I enjoy having dinner here. Easy to park, staff is wonderful. Specials are always great!!
This was our second visit to Letitia's Fiore- this time to celebrate an adult and child birthday-
just as delicious as the first time- pizza with egg plant delicious, the gnocchi was nice and light (and not too creamy)
good children's menu, I was surprised
we look forward to visiting in the warm weather so we can try the patio
server was friendly and knowledgeable with great recommendations on food and drink. atmosphere was nice with quieter noise. Went with family members and had a great time. looking forward to returning again soon.
Easily the best Italian food I've ever had! They import all of their ingredients, which are remarkably fresh and delicious, and the food is amazing. The restaurant is very nice in its own right and the service is very good as well. Do yourself a favor and try it!
The food at Letezia's was bland and poorly prepared. The bread before dinner was like stale sandwich bread. The pizza was soggy and the mushroom started lacked flavor. Very disappointing.
Pizza was delicious, reminded me of being in Italy. We went with a group of 7 with a few kids, the staff was very nice and the pizza is some of the best around. I will be going back!
We loved our food at Leltizia's Fiore
Service was excellent
Added to that, my husband left his hat and was able to retrieve it a few days later
The service was exquisite. Our server was very accomodating and friendly. The food was very tasty and portion sizes were just right. The presentation of the polenta was also a pleasant surprise for my group. This little restaurant is definately on my list of recommendations for others.
For years, I've wanted to try Letizia's and finally a friend and I went for dinner. Except for a small glitch, everything was great. I loved my salad (a yummy variation on a traditional arugula salad) so much that I would go back just for that. We shared the polenta special -- huge portion, creamy polenta, meat sauce that you could add yourself -- and really liked it. We tried the calamari appetizer too. It's listed as being in a white wine sauce but it came in a spicy red sauce instead, which was not to our tastes, so the server kindly took it back given that it wasn't what was listed on the menu. We then split the salmon and it was really good, but nothing unusual. There were enough dishes on the menu that sounded great that I will go back for sure.
I really enjoyed my salmon ravioli! My husband had a bad experience with the risotto, it was not creamy and kind of just fell apart like overdone rice with little seasoning. He asked for salt even for his dish. That is totally not like him. He also wasn't please with the octopus that came out more like a salad than an octopus app plate. We both enjoyed the wine, and my caramel gelato as well as my dish.
I was hoping that this would be a real find. When we arrived the place was nearly empty. The hostess brought the next group of several adults and a somewhat noisy child next to our table instead of putting them some distance away. As it turned out the adults were the noisy ones. The restaurant was very dark. I guess if you are with people your really don't want to see, this is a good thing. If on the other hand they don't want you to see the food then that is something else. The place was decorated with a lot of empty flower pots...for me winter is grim enough with out having to be reminded of it with this symbolism. The salad was good, but perhaps I choose the entrée. I might give it another chance but I would prefer more light and a more cheerful ambiance.
Letizia's Fiore is great everytime we go. They are so friendly and the food is outstanding. Great place!
We come here A LOT and this time we brought friends with us who had never been-- they both LOVED it , too. Found is outstanding and the family (son and mom) are so nice. I can even buy my favorite pasta to go now .
love finding the good places off the beaten path. Great neighborhood gem.
Always a great staff with excellent menu and wine suggestions. There is also a market on site, so you can buy your own wine for dinner, if you prefer.
We were so pleasantly surprised at the creative decor, the general ambiance, and the quality of the food. Had no expectations, really, and were just looking for something in the neighborhood. We basically built dinner for three going sort of tapas-style, ordering four appetizers. Now I want to go back and try a pasta dish.
Drinks and calamari were great!!! Pizza not so much. Had the salami pizza and OH BOY that salami. Miserable..... Sausage pizza was MEH... My wife loved the salmon ravioli. My pasta venison bolognese was ok, very "TOMATOEE". Need a few more lights in the place. Had a group of possible" just got a night away from my husband and kids" girls, sitting right behind us and were about as obnoxious as I've ever heard a group. Wish someone from the restaurant would've addressed that. So no need to go back to the restaurant instead I'll go to her bakery which is phenomenal!!!!
Interesting menu. well prepared and presented. great staff.
We don't dine out that often because, well, I'm a pretty darn cook myself.
When we do go out though I am able to duplicate the recipe at home and we add it to our list of choices.
Not Letizia's though. While giving my meal the once over while eating I was thoroughly convinced it would take me way too many tries to duplicate this and that I was able to figure out why.
Fresh ingredients! I mean super fresh! Heck, they even make their own pasta.
