Food and drinks were good, but not outstanding (brocolli pizza had no brocolli on it!). Ambiance felt a little sterile. Cocktails were good. I would probably go back for drinks but not food. Other places in the area are better for the same price.
They served some of the best pasta I've had over the last year. Try the one with clams.
Great food and service
Leuca is a phenomenal option for high-end Italian food in Williamsburg. The service is incredibly accommodating - they were extremely patient with a group of 9 of us and gave our friend a fabulous desert gift on-the-house for her birthday. Relative to other high-end Italian, the value for how good the food was was exceptional. Most of us got pastas and everyone was immensely satisfied; I personally got the penne with lamb bolognese and mint and was very impressed. Highly recommend!
We were very excited to come to Leuca. Our reservation was cancelled 2x by Open Table. I remade it and then ended up with 2! Had to call restaurant to straighten it out. Our cocktails came to the table piecemeal . Appetizers were slow to come out. The food was absolutely delicious. Service was spotty . After dinner drinks, coffee and dessert came at different times.. We shall try again!
We have been to Leuca quite a few times. This is the first time we decided to arrive early and go up to Westlight for drinks and lite bites. The staff was attentive, the drinks were perfect and the view is breathtaking. As must try.
We then went downstairs to Leuca for dinner. Excellent service, wonderful staff, and very good food. I wish the menu would have a larger selection, but we always find something to eat and its always delicious.
Our server was very nice there were a few hiccups with things coming out early but nothing egregious. Thank you :)
Friend visiting from virginia
great place as always.
staff is incredible
sommelier is tremendous
of course I would recommend this place.
I loved the ambiance at Leuca. The food was great and the staff were attentive and helpful as far as menu choices/suggestions. Attended for a late Father’s Day dinner and we were treated like royalty as well as treated to a complimentary dessert option. Great pick. Will be back!
Lazy service and very expensive for what it is. Kids had pizza and pasta, and still it was a $350 dinner. Left hungry and uninspired. Food is not memorable or generous.
Great expedient service. Great food and ambiance!
I had not very pleasant dinner experience there. Sommelier was very nice and aknowleble. Waitress was horrible. I wish I remembered her name. We ordered whole chicken for two. When we asked her for ketchup, she said ”we don't hv ketchup it's a Italian restaurant ” with an attitude. I'm in a Service industry myself. I don't think that's the way you talk to your customer.
Beautiful space. The menu was interesting and had a nice variety for brunch. Service was an issue — our server was very pushy and service felt rushed despite the restaurant being totally empty save for four tables. At this price point, one expects more refined and thoughtful service.
Halibut cooked to perfection! We loved the three dip appetizer especially. Nicely spicy beet / citrus salad. We would return!
I like this place! But today’s service is so bad!
Always the best
The food was fantastic as was the ambiance. Will definitely be back for special occasion meals.
There were some strange moments service-wise. Generally our server was not guiding us through the meal and instead had a “how could you not know this” demeanor.
Was amazing, the plates from pizza, to salad too desert. Was spot on, our drinks were amazing. An waiter/tress was great.
Great Mexican food - very minimal, modern design/ambiance with typical street taco fare as well as interesting twists. For example, we had a battered broccolini starter that was amazing - very fitting in this little corner of the Italian part of Williamsburg.
Firmly mediocre. Decent food. Decent wine. Spotty service. Good atmosphere.
Night out with my wife celebrating anniversary. Didn't disappoint. Food was great, albeit a little unsurprising. Service was absolutely perfect. Slighty pricey but not out of character.
Came here for dinner before an event. Ambiance is great, but service was middle of the road. I’ll be very honest, every dish we ordered was fantastic. You will thoroughly enjoy what you order, but you’ll have to wait for it.
That’s seriously where Leuca has to improve. From the moment we ordered, our main entrees took over an hour to come out. Our drinks took 20 minutes too. Service was somewhat attentive, but filled with excuses about the delays. It was a Friday night, but it wasn’t packed. The bar wasn’t filled either, so it’s unclear what caused the delays.
