Entire experience was beyond great!
I’m all for Leuca, excellent rent food and service
Good food, especially the pizza. The dough makes a good pizza and this was great. Som gave a top recommendation also. Definitely add this one to the list.
incredible food and ambiance, going to do my wedding rehearsal dinner here!
The food was great but the service was horrible. We received our food but did not receive plates to eat off of and had to ask twice to get them. The server came and asked if we would like more water, we said yes and then he never came back with more water for us. Additionally we asked for olive oil and never received it. It was as if we were not even there. Unfortunate because the food was really great
We had great dinner at the Leuca on New Years Eve. Went for suckling pig! Wonderful choice, highly recommend 👌
New Years Eve. They were accommodating for an early seating reservation. Too many servers - so service inconsistent. Food very good espe
The service was great and the location was beautiful. The food was only okay, nothing amazing. Some of the portions were small for the price. For example, the grilled octopus is overwhelming small for the price.
We've been to this restaurant 3 times now and they never disappoint. The food is delicious, the staff is warm and professional and the ambiance is sophisticated but fun. I think this is my favorite restaurant in NYC. Pro tip - the pistachio cake is out of this world.
So we were served the wrong drinks, then the wine didn't match the wine list, then a fire alarm went off for 20 minutes. The staff wasn't apologetic, literally felt like no one cared about the poor level of service. I do not recommend anyone to go here.
Service was terrible. I had to ask three times for the status of coffee, drinks and coffee creamer. This also happened the last time we were here for dinner. If you don’t want to be frustrated by the service don’t eat here. We won’t be anymore.
The food was very good however I wouldn't say it was a great value to choose this restaurant over other great Italian restaurants in the neighborhood. The Server's assistant Anthony was gracious and so accommodating to my grandmother who was in a walker (cheers for accessibility!). Our server was fantastic. She really took the time to explain the overly complicated menu- you can't read the menu and imagine what you are going to get without assistance. Our server was so kind in bringing pistachio cake and a sparkly candle to our table. I've heard such great things about this restaurant it just fell short of experience- and for a bowl of pasta and a pizza in a casual setting- I would recommend a dozen other places with a similar price point and reputation. We enjoyed it but are not inspired to go back.
I went for my birthday brunch it was so yummy!
We had a nice experience. Staff was nice . A little too dark .
Great drinks and pizza was outstanding . Will definitely be back soon!
In general the experience was good, including the food and the service at the table. However, we had a reservation at 8:15 and we were given a table at 8:50. We stood around for over half an hour and the staff should have offered us a glass of wine or champagne, but they weren’t even apologetic about the situation.
it was a great night
While staying at The William Vale, I decided to try Leuca for dinner and invited a friend. Great food and service; one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.
A Williamsburg gem for sure!
We had dinner here for thanksgiving, and the food was excellent. With the exception of the turkey (that was very traditional), the rest of the dishes were an interesting re-interpretation of Italian cuisine. Everything was well balanced, making the tasting experience at Leuca a must to try.
Spectacular. Suitable for a special occasion as well as a casual night out. The staff is attentive, well informed and expertly hospitable in every way. The food is among the best in the neighborhood and compares favorably to all of the competition. Even though it's in a hotel I've never noticed any weird tourists lurking about, they must keep them locked up. If you like wine from southern Italy this is the place-so many options and great values-the list is half the reason this place exists. The food is always amazing. Don't be afraid to order an appetizer, pasta and main course, that's how they do it over there and you wouldn't want to miss out on anything. Or just pop in for their delicious pizza napolitana. I haven't tried the suckling pig for two yet but if I figure out how to hypnotize Lolly then we might go for it. So far I tried the thing with the pocket watch and the one with the swirling patterns and the strobe light but nothing has worked so far. I think next time we'll have pizza.
Leuca, even when they are off their game, is better than most other restaurants at the top of their game. We visited twice in a three day period and we couldn't help but be impressed by the smooth and quietly efficient service, the simply outstanding food, and the overall experience. Leuca is not inexpensive, especially when you add wine to the tab, but you get a real quality experience for your money. Do yourself a favor and try it.
Their Sheep’s Milk Ricotta With Hot Honey & Garlic was the best hands down with their bread...Delicious!! Wish they gave more of it.
