Much enjoyed the whole experience of a high class French restaurant. Food and service excellent, attentive and importantly for me, friendly.
Pre show meal
Excellent food, couldn't fault it. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable and the staff are very attentive and polite. Will definitely be back, this time with friends.
Great restaurant in busy London area. Great service, at the right standard follow by the food quality as well, nothing to say, every dish we had was spotless. Highly recommended.
Very nice experience from start to finish. The food was amazing and the service great! The interior was well decorated and did not fake the French touch with a bunch of clichés. Foie gras and steak tartare were absolutely amazing. I also recommend the truffle mashed.
Just perfect - love this place - dog friendly too!!
Our experience was amazing. Delicious food, superb service and great ambience. Will definitely be returning.
Brilliant. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent ambience. I will be back! (The beef fillet is great!)
Classic french dishes executed very well. If it’s good enough for Jay Rayner.....
An excellent early evening dinner after attending a matinee at the Dominion theatre. Food, wine and service was excellent.
Food service and overall experiance were first class will recomend to anyone.
Lovely french food and reasonably priced for what you get. Got the £22 starter and main deal. Ordered onion soup to start - was really good with lots of bread and nice and cheesy. The main was beef bourgignon which was delicious - great flavour. I even got a dessert of egg custard tart which was equally delicious. Only disappointed that they don't do their chicken escalope anymore, I used to love that. Would highly recommend.
Really attentive service. The lobster bisque was lovely and the soufflé was great. I have the time out box so the meal was 50% off so it made the meal really good value. I saw they have a set menu too though which seems reasonably priced.
Nice restaurant and service but my wife and I thought the food was only average. We shared the Chateaubriand and we both thought the beef was a bit tough and dry which was disappointing. Also the table we had in the window was in a good position which was nice but it was too small and cramped. Having eaten at a number of top restaurants in London we would only rate this experience as average.
We had a great pre-theatre dinner here. Perfect service from arrival to departure. Food was great quality accompanied by delicious gin & tonics. Will be back.
We had dinner at L'Escargot before going to the theatre and had a lovely time. The ambiance is terrific and the service is quick and thoughtful. We told them we had to be out by 7:15, and we were, with no feeling of being rushed. Great stuff. We had the fixed menu which was quick and delicious: French onion soup and the Jerusalem artichoke risotto were really good. We very much enjoyed our evening.
We had a fabulous meal for my husband’s birthday. We will definitely go back next time we’re in the area.
Great food & decent wine list - service could be much more freindly.
Very attentive service.
Good food. Good ambience. Quite expensive overall.
A very lovely old fashioned Parisien type restaurant.
Amazing staff. Very helpful and friendly. Very courteous. Food was good.
Food and service did not disappoint. We will definitely return to this beautiful restaurant.
Food, service, ambiance, ... everything was perfect, thank you!
Amazing food, ambience and service.
Simply superb food served by very attentive staff. The chateaubriand was outstanding.
A very cosy restaurant that has a fantastic ambience. The service was good and the presentation of the food was great. However the food that we have ordered has been too salty and we felt very thirsty after the meal. It’s not healthy either to have so much salt in food.
Great food, great value, great staff, great ambience! Loved it.
High quality food made with real skill and served with exemplar hospitality. French chefs should be proud (jealous) for this Escargot. Fabulous.
Love this traditional French restaurant- perfect service and food
Ate at 5pm before theatre. I ordered lobster bisque, confit duck and chocolate fondant from the offer menu, my French partner had tournedos rossini. All delicious - over generous with the soup! Great service but no one speaking French...
An excellent Soho restaurant, very high quality food.
The lobster and avocado special was beautiful, taste and texture were just right. The wine list is not cheap, but holds many lovely wines, including by the glass.
The greatest French Onion Soup I have ever eaten in my life! Excellent food and great service. The OpenTable menu is very good value for money.
A must-have entry for any decent black-book of where to dine in style when in London.
The legendary institution delivered with impeccable charm and service, as well as superb food and wine.
Excellent experience, we’ve holiday in Provence on numerous occasions and have eaten some wonderful food in small backstreet bistros and larger expensive restaurants too, generally the food in France offers great value for money and the wine is cheaper but we expected to pay more in ten uk and it was worth every penny. Would highly recommend and would definitely return if in London again.
We really enjoyed our evening at L’Escargot. Delicious food and very friendly service. Always enjoyable.
Another good experience, and my friend was given a special plate of petit fours at the end for his 70th birthday, which was a nice touch.