As another reviewer mentioned, the service does not match the pricing or ambiance of this restaurant. That's the unfortunate thing because once everything does arrive the drinks are great and the food is amazing. Unfortunately, it gets ruined by the lack of service or what I assume is the communication between the staff and the kitchen.
Service does not match the ambiance and expected price level. Orders were not correct, had to get check fixed, portions were small. Waited 45 mins for pasta dish- similar issues with tables around us.
Had great expectations for this anniversary meal. The service was pretty appalling. After we finally put in our orders for drink and food together, we were served our appetizers about 20 minutes later, before our wine. Our plates were cleared and we waited over one hour for our entrees to come out. About 45 minutes into this wait, we had to pull someone aside and inquire. We were placated with salad, told our food was "next" and continued to wait. Entrees were lackluster. We declined dessert in favor of leaving more quickly to enjoy what was left of our night, and were brought a complimentary Tiramisu which prolonged the process of paying and leaving even further. Left after 10 pm for a 7:30 reservation. Multiple complaints at the tables around us, for similar issues. We won't be returning.
Wonderful place to have a celebration, however it was my friends birthday and they said ‘they got me’ when I wanted to send over a surprise dessert to her (thinking it was a complimentary cake / ice cream) but it came to a surprise on the birthday girls check in the end!
Also service was a little disappointing, water was asked to refill 3 times as service was so slow... ordered tea for dessert and didn’t come until the check came....
I’d go back again for the food, but everything else needs to improve for such a lovely and pricey place.
Service is sub par. Food was good - not great. Nice atmosphere.
The food is amazing!!! The only major issue, is that they were very under staffed on a Saturday night. We were constantly waiting for things because the waiter was serving almost 20 other tables. I applaud him for hustling, and we was super great, but he just had way too many tables to serve, so ultimately the service was slow.
Great experience, food and service!
Located in a vibrant part of Brooklyn
We went to Leuca for dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had a cocktail each and both were delicious. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were all spectacular as well. The smoked beet and citrus salad app was amazing, I absolutely loved the unexpected heat from it. I ordered the black shell pasta with shrimp and calamari and my husband ordered the bass with English peas...yum! I will be going back for sure!
We greeted nicely and the waitress commented that we had a birthday to celebrate. We wanted to order an appetizer to start but were told it would be better to order all at once because the kitchen was busy. Weird, but alright. While others in the restaurant got their nice birthday fireworks we were left with, well nothing. We did not get the snacks that the guests at the table next to us got either.
Great meal but left disappointed. Maybe they can't handle the stress very well.
Husband's 60th bday; came for lunch. Our server was friendly, gave him a whiskey on the house and brought out a dessert with a candle. The food was delicious!
Welcoming staff. Delicious food. Perfect service. Beautiful location.
I went on a food-for-half-price deal, and it was the fifth of the nine restaurants recommended by Time Out New York that I had tried. This was the first clunker. What a disappointment, beginning with the drinks, one of which was absurdly sweet after we were told it wouldn't be, and the other came "up" when it was supposed be on the rocks. My wife and I shared an asparagus entree, which looked nice and tasted okay, but the two main courses we ordered seemed amateurish in their execution. Not terrible, just ordinary, and the spaghetti portion was so tiny as to be laughable. There seemed to be many people walking around, and they seemed to want to try hard, but the service felt amateurish and cold. An all-around disappointment.
Wonderful experience for Mother’s Day brunch. Unusual and intriguing menu options, which makes a return visit much more likely. Service was at turns too intrusive and neglectful but it did not impact an overall great experience.
Food was great. Wood burning grill food was terrific
We went to Leuca for our anniversary dinner and we were so happy with how all-out the staff here went to help us celebrate. It was a wonderful experience and the food was exemplary (the burrata pasta was incredible). We'll definitely be back here!
