A most enjoyable lunch among friends. Excellent cuisine and although the Chateau Beaumont was unavailable, the Leoville Barton made up for it very well.
Superb as always.
Will return again when I’m next in town
The food was excellent and the atmosphere great. Highly recommended
A wonderful, atmospheric unpretentious restaurant. The food was simple and sublime - classic dishes made perfectly. By far and away the best Beef Wellington (although, being French it was 'en croute') I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, succulent fillet wrapped in beautifully crispy and flavourful filo pastry. And the pistachio souffle was was of those dishes that will stick with you forever, so unbelievably tasty that you need to book a second night in the hotel just to return the following day!
Staff were friendly and attentive and the pianist provided wonderful background entertainment with renditions of everything from One, from A Chorus Line, to the theme from ET, whilst also mashing The Phantom Of The Opera with How Much Is That Doggy In the Window. Perfect.
Good food in a classic setting, snails are the highlight
The most amazing evening, the ambience, the layout out, and of course the food, such incredible tastes and texture and so well presented. Our thanks also to lovely waiter from Sheffield who looked after us all evening. Many thanks from the Birthday Girl ;-)
Sublime. The atmosphere, service, food, wine and cocktails were all incredible. The lighting was just right. The table was perfect and cosy like sitting in your own living room but with the luxuries of being looked after. We were there for over four hours, didn’t want to leave. Recommended for a date or a catch up with friends. The fact that I could also bring my dog in and get the same service we received is truthfully very relaxing. Great experience. I will be visiting again very soon and make this a regular thing. Couldn’t recommend enough.
Attentive service and good balanced menu. A delightful evening which also included an accomplished pianist
Food was amazing. Perfect place for a romantic date.
This was an exceptionally welcoming and friendly restaurant. The sushi was outstanding and the main courses were excellent. Wine and cocktails were delicious. Great evening for a date.
We had the pleasure of visiting L’Escargot for my Mum’s 60th Birthday. We had been a little worried by some of the more recent comments but I have to say our evening was excellent from beginning to end - do not be put off!! The Lobster Bisque was sensational, but beware it is quite filling. The Chateaubriand was cooked to perfection. Lovely touch bringing us some chocolates on a plate with candles to sing Happy Birthday at the end. Thank you L’Escargot, we are looking forward to seeing you again.
The main downstairs dinning room was so hot it made the dining experience unbearable we left as quickly as we could. Why mangers would not check and use their a/c is incomprehensible.... food was ok not great but the atmosphere was not something I’d rush to return to ...... we became ill so got out of there ASAP one our eating was done
We had a set menu meal which was very good value. The food was excellent and the service could not be faulted, friendly efficient , but not too much. The ambience was just right too .
Everything we ate was incredibly tasty, especially the lobster bisque! Staff were friendly and attentive and we loved the ambiance. Perfect for a special occasion!
Fabulous as ever! Never fails to impress. Food, atmosphere, service
We had the most wonderful night here. The food is incredible, staff are laid back and knowledgable. No doubt it was a treat price wise but absolutely worth it.
Superb food excellent served efficiently & professionally we'll definitely be back
Second time of dining within July. Like everything about this restaurant, a gem in the heart of Soho. Good choice of food for gluten & dairy free, great atmosphere and service. Definitely visit again.
Absolutely fabulous food and no rush service. Knowledgeable waiter and barman. No where better for me.
What an amazing place. Fabulous food and wonderful service.
The bread and the butter were very nice. The starter was excellent and the main course was very good. We did not have a dessert. The wine was excellent.
The service was excellent, and I would particularly note that our waiter was extremely pleasant and helpful.
However, had we known, then we would have preferred to have been seated in the rear dining room which looked much more comfortable pleasant.
The front dining room looks “very tired” and needs a thorough refurbishment. The table at which we were seated was old and the chairs were not very comfortable. Consequently the ambiance of the room was not good.
I enjoyed the lunch and I will return again.
Sweetbreads done to perfection. Difficult to find.
Great food. Good, friendly service. Not loads of choice, but tournedos Rossini was really nice. Less good was the fact there was only one toilet for both ladies and gents. Only one cubicle, located next to the urinals.
I came here for a meal for my 30th birthday and the whole experience was SUCH a treat. The service was impeccable. The food was some of the best food I’ve ever had. I want to relive the whole night. Amazing, thank you!
A lovely restaurant all round, great service, excellent food - the lobster was delicious! Unhurried experience, spot on for pre theatre supper.
I’ve always loved L’escargot. The good is always the incredible and it’s a really lovely building.
This time was just as good although the staff weren’t quite up to their usual high standards to start with. It took a while for them to come and take our order initially but once they got into the swing of things with the food they were great.
Fantastic service. Super food. Great service.
Excellent food, from both the sushi and the à la carte menus. Superb service from our Italian waiter
Amazing restaurant great food def will be back loved there
5 stars service & excellent foods! Authentic French food and lovely atmosphere! We enjoyed all.
Full hearted recommendation. Great food, extremely kind service and epic pianist!
Polite and attentive. Ordered another drink before my main but wanted it in 10mins so I could enjoy with my guineafowl. 10mins later it arrived on time. Food was delicious and piping hot. Fantastic. Live piano in the background, created a lovely ambiance for our date night. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Was my first visit and will definitely be returning
Always a sense of joy and excitement in visiting L'Escargot. You know you're going to have an amazing dinner, great service with a lovely atmosphere. We brought our dog this time and he was treated like the Prince that he is. Fabulous evening.
The food was absolutely delicious; lobster bisque and chateaubriand were outstanding. Beautiful wine and the service was faultless. Thank you!
Amazing atmosphere, food, and service. recommend anyone like to have some traditional french food in the UK
Wonderful restaurant and an amazing dining experience. Delicious food and great service!
First time, will definitely return
Sushi at what is supposedly a quintessential French restaurant... come on guys really ?
Went for my boyfriend’s birthday and we had a beautiful meal. Obviously we had to have the escargot flambè which was fabulous and the lobster and Halibut were both cooked so well. They even brought over a happy birthday sweet treat for my boyfriend. We will be back very soon
