and will come back!