Our groups' plates covered everything from wild boar pasta in a pancetta sauce to pizza and everything I was given the right to try was incredible.
If you know good food and the trouble it takes to produce it, give this place a try.
Service was great, the owners gracious, and our tummies were full.
Great local Italian spot. Some of the best pasta and pizzas in the city.
Such a nice find. Don't know what's best, whether it's the market up front or the casual restaurant in back but this place is definitely growing in popularity. If you're thinking Italian in Logan Square this is a must-try.
I really enjoyed my dinner at Letizia's restaurant. I was welcomed by her and her attentive staff.
She recommended some dishes which were really good. I really liked the herbs gnocchi and the boar ravioli. The tiramisu was non-traditional but good.
I will definitely go back in my next visit to Chicago.
Always have great experience at Letizia's. The have a couple different wild boar dishes on the menu that are excellent.
Ask is they still have carrot gnocchi (off menu item) it's delicious.
We were here on a Tuesday (rainy) night and only one other group was having dinner. Small indoor seating but ambiance was nice. Food was good, service was a bit slow for only having two tables to wait on. I would go back when the weather was nicer. They're outdoor seating looks fab!
We love coming here, even though the place is a little out of the way for us. The house made pasta is delicious and complemented by awesome sauces and great service.
Great food. Small and cozy on first floor, plus a large room and bar on lower level that would be great for private parties.
We made a reservation and they still made us wait for 35mins with few updates. Other people with no reservation had the same wait. What was the point?
The food was outstanding however more vegetarian choices would be great.
I've been here several times and it's always been great experience.
Homemade pastas, amazing sauces and perfect wines to complement. Delicious salads include a brussel sprouts salad with an orange honey dressing that is delicious. PLEASE put the Tonia salad back on the menu--sorely missed. Pizzas from their wood burning oven are thin, crispy and delicious. Love both the spicy eggplant pasta and the eggplant ravioli, as well as the salmon and sausage pasta with cremini mushrooms and peas. Stuffed mushroom appetizers are buttery and divine. Chocolate cake and Tiramisu are also divine! Nothing here is even average. So good.
We have an embarrassment of riches in terms of Logan Square restaurants, but Letizia's is my under-the-radar favorite. All the pastas are house-made, lovingly prepared and presented. The wine list is approachable but carefully curated, with a handful of selections by the glass designed to pair with the rustic Italian favorites. Because Letizia and her son Fabio are often in the restaurant, it feels like being invited into someone's home for dinner. Try to strike up a conversation if you can. It's a treat to talk with them about the food, wine, recipes, and their home back in Italy. Be aware that noise levels can get high in the back dining room, and while service is generally excellent, there's one server in particular who seems like he's phoning it in, so it can be a bit of a bummer to be seated in his station. But the overall experience is so warm, inviting, and reliably delicious that these sporadic challenges are hardly noticed. We love this place for either a date night or a Tuesday night; it's as festive and celebratory or as casual as you care to make it. A true gem in the neighborhood!
The pasta dishes were incredibly delicious. You can feel the freshness of the ingredients with every bite. The beet risotto balls are I vegetarians dream come true!
Amazing little place with some awesome food. The outdoor dining space is one of the best. Good meals matched with lovely desserts. You must go!
We were pleasantly surprised by the home made pasta which was delicious. The garlic bread appetizer was terrific...but save room for the dessert. The tiramizu was the best I have had.
Our first visit to Letizia's Fiore will not be our last! Food, service and prices were excellent. Waiter was so attentive, and food was really good without being pretentious. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a beautiful summer evening. We recommend you try it!
Love this place. Excellent food, service and decor. Possibly even better than the Letizia's in Wicker Park.
The pasta was fantastic and we loved the deserts.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Letizia Fiore. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The menu offered options for a wide variety of tastes. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend the wood-fired pizzas and the fresh pastas.
What a find. This unassuming little storefront has two lovely patio areas and a long main dining room. All is situated behind a little retail shop, dominated by a giant wood-burning pizza ovens. The pizzas are crisp, creative and the crust is cooked to perfection. Salads are also creative, with light, tasty dressings. Homemade pastas are superb--the wild boar ravioli delicious in a delicate tomato cream sauce, the spicy eggplant pasta superb, the salmon special enough for two people, and cooked just right and the mushroom papparadelle with truffle butter just delicious, too. Desserts looked superb, but we were stuffed. Even the sliced crusty bread is great-we used it to sop up our sauces, they were that good. We will be back MANY times!
The food was excellent. The service was good but just a little slow to get us our bill and process it. We would definitely go back again though.
Great patio, great service, well-priced wine list. My husband and I will be coming back often.
