Seafood lasagna was fabulous!
A seafood restaurant that has no fresh fish offering for the day. Simply amazing! The Grouper I ordered was over cooked and dry in taste. Awful is the best I can describe it. The onion rings were overcooked. I cannot see ourselves ever again frequenting this restaurant given how poor the food quality is.
Loved it!! Had an awesome birthday dinner there! No waiting & service was super fast & friendly! Definitely enjoyed the 3-5 p.m. specials & the prices for those items! Will be making it a regular place to have lunch or dinner when I’m in that area. Will also go for drinks as it appeared bar clientele were friendly & chatting about local events, sports, boats, etc. 👍🏻
The food and service were fabulous. Michelle, our waitress, had some terrific recommendations for us. Looking forward to returning.
I had their Crab Cake dinner. It was excellent. My husband had the Pork Chops. Not very good he didn’t finish his dinner. It was very dry and over cooked. Our service was very good. Leah was our server.
Fish was very fresh and well prepared. Server was very happy to get whatever we needed. Great place to meet with friends for dinner =)
I am spoiled, in that I remember Leverock's in My days on Treasure Island and eating at the hquarters at St. Pete Beach. This was excellent, outstanding food and service. This is not true today.
Great service. Nice table location with a view and food was excellent
Our last two visits have been very disappointing. On Mother’s Day we had a very small menu to choose from. From your website we were unaware of the Mother’s Day menu.
My wife couldn’t drink her Mamosa because it had too much grenadine and one of our guest couldn’t substitute her rice for the rice pilaf. The New England seafood special was a glorified Swanson dinner with bits of shell in the entrée.
Our meals were overpriced and underwhelming, we won’t be back until there’s better reviews.
I order a plate of babys clams whit pene. They only have the half of the preparation lelf, instead of making more, they fill up my plate whit 30 pieces of artichokes and coke spinach. I put the artichokes on the side of my plate. The waitress saw what l did , and ask me he l will have enough to eat. Later on the lady at the table near me, receive a full plare of babys clams. That relly insulted me.
Used to be a favorite but very disappointing on this visit. Service abrupt unfriendly.. zero warmth. Server had too many tables... catered to her favorites. Beer battered shrimp awful ..:all batter. Vegetables blah presentation blah. Salmon ok but puny onions on top scarce and over cooked. Not with price for sure.
It was far from full, so the noise level was great, and allowed us talk freely with our guest.
Salmon was excellent. Thanks for another great season. God willing, we will see you in
The seared tuna was wonderful but the fish and chips left something to be desired. There was another group of VERY loud women seated near us that caused a disturbance. If a group like that gets loud and out of control it would be nice for management to offer another table or at least manage the situation better.
Server, food and everything was great!
Although the setting is really wonderful with a view of the docks and water, the food lacked appeal. Our meals were edible but not very good. My fish was overcooked and our meals were flooded with heavy cream sauce. Rice was out of a box. The mixed vegetables of the day were very good and cooked to the appropriate tenderness (holding a little crispiness). The shrimp cocktail was tasty but the shrimp were very small.
This was our first visit to Leverock’s.
Our server was VERY friendly and attentive.
The restaurant was nice enough also.
Prices were very fair.
The food was good, but it wasn’t great.
Didn’t seem fresh-made, more like pre-prepared.
Veggies were mushy; nothing was very hot.
Was not good enough to bring us back.
Great meal! We brought friends from out of town and they loved it.
First time diners here. Our server, Marilee was wonderful. We definitely will be back.
very surprisingly nice again!! Food also very good, thanks for a nice evening!
Two out of the three meals were great. My grouper was fishy tasting and a dark color.
Food was luke warm--fish portion was tiny--ribeye steak was less than an inch thick and probably could not be classified as a ribeye cut
Leverock's is our go to spot while wintering here from Canada. We have tried most of the other restaurants in and around the Englewood area and we always come back to Levereock's for a guaranteed great experience. Except for one time during high season when the restaurant was slammed, the service is always excellent. We have the server Marilee on several occasions and there is none The menu is varied and has something for everyone. The early bird meals and 2 for 1 drinks are also a very good option. See you next winter.
