Located in the historic district, Lewes Oyster House honors the rich heritage of ubiquitous and democratic oyster consumption in 18th and 19th century Middle Atlantic taverns and oyster houses. We serve inspired tavern fare, expertly prepared with fresh, regionally-sourced ingredients along with crisp lagers, interesting wines, and artisanal cocktails. All that, and a whole lot of love.

Please join us for lunch Tuesdays through Saturdays in the Tap Room, Oyster Bar or Main Bar. We do not accept reservations for lunch.

Walk-ins for dinner are always welcome first-come first-served at the Oyster and Main bar areas, all evening long beginning at 5 p.m.

Online reservations for dinner are VERY STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for the Walsh Room and Tap Room.

My girlfriend and I came here for a celebratory date and we truly have no complaints. The food (dinner rolls, lobster croquettes, hanger steak, and salmon) was delectable, drinks well-prepared (The Mitigator and a margarita), service was top-notch (shout out to Amanda D), and the atmosphere overall was exactly what you would want in an upscale beach restaurant. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Absolutely one of our favorite restaurants! My dilemma is deciding which of the seafood entrees to choose Salmon won out last night, but could have easily been happy with halibut or scallops! My wife orders the lobster roll most visits. Welcoming hostess Nancy as well as the friendly & courteous staff add to the positive experience.

Our party of eight had a marvelous celebratory meal with delicious appetizers including perennial fav coconut shrimp, new entrees with fresh summer sides, and inventive desserts. Great cocktails, of course, started us off and wine recommended by the sommelier complemented the entrees. We will return, again and again!

Not at all pleased with the atmosphere in some nook and cranny in the way back of the restaurant. While the food and service was very good the seating area was terrible…I would pay higher prices rather than be stuffed into an area. Please don’t yield to greed and put tables in areas with no atmosphere…it’s “dinnerish”

This is my favoarite restaureanat in Lewes and REhoboth. The hangar steak is excellent and presentation was marvelous. The oak chardonnay tastes like lemonade to me but was happily exchanged for a cosmo!

I love this place for interesting flavors that seem to melt in your mouth. The room we were in is a little crowded with tables close together but not bad. I recommend Lewes Oyster House for a delicious meal. We had Oysters Rockefeller that was a nice portion and delicious. Also the potato and ramp gnocchis were extremely flavorful. Two thumbs up!

Was not pleased with waitress due to lack of checking to see if we needed anything after our appetizers were served, where in fact, we wanted hot sauce. 15-20 minutes past and my husband ate his oysters without hot sauce. I had to seek our waitress to find her congregating with others..when I requested hot sauce for my crispy calamari. I know prices are up..but only 4 scallops in the entrée at an excess of $30. Just saying....
