Absolutely fantastic! If you are in Montreal, GO!! Food was great and the wine pairing was spot on. Wonderful dining experience, about 2 -2.5 hours long.
When you arrive, your table has your name on it. We had the 5 course tasting and wine pairing. Left supremely satisfied and full but not overstuffed. Highly recommend.
This little restaurant is a total GEM! It seems to float under the radar, which for me is a huge plus! They offer gastronomic fare, but in a laid-back, warm, welcoming fashion. No snobbery here - but absolutely extraordinary and sophisticated cuisine! This is definitely our favourite restaurant - not just in Montreal, but anywhere! On offer is a Tasting Menu; choose vegetarian or not, and then sit back enjoy the ambiance, a wonderful cocktail or excellent wine - and allow the Chef and his 'sous's' to delight you. While creative, the food is not 'pretentious' - but substantial, artfully presented, and every bite... sublime!
From the warm welcome and excellent service from the front of the house, to the last lingering taste of dessert, this is a restaurant you'll be longing to return to!
This was my first visit to Montreal, so I was very excited to experience a special local restaurant. The reviews on Open Table were spot on. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was excellent and my business partner and I had a great time. I don't eat French food very often, so this was a bit of an experiment for me. We loved everything. This was probably one of the best meals that I had in the past year.
We did the five course tasting menu and it was very satisfying. The food quality was excellent and the staff was very friendly. We were visiting from the US and don't speak any French, but that wasn't an issue whatsoever.
Overall I would highly recommend Ile Flottante, but know that the awning out front still saysLes Deux Singes.

The food, service, and price point were all absolutely spectacular. The quality of cooking was on par, if not surpassing, several Michelin rated restaurants that we have been to. The only disappointment was the pineapple jelly dessert. After four courses that were truly world-class, this dish was a let down. If they had nailed that course, the meal would have been perfect. You basically pay $60 for a meal that usually costs 2-3x more in New York for similar quality. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. Really amazing.

This is the first time I have given a 5 all star review. The food is just insane. The mushroom pasta is the 80 / 20 here. Friendly service and a very unusual price point. This place is def the best option in Montreal
Very nice, great food, enjoy time with my friend, I was there 3 time yet and if was fabulous, I ´m picki about the great food, this is better then the Toqué and less price. 😉

My wife and I were very excited to dine at Ike Flottante because of the great reviews. We weren’t sure if we should try the 3 course, 5 course, or seven course dinner. Thank’s to our waiter, we picked the 5 course. Their Amuse Bouch was almost like an addition course. So we had a hard time we finishing all of our courses. The dishes were very creative. But unfortunately a couple of them were very very salty. Btw the cocktails we started with were very well made and delicious. Overall, this was a nice experience and the value was very good. I am not sure if we will revisit this restaurant on our next trip to Montreal.

The menu is pre-set, and whether Vegetarian or not, there is an excellent pre-selected menu.
This allows the chef to put together an exquisite sequence of dishes. We had a 5 course + complimentary plate.
My girlfriend ends up taking pictures of each plate, as it's as much artictic as it is a culinary delight.
This creates a very unque experience, and for us, this is an extremely important part of dining out. The new layout at the restaurent, is very tasteful, and yet still retains the charm.

What a wonderful overall dining experience. Our meal was 5 courses and with the amuse bouche, plenty of food. The duck ravioli was out of the world, with beet starter and mushroom on brioche just behind. Attentive service and cozy environment made this the highlight meal of 2017.
My husband and I were in Montreal for one night on our way to Quebec for the holiday with family. We wanted a special night to ourselves with a great meal and Il Flottante delivered. The food was outstanding, the service was exceptional and it was a great atmosphere. If you enjoy taking your time with a lovely meal and good wine, this is the place to go. The dishes were presented beautifully and the flavors in each dish were excellent. I would definitely recommend skipping lunch and choosing the 5 course menu.
What can be said about Ile Flottante that hasn't. The care and thought that goes into every recipe explains why Sean is rated one of Montreal's top Chef. The amuse bouche centered around beets was delicious. The duck fois gras ravioli was the best we ever had, the squash sushi and veal were remarkable. And lets forget the desserts..WOW!
A group of 6 arrived at 6pm , just as the restaurant was opening, on a Thursday evening. Service was prompt. We could choose between 3, 5 or 7 course meal, but there was not an option for an al la cart menu.
All 6 of us tried the 5 course meal. Food was pretty good. The veal was tender and juicy but the sauce was disappointing. The duck ravioli could be perfect except it was too salty. Vegetarian dishes, surprisingly, stole the show - Dessert dish, mushroom dish, and beet dish were absolutely wonderful. 4/5. Next time I would opt for 3 course meal and stick with vegetarian options.

One of the best meals I have eaten in Montreal this year. From the outstanding Guillaume baguette with delicious creamy butter, to the best tartare(bison) I have eaten this year to teh Skate-for me and melt in your mouth gnocchi replete with lots of mushrooms-the sauces were superb in each meal and the service throughout was excellent. Deserts were also delicious-Ile Flottante and the other one...I forget. A definite 5 STAR rating.
My husbands brother and his girlfriend were in town so we opted for a special dinner one night and Ile Flottante delivered! Two of us chose the 3 course while the other two chose the 5 course option. I enjoyed the 3 course and found it was a sufficient amount of food. The duck confit raviolis were to die for. So delicious!
It was a very nice evening with family and great food at a decent price. Would highly recommend.

This was my third time at Ile Flottante, and first since the change from Les Duex Singes. The ambiance has changed a bit, but the food and service were as superb as ever. The restaurant has expanded, which naturally makes it a bit noisier and less cozy than before, but nothing to complain about. The menu now has three, five and seven course selections, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options for each, for $45, $65 and $85 dollars respectively. We had the five-course option in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. As usual, everything was uniquely prepared and excellent to the taste. Portions were sufficient to fill us up (remember, this is gourmet food and not a buffet folks). With a cocktail and a glass of wine, the cost was right around $200 including tax and tip. Not cheap, but also well worth every penny. This will remain my go-to restaurant for special dinners.

Even though the place was packed, the staff was kind enough to wait until I found a parking spot (which took over 30 mins!). The service was impeccable, with smile, care, and meticulous attention to every detail! But the food, no Food was the epicenter of the gustatory explosion! Unbelievable combinations, newest takes on good-old foods, the level of food creativity made me eat products that I am usually averse to. And I had no regrets that I gave those dishes a try, absolutely "coming-out" experience on eating squash, beets, and a number of ingredients I didn't even know the names of. Desserts took the dining experience to cloud nine. We try to only go to inventive and exquisite restaurants that focus on unusual and crafty combinations, and so far this one beats any other we went to! Thank you guys for making our anniversary magic!

Flawless service and astounding food! If you are a foodie you need to experience this restaurant! From the 1st to last course it was flawlessly timed and executed. The chefs cook in a glass kitchen with fresh ingredients at thier fingertips. Our veal main was to die for!
Their food was beautiful and unbelievably tasted even better than it looked. Service was awesome. If you are looking for a special dining experience, look no further. If I had the night to do over I would go for the vegetarian 3 or 5 course and order the Ile Flottante signature dish for final dessert. I always believe they offer wine pairing but do not remember seeing this on the menu.
My girlfriend and I went there for a fine dinner. We both knew the previous place and loved it (2 singes). Amazing. The food was even better, service still way above standards. It's an improvement. Just go and enjoy a real treat, really.