The food was excellent! I would just advise that you check your itemized bill carefully before paying. We ended up paying for 2 bud lights and a Salmon dinner that we did not order. Our waitress never gave us a copy of the itemized bill to take with us and really didn’t show it to us after our meal. She covered up the food and just showed us the total which we thought was strange. The next day we started thinking that our meal cost a bit more than we thought it would...I called and got a copy emailed to me...found the error, called back and the manager refunded the money.
Just be sure to take the itemized bill from your waitress if it’s not put down on your table and check it!!!
Other than that, the food was without a doubt the best fish dinners we’ve had in the Englewood area!
Great menu and the choice of daily specials is always good. The ribs are excellent. Cod Jason is a favorite as well as the blackened tripletail.
Lever Rocks now take reservations. Which makes eating there easier.
I ordered stuffed shrimp and received stuffed grouper which I ate and was very good. And the hostess when we signed in had no idea that reservations had a number!
Great food! Great staff! We will definitely go back.
Theresa was super in giving us outstanding service.
The food was really good. The tripletail was excellent, and I'll definitely be back for more of that. Our server was great, but I think the kitchen was having some issues that night. It was busy, for sure, but not SRO or anything. We saw several servers walking around apologizing to their customers for the wait. It was a little more than an hour before we got the food. I doubt that the slow kitchen is a constant issue, though, because good servers would likely not tolerate that night after night. Mishaps happen, and I'm guessing that's all it was. The food's good, there are marina views, and everyone was really friendly, so we're going to try it again on another night.
UPDATE: We went back. As I suspected, the kitchen slowness referenced above seemed to be isolated to that one night. Tonight, the service was super-quick and cheerful, and the food was (again) delicious. I'd definitely recommend Leverock's for a great meal with a water view.
This was by far the worst experience In dining in my 63 years. The food was over cooked. Grouper no less and not inexpensive. The service was slow and when I made a comment t about the food her response was well you should have said something. NO! Maybe you should have checked back with our table. We ask for ketchup for our burnt fries and was told they ran out of ketchup? Really? I won’t be back or will anyone I know be back. Thanks for a memorable experience. You think she would have sent over a manager?? I asked for one and was told there was none on duty. I’m a full time resident here too!!
My out of town guest were very happy with the food and service, so was I. Will visit again soon.
Love the ability to book reservations through Open Table. We took our granddaughter from Chicago and she loved her onion encrusted salmon. Great view, good food, and excellent service.
With reservations on a Monday evening we had a very nice table by the window with a view. All staff were very friendly and acommodating. The food was very good with large portions. We did not feel rushed and were able to have conversation with our out of town guests. Look forward to returning.
Grouper was overly fishy, squash side dish was way under cooked, ribs were dried out and chewy. Service was inattentive- drinks were empty several times and service was slow. Won’t be back.
The ambiance is very interesting, in that it is elevated.. The service is good, the food is passable. For example the fish dishes do not hold a candle to the same dishes in the St. Pete venue. The noise level is high and true to form as one person raises their voice to be heard, it continues to elevate, and first thing you know you cannot hear your self talk.
I will still continue to eat there. Once every two to three weeks.
Service was good, overall. Delivery time of food was reasonable, if not just a bit too soon. Came before I finished my salad. I ordered the "Cod Jason" off of the sunset menu. Entree was a medium sized breaded piece of cod that was hard around the edges, and not very flavorful. Side was green beans and other veg that were cooked just past raw. This was a 3-course entree selection...and the desert was a small sliver of cheese cake. I guess the value was OK...but I was not impressed by the food prep. When (if) I return I will order a different item.
Excellent experience all the way around...food, service, price, atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
Food was tasty. I didn’t like the clam chowder but my husband did. My lobster appetizer was outstanding My husbands shrimp was tasty too. Visit here once a year and it never disappoints!
We had a great time ,food and service were very good. Will go again...
Relatives from out of town loved it. Good as usual.
