Tout était bon ! Meilleur fish & chips à Montréal. J’ai aussi adoré la planche de viandes et de fromages, excellente et généreuse. Bravo 👏 on reviendra!
1er repas au resto de l’année 2020
Dinner was excellent, food was delicious!
Will definitely come again!
It was very nice restaurant with great service. We will be back when we visit Montreal next time.
Food is delicious, but there aren't many choices on the menu. They have an open kitchen, so it's cool to see the chefs preparing for your orders. People keep coming in during peak times. Overall it's a good restaurant!
Very accomodating even for groups with children ❤️🙏🏼
I founded this place to celebrate my birthday.
Great location and service:)
Food was awesome, though I am not used to eating raw foie gras.
Recommend to get-together with friends.
Great little place with awesome food. The duck was so succulent and tender. The best I've ever tasted till date.
The service was extremely friendly. We went on a Sunday evening and thought the food was ok, just not amazing. Could have been a bit fresher, even hotter. A bit of a touristy restaurant, honestly, but not at the high end of the scale. There are far better and more innovative French restaurants in Montreal for less money. It's fairly handy, though, and the staff was outstanding. Very reasonably priced wine, although I prefer the higher-end "Apportez votre vin" places that you can now find around the city.
Friendly waitress, nice staff. Great people watching view from our table looking out onto the street. Tried the frog legs app, had lamb, steak, and cod as main courses. Paired with a wonderful Pinot Noir. Everything was delicious.
Delicious!
Excellent dining and wonderful ambiance! Our group had an excellent time while visiting Montreal.
This was a great french restaurant- the French onion soup was very tasty! Definitely recommend if around
Wonderful discovery! Very frenchy ambience and great food at a good price. Only con: a little bit smokey as they have an open kitchen in basement. Would definitely going again.
Good place and food and wine
This place has that tourist trap feel. My expectations were higher. They ran out of foie gras, ran out of the wine we ordered--not sure if the 'suggested' wine was in the same ballpark as what we had.
Service was slow, food came out cold.
Service was slow. Food was very good. Wine was okay. Ambience was excellent.
Onion soup was excellent, almost a meal in itself. Wine selection pretty good. w/fair prices. Unfortunately the main dishes were not well prepared: meat was undercooked. After re-cooked it was served in a very small plate and still not hot enough. The cod was not fresh enough - or was unfrozen - being served with a very strong (unbearable) scent (they took it back since it was uneatable). The owner was kind enough to reduce the bill and not charge for some items. Maybe we were unlucky that day. The waiter justified our problems by saying they were full'; but aren't restaurants supposed to function well, up to their capacity? Service was great though, everyone servicing our table was sympathetic to the unsuccessful attempt to please us with good food, but I don't know if I'll give another try (was my 1st) since there are so many options in restaurant-heaven Montreal.
Friendly service, loved the decor. Shared cheese and meat board, great mains cooked to perfection and amazing brownie with salted caramel for dessert! Definitely will be back.
Nice yet comfortable atmosphere, great food, excellent service!
Casual restaurant with good french bistro food and very affordabke wine list. Will go again...
We, a party of 4, visitors to Montreal, were able to make a reservation on short notice.
The ambiance was pleasant, the service friendly and enthusiastic, the food of good quality, and the price moderate.
Excellent food! This place is a real French bistro. I had the lamb shank - the meat just fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. It was so good we are here twice in 4 nights in Montreal. I was always afraid to try French onion soup (soups with...onions??. I tried theirs, and wow...delicious!
Great food. We ate here twice in 4 nights in Montreal. Awesome lamb shank. Tasty duck confit. Delicious onion soup!
There was a thunderstorm, people from the patio had to move back inside so restaurant was crowded and noisy.
Loved it. Great food. Great location. Good French onion soup.
We were so glad to leave the crowds in downtown to enjoy Les Deux Gamins at an outside table. The duck entree was excellent and the goat cheese salad too. The Foie Gras was a bit dense for my liking. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
Waited two hours for table, forgot half the drinks - unfriendly
WOW. I made a reservation for this restaurant MONTHS in advance of a trip to Montreal. When I showed up the day of, the restaurant was closed. I noticed I had missed calls on my phone from an hour before. Shocking. These people knew about my reservation for MONTHS and didn't bother to tell me they were closed that day until one hour before my reservation. Pathetic.
Compte tenu des commentaires lus apparent je croyais manger un excellent repas ce qui ne fut pas le cas. La soupe à l'oignon est un désastre et le poisson qui nous fut servi ne sentait pas bon. Nous ne retournerons pas à cet endroit.
I had been there before, and I came back this time around as I knew the food was very good, especially the meat, we could eat outside and the weather was perfect for that. The staff is very friendly. We had a great meal to celebrate my son's graduation!
In short its a place I enjoyed enough to return, but without any dish I will crave or miss. Everything we ordered was decently good but not mind blowing. Good value for what it is. We got the tartare, foie gras and ribeye for 4 in med-rare which was a gorgeous dark pink - not really flavorful enough on its own but good with the herb butter spread and salt/pepper. Desserts are delicious.
I went online to find a reservation for a late dinner date on Friday night. There was a slot open for Les Deux Gamins. My girlfriend and I spent a half hour making our way to the restaurant to find out even though the reservation was accepted, the restaurant kitchen was already closed. The staff was friendly but I was disappointed they were listed as accepting reservations when in fact they weren't. We decided to go elsewhere that night and did not return during our weekend trip. Even though we did not enjoy a meal at Les Deux Gamins, I received a follow-up email saying I had been checked in, which never happened.
Oddly they were closed when we arrived. Every other time was perfect.
This is my favorite restaurant in Montreal. Great food, even better service.
Super souper, très bonne nourriture, bonne ambiance, un peu chère pour ce que c’est
Great experience, the food is excellent and it's a warm ambiance is cozy and not too big to relax. The french wine selection is interesting and our server did a perfect recommandation on wine that night. I recommend that place and would go again.
Great food and great service! Looking forward to visiting again soon.
It was fine. The menu is quite restricted. My son had the escargots and they were very bland and tasteless. Add some garlic!
Great food
I had the escargot and lamb. The food and service were great.