My favorite restaurant not only in Brooklyn, but in NYC (and I’m a Native New Yorker so I’ve tried a lot!) I’m a repeat customer at Leuca. Dining at the restaurant is a phenomenal experience from start to finish. From the ambiance, to the stellar service of the wait staff, the knowledge of the sommelier and the food! I dream about the ricotta and honey appetizer often and it’s always so tasty, rich, and fresh. Chef Ricco often walks the floor to greet patrons as well as give recommendation and make suggestions on the menu- which I love! The seasonal changes to the menu are always a treat! Last night, I tired butternut squash ravioli that was out of this world! Dining at Leuca it’s an amazing experience through and through.
I was running late so I went to change my 730pm reservation. I noticed that there were an abundance of slots available (when I looked at 7pm), so I booked 830pm. One hour later, 930pm we were still not seated. In addition, there were 3 couples ahead of us, who were also not seated. We were first told, that they were waiting for a table to leave. That was a lie, since there were at least three couples ahead of us, who also were waiting over an hour. At 940pm were seated, not even the perfunctory free drink was offered nor a real explanation. It would seem that the obvious business model of this restaurant is to purposely overbook. Food was fine, but the experience was overshadowed by a poor and indifferent front desk.
Food and ambiance were amazing, HIGHLY recommend. Even though we were on time for our resy, we still had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. Aside from that, everything was perfect.
Took 30 mins before anyone took our order while we sat waiting. Another hour before food even came. Very disappointing.
One of Williamsburg's best!
coursing was a little inconsistent and unpredictable. food was great. service was friendly and informative. will return
Absolutely perfect in every way.impeccable service, great food choices, accommodating to food allergies .
The only thought:...some wine choices under60$?
Leuca is an excellent Italian restaurant with a kitchen that knows what it is doing. The restaurant staff is quite professional and welcoming. They not only welcomed me back, they also asked if we would like to have the same wines that we had on our previous visit. Now THAT is service. The one unpleasant note of the evening was outside the restaurant's purview. The restaurant is down two flights of stairs below sidewalk level. There is an elevator that goes from the lobby of the hotel to the restaurant but it was out of service. That posed a problem for us, as my wife really does need the elevator to get to the lower level. The sour note came from the hotel staff, who seemed uncaring about the situation. However, it did not detract from the overall excellence of Leuca and the enjoyment of our meal.
The service was polite, friendly and knowledgeable, from the host desk through each person who took care of me over the meal. The food was really well prepared. Not just good-for-a-hotel-restaurant, but really solid skills in the kitchen. I was very happy with my experience. Thanks! JB
Food is incredible. The service leaves a lot to be desired. It took the waiters 25 minutes before taking our order, on a not busy Sunday morning. The chefs didn’t prepare all the table’s meals at once (this was brunch, not tapas) so some people had to wait for 10+ minutes without food while other people in the party enjoyed. Food is delicious but this is the same experience I have every time I go to the restaurant.
Leuca was outstanding with their service. We were rushing from our elopement and showed up 15 mins late but they were so nice about it and surprised us with a free glass of champagne. The food we ordered were amazing and table service was great! Everyone was so sweet! They gave us complimentary sorbet to finish the evening and it was so refreshing. Thank you for making our already special day even more special.
Third time there — was confused by service’s insistence that the entire order go in at once when the restaurant was still pretty empty
Can't say enough good things about this place. Initially trepidatious based on the mega-size and touristy feel, the place truly over delivered. Food was exceptional and portions large (home made pasta was crazy good). Service was prompt but not fussy and expedient without being rushed. Room was buzzy but not noisy. Server provided comped pasta dish from the chef which was extraordinary and we would have easily paid for it as a main course. Wine choices solid and not crazy over the top price wise. Scene is a little Jersey, but otherwise a great choice (especially for groups) for delicious food and a nice time.
My fiancé and I went here with a few friends and family after I proposed. The food, drinks and staff were amazing. An excellent experience that I would highly recommend for all occasions.
Great for a special day! The brunch menu had some really good plates to share and their special pork was more than enough for our party of 7.
The service was also outstanding and the atmosphere led to a beautiful evening.
Absolutely amazing food and our server was exceptional. The only complaint is that we were seated almost 50 minutes late.
