    A pretty hip new restaurant the specials though quite expensive were very good the duck from the regular menu was pretty dry and nothing special ( for the price should have been) the noise level was off the charts- the waiter got our appetizer wrong because he said he couldn’t hear me but as it was when he sent out the wrong thing (a cheese platter) however it took so long to get the correct order ( a charcuterie platter which was great ) that the main course arrived before we could finish the appetizer which was not nice but all in all one of the better restaurants in the area

    This is my third visit to L’Etoile in Oyster Bay. The ambiance, food and vibe is a fantastic! We had mussels 3 different ways delicious , clean and nice size. The onion soup is an explosion in your mouth with not too much cheese. The oysters are fresh , sweet and opened correctly. Served with three different sauces. French fries are cooked perfect just like Belgium fries. The filet mignon couldn’t be better medium rare cooked perfect with a side order of green beans. Our waiter was very efficient and knowledgeable on all dishes. My only problem now is I can’t choose between Stellinas and L’Etoile!!😍

    Exquisite food that I have had in a very long time. The only down side was the noise level. Way too loud and couldn’t have conversation with our guests without raising our voices. Need to fix that otherwise everything else was perfect!

    We dine at Daniel in the city quite often, and during a recent visit L’Etoile , my wife asked for a Lychee Martini. The waiter replied, “This is a French restaurant — we don’t serve that.” Maybe it wouldn’t hurt to send the staff over to Daniel to see what true hospitality and service look like.

    Second time at this restaurant - we found service to be much more personable during this visit thanks to Julia - a delightful and caring young woman. Loved their take on the French Onion soup and the duck dish was delicious and generously portioned but the salmon was a little less moist as it was during our first visit. Overall a good experience and we will go back for a third visit.
