First time here, the food is exquisite,lobster,beef fillet-absolututely divine. Pianist just added to the enjoyment of the evening , perfect candlelit dinner for two venue

For an early dinner post matinee this was perfect and the set menu was great value for such nice food.

The food was very good and the sent menu was good value. The building was very interesting, though in need of some love and care. Though it is nice not to hurried, the service was bit too relaxed.

Sadly I was unable to get to the restaurant for my booking before our theatre performance due to tube strike, however my companion did and she was treated extraordinarily well looked after fed well and wasn’t made to feel awkward at all. Well done
The service was impeccable and the food was very good. The round table we sat at in the front space was a little cold due to the air coming in when the front door opened but not too bad. Wine list had reasonably priced bottles and we have a lovely Cote de Rhone.
This has become our favourite place to eat, wonderful choice & high standard of food, great ambiance. A great alternative to all the more modern cuisine, good traditional French flavours. Highly recommend!
The service was very poor. Forgot the drinks order and did not receive a wine

The venison melted in the mouth, can recommend the grand marnier souffle weren't going to have a dessert but the waiter sold it to us so glad he did it was lovely.

Comme vous le savez la truffe a un goût très fort et particulier j’ai commandé un château brillant à la truffe … une grosse tranche de semblant de champignon habiller la viande sans aucun goût….le foie gras n’avez aucun goût j’ai même crus que j’avais le covid !!! La statue d’ange à coter de notre table étais un nid à poussière ainsi que le pot de fleurs qui dérange plus qu’autre chose ….
Enfin heureusement que j’étais en bonne compagnie ….

Real nice French interior. A very friendly welcome and good service. I started with,yes, Escargots in garlic butter. Very very tasty. My wife opted for the Lobster Salad. A real treat too. Our main was the Chateaubriand, for 2. Prepared ‘seignant’ served with onion and Potatoes Dauphinois. Everything was really prepared deliciously. We drank a Macon with this. Very nice.. the ambiance was fantastic, with live piano music. We will return.
All the food and drink was magnificent. Yes it’s pricey but you know that when you book. Perfect for an extra special occasion. We had the chateaubriand and it was perfect.
Excellent food and atmosphere. The menu of the day was great value. Table layout is very comfortable. The Bar was a bit pressured form time to time but it did not spoil the experience.
A fantastic lunch! We eat regularly at L’escargot Sur Mer so it was fabulous to visit the London restaurant, a favourite of my husband years ago. My starter of fricasse of snails was probably the most delicious dish I have ever tasted! Praise indeed. Thank you so much.
A perfect evening to celebrate our friends 60th. A wonderful restaurant in an old house in Greek Street. Easy to find. Tastefully decorated and cosy, so good for romance as well as socialising with family or friends. Unable to get a table until 9.30 so not terribly hungry as a tad too late. Opted for the lobster which was cooked to perfection. Served with a small salad so required extra sides (fries and more salad). All tasted beautiful. The pear tart to follow was also exquisite. Service faultless. The waitress knew all about the food and wine and answered lots of questions knowledgeable. The atmosphere was noisy but not loud so comfortable to talk to friends without having to shout. The pianist who played throughout our stay completed to a fabulous evening out. Would definitely be back.
The food was not great not bad about what was to be expected at this level of restaurant. The service was certainly not up to scratch. From the knife to cut my steak being blunt to not once pouring the wine we ordered to forgetting the bread which we ordered. The service was not rude but just a nice set of people not doing a good job.

Food was really good. The fillet steak was amazing but we got really disappointed by the cheese board selection: poor quality, badly presented with too much chutney and bread and too little cheese. I had better cheeseboard selections from airlines …

I had the 6 piece l’escargot which came with six shells but only 5 full of meat. The waitress apologised and offered a new plate for free but this time, the l’escargot was slimy. As someone who loves and knows how to prep and cook l’escargot well- I was disappointed. The l’escargot was slathered in a decent garlic, coriander butter sauce but I had the lobster as a main and it was ALSO slathered in the same sauce- boring. Pomme dauphinois was excellent- certainly recommend! My cocktail- the raspberry mojito was underwhelming and tasted like your most disliked childhood medicine. Great ambience though and waitress was sweet. Value for food? Not worth it

All our party of 5 (aged 27 to 59) had different meals and we all liked our choices. Sat on the ground floor, toward the back near the piano. Ambience was excellent with good spaces between the tables. Relaxed vibe. Staff were attentive and efficient. Top marks to them. Overall I have eaten nicer meals but this is certainly one of the best settings.
Excellent restaurant. We went for the Pre-theatre set menu, with a side of escargot. Each of the dishes presented were unique and delicious. The quality of the ingredients was palpable. The red and white wines we had for the table were delicious.
The one flaw was the double espresso, which was essentially a half americano in a cappuccino cup. Otherwise, I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant - just, don't ask about the Picasso.
This was a dinning experience which didnt let me down. Nuno was a perfect host and gentleman throughout. I couldnt get hold of one snail and he brought me 6 more. delicious chateubriand and wine. Dauphanoise to die for. I didnt even look at the bill at the end. whatever the price was...it was worth it! GO!
