We have ordered porterhouse steak for two at other steakhouses but this one was not as good as Ruth Chris or the Park Steakhouse. Not bad but not great for $120. It was also very fatty. I did not have an appetizer but my husband had oysters that was good. Not much of a dessert menu & I wanted chocolate ice cream & they only had vanilla. My husband had the cheesecake which was good. Will try again though & select something else. The service was very good.

This was the first time we went to this location since they moved. The food was good, but the overall experience was lacking for a steakhouse with steakhouse prices. The octopus appetizer was $24 and there were 3 very small tentacles. The servers were wearing t-shirts and aprons but not a polished look. They didn’t use a book to give us the check. They folded it and put a $400 bill right on the table. I noticed the wine lockers had white adhesive labels on them with the owner’s names. The ambiance was pretty but not a steakhouse vibe.
We were provided dessert menus and then we sat and waited for 20+ minutes for our server to return to ask if we wanted anything. By then we decided to just leave and asked for the check. I absolutely understand the delays restaurants are experiencing right now, but the restaurant was not that busy and seemed to have enough staff. Overall the food was very good and everyone was very nice, but we left disappointed.
First about checking in - we arrived a week earlier than my res. I made a same day reservation but obviously entered the wrong date online. The host (manager) was quick to figure out the problem, found our reservation for the following week, then changed it on the spot so we could sit and be served. Painless for us, but I think a PIA to him.
This was our second time there and it was better than the first. And, the first was really good. Exceptionally clean place, great service staff and very, very good food. A little pricey, but it goes with the territory.
Very, very small portion of halibut and the service was awful and slow.
It was our 22nd Anniversary.
The food was outstanding and so was the service. They were very accommodating and understanding especially with children. Wonderful would highly recommend the porterhouse for two. The octopus appetizer was the right amount of spicy and delicious.

The food (calamari, kale caesar salad, grilled branzino, ribeye and lobster papadelle) was great but the whole dining experience was totally rushed.

It was our first trip to Let's Meat and it was excellent!! The ambiance was definite steakhouse decor. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the food was even better. I will definitely be back. Check it out you won't be disappointed!!
The cream spinach could have been hotter and the steack order was wrong- the noise level is terrible and the service is okay not great... but with the shortage of labor - the service was better than other places but when paying this kind of money i would expect better service.
On a Wednesday night that was not crowded,Both couples ordered porterhouse steak for 2 and requested medium as we thought if we asked for medium well it would be cooked too much
Ours came out almost raw so we sent it back. It came back rare At best. Did not want to send it back a third time. The other couples steak was very fatty and grizzly and really rare instead of medium.
No manager came by to see if we were ok although the waiter apologized profusely several times for the steak. I think he didn’t want to take it back to the kitchen. He said he would tell kitchen we were very unhappy with it but no one bothered to appear
A steakhouse of this nature should know how to cook meat. They don’t. The restaurant was not not crowded so they should have gotten it right. It was not a hectic Saturday night!
Service: while we were eating bread a bus boy came and took all our knives so I asked him how we were to butter the bread. So he left us one knife for us all to use!!
Our waiter was good but it took forever and a reminder to him to-get a second round of wine
When the food arrived the server almost dropped the food on the table with no regard to placement or room on the table. I had to have him lift the meat platter so I could get my fork. There was no room on the table for the rest of the food and it was crowded onto the table.
Good news: Dessert a chocolate medley was good as was coffee.
Meal with no appetizers and 20% tip was close to $500 for 4 people
The experience should have been a lot better for NYC prices in Bergen county
Cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone as this is second time we experienced these issues on weekday nights, not a Saturday. We have heard similar comments from friends

Food was amazing! Will be back soon. The staff is very welcoming. Great waitress. Owner came over to the table to see how we were enjoying ourselves. Great place.
Food was excellent. Air conditioning a bit too high for comfort. Service was ok. Can be better. Overall ambiance very nice. I would recommend it for a special meal.

Food was delicious. Service and drinks were average they served a cabernet Ice cold then told me all there house wines run through a keg system so they come out cold Bananaland stuff for 100 plus each person diner.
We had a very lovely Father’s Day dinner. The food, drinks and service were very good. We had a very nice time. I’m only rating it 4 stars because the scallops we ordered were a bit sandy, and the cilantro we asked to be omitted was still on the plate. For what we spent, I would expect a higher attention to detail.

One of the best meals I have had in a while. How can you go wrong with a monster sized bacon cheeseburger followed by bread pudding?
Out for dinner with two other couples on a Saturday evening. was good. Most enjoyed the burrata appetizer. Very small portion of salmon for $32. Kitchen was fast.
The valet parkers, the hostess and a busboy named Aidan were friendly, efficient and professional. Waiter though was brusque, frazzled, impatient and curt. She didn’t smile once all night! Didn’t introduce herself (tall woman/dark hair) or welcome us. First sentence was “What drinks you want!” Didn’t say thank you at anytime even when we were paying $700, including a generous tip. No polish. No poise. Almost aggressive in her demeanor. Seemed annoyed always. Runners practically threw the food on the table. Manager never came through dining room to check on the table
We dined at Houston’s at Riverside Square in Hackensack the Saturday evening before and the ambiance, tabletop, service, food, food styling, food value and manners of the staff were head&shoulders above that of Let’s Meat Steakhouse of River Vale.
Our dinner took a long time to come. Staff was overwhelmed. But the service was excellent.

Staff was not flexible. We asked to be moved they would not. It took the waitress 45 minutes to take our initial order. For the remainder of our meals she was nowhere to be found. The food was significantly below average for what they were charging. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
This place is a joke. All web info says BYOB. I show up with wine and first thing owner sats is “I have a bar.” Seated us in their tent which is fine but nothing special, and the first thing waiter says is we have a $25 uncorking fee . I mean there’s a way to say it people. We already knew anyway. We ordered some sangria🙄 They were out of two specials And the restaurant was fairly empty. The food took a while to come out and waiter said sorry they were shorthanded in the kitchen tonight. We had to ask three times to get bread. Steaks were cooked properly. They were OK but the chimichurri sauce is what was needed. Brought out the wrong side dish. Corrected it. We Ordered a special sushi roll. A little small but fresh enough. Crabcake was good but no accompaniment.No slaw, no garnish. Didn’t want dessert because I heard other people saying none of it was good. We had said it was a birthday -they did nothing to acknowledge it I guess because we didn’t order dessert. Just do not see a reason to go back. Capital Grille is much better.
Let me start that I will go back for another try. Everything was great except the lobster tails. These are expensive to begin with and I get it, but please make sure they are cooked correctly. They were so overdone it was like eating a rubber tire. We didnt have the heart to complain because the service was so good.
Party of 6, 2 not happy with their meal. One Ribeye Steak was unacceptable of which management agreed and offered another steak, refused it and it was removed from the bill. The other steaks at the table where fine to include another Ribeye and a Tomahawk Steak. For an establishment to charge these prices the chef should have known better than to serve this piece of meat.
The food was delicious
Excellent dinner. We enjoyed The Halibut, Filet Mignonette ands the Soft Shell Crab special. All were perfectly prepared. The crabs had a very light sauce which let them stay crispy and the meat was tender. French fries were excellent. Also enjoyed some sushi as an appetizer. Great meal
