Fantastic fairly new venture by the folks from next-door - Cholon. Great service and everyone's food was top notch. The duck was amazing. Do not miss out on the Wagyu Beef Tartare. By far the best tartare I have tasted in a very long time. Enjoy this place before it becomes too busy!
We had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed everything from the wine, appetizer, entrees and dessert! Thank you for making our night such a wonderful experience!
Your efficient, unobtrusive service as we relished each course was on point! The presentation of each dish showed imagination and skill and the delicious food was on par with any French restaurant. One couple in my party is from the U. K. and has traveled the globe extensively. They were impressed with the whole experience at LeRoux. Congratulations!!
Our food took a long time.
Our server seemed to be irritated with us sometimes.
The staff and service was excellent from the moment we walked in and throughout our dining experience. The food was delicious and the decor tasteful. The mushroom dish and octopus were amazing!
Pretty disappointing, actually. The whole experience was probably impacted by being seated in the one drafty table in the restaurant, with thoughtless patrons (and employees) holding the door open for minutes at a time. But the food was just OK (bouillabaisse mussels only so so and the crispy chicken was over prepared and poorly flavored). The service was OK but not special. The atmosphere is nice but the noise was too much, making it hard to hear the person across the table on a crowded Friday night. We had really looked forward to it, since it is such a beautiful space and others' reviews had been positive. Our conclusion: expensive, overrated, average food and average service. We probably won't come back. Denver has too many other great restaurants and there are s lot of other new ones to try.
Excellent French fare in beautiful setting. Best in Denver.
Our group of 6 had a graduation celebration lunch. Half the group ordered the burger, the other half ordered the croque madame. The burger was truly spectacular and so were the fries. Both were cooked to perfection. The croque madame, on the other hand is very different from the original French version. It came open-faced with congealed sauce, and an overcooked egg. The Bee-sting cocktail is well-worth ordering. Service was professional. At the end of the meal, our waitress brought a "complimentary" ice-cream dessert which then appeared as a $9.00 charge on our bill. I was too embarrassed to mention it and paid for it!!!
Overall, a so-so experience.
LeRoux is a new European style restaurant that opened up in Denver. I would say it would make a great experience for a date night. Nice ambience and food. Our waitress was amazing - very enthusiastic about the menu and making sure that we got everything taken care of. The only downside was the noise level was little high for a classy restaurant. It was only half full but there were random noises everywhere - banging sound from the bar? We had a 3 cheese plate and the foie gras to start - perfect for 2 of us girls to catch up. Unfortunately the scallops we ordered was a little too salty - but our waitress gave us 50% off the scallops and told the kitchen about it. So they’re definitely attentive to the customer’s comments unlike many other restaurants out there. I would go back again to try the rest of the menu!
Top 3 food experiences in Denver. Highly recommend.
Great service. Our waiter was fantastic, and the ambiance and food were amazing
Started with the Wagyu Beef Tartare, dish was wonderful and presentation was over the top. The Cauliflower Crème Brûlée is the most unique dish I have had in a long time, definitely worth trying. I had the Pan Roasted Half Duck for my main meal and my wife had French Onion Short Rib, both were fantastic, prepared perfectly. And finally we had Cherries Jubilee for dessert, was a really nice finish to a great evening.
Enjoyed our lunch here. Imaginative preparation and presentation for Wagu beef tartare and Cherries Jubilee. Our service was attentive and food was delicious
Just darn good French food!
Great for a special night, loved everything we tried.
Thé quality and creativity of the food offerings, from appetizers to desserts, is excellent. To celebrate a birthday, LeRoux is the place to go. The service was outstanding and LeRoux has next door free garage parking. What else are you looking for?
We were very impressed by the food and presentation. This is a great little gem on the 16th street mall. The oysters, steak tartare, scallops, mussels and lobster were all fantastic
Wonderful food and service! Table cloths might help the noise level-- it definitely got really hard to hear once the restaurant filled up. Beautiful space though.
Literally the best meal we’ve had in Denver, and Taylor, our server, was outstanding. Michael the hostess was also above and beyond. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We had a wonderful dinner, food was amazing, waitress was great! Atmosphere was really nice. It felt as though we were in a a little French restaurant!
We had a lovely dinner at LeRoux two days ago. The ambiance and decor were just beautiful. Service was excellent. Our waiter, Steven, was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the menu and also the wines. We loved the mushroom mille feuille and the cauliflower creme brulee. Then we shared the delicious scallop dish and the chicken roulade. We had cherries jubilee for dessert. It was all very memorable. It's very impressive to learn that Chef Lon spent 2 years planning out every aspect of this restaurant and each terrific dish. This attention to detail certainly shows.
Amazing experience. I’m a huge foodie and this is one of the best places I’ve eaten in Denver . Highly recommended!
Great atmosphere and service. Very accommodating for our dietary needs
My husband was basically sitting in the serving station which was super awkward. We asked our server to recommend a mocktail for our teen- he suggested lemonade. He also forgot her tea. He seemed very frazzled and put out. The food was ok- was expecting more.
My wife and l had a great dining experience at LeRoux! Loved the vibe, look and feel of the restaurant and to say the food exceeded our expectations is an understatement! We had the Wagu Beef Tartar, the Froie Gras pate, cauliflower creme brûlée, and the French Onion Short Rib. All were wonderful. Thanks Chef Lon and the rest of the team from front to back of the house! Everything was great!
We were blown away. Really good on all levels...food and service, especially.
Great food. Kitchen was backed up but Manager was very apologetic.
Awesome restaurant and it is so pretty inside. We had a very knowledgeable waiter-helped us pick out a French wine and did a nice job explaining the menu and giving us recommendations. The cheese plate was a hit. I don’t think there is one menu item you can go wrong with. Everything looked spectacular coming out of the kitchen.
Wonderful atmosphere! Great food, great service!
Disappointed in our lunch here. We love ChoLon and we were really looking forward to this but it did not meet expectations. The cheese board was good but tiny portion and very little bread (like 2 slices) when we requested more it took almost ten minutes and they charged 2 dollars for two more pieces of bread which seemed cheap.
Mussels were tasty but heavy on potatoes and light on other seafood. For 18 dollars not a great value. My husband’s Croque was very good. But this place is not particularly special and we will not be back.
Outstanding. Been there twice now. Great atmosphere and yummy food. Perfect for date night!
From the moment we arrived at Le Roux we were treated as honored guests. The food was quite remarkable: innovative combinations of tastes, all beautifully presented. Steven, our server, was knowledgeable and attentive and it appeared as if there was always someone nearby to fill a glass, take away an empty plate or check to see if we needed anything else. I hesitate to lavish too much praise for fear that we won't be able to get a reservation the next time we want to dine there.
This restaurant is very new but our dinner took almost three hours and it was not full. Very slow and I was disappointed with my meal. Had the bioullabase and it was 99% mussels and a small amount of some unknown fish.
Had a date night here and it was awful. We had bad service all around; we were seated in the bar area even though we had a reservation, and were told there were no available tables when we could see that there were, and our server seemed inexperienced or uninterested in serving. The recommended wines were boring and poorly paired with the food, our appetizers (and later the desserts) came out separately, but things really got bad when my duck came out well-done (if I had been asked how I wanted it I would have said medium, but medium rare is standard for duck). We waited for 20 minutes (while my husband’s entree got cold), and it came out well-done again. Our server tried to argue that I didn’t know what I was seeing or tasting (this was the third time I had duck this month btw) and the manager apologized but had to be convinced to comp the entrees.
As for our other dishes, the chicken liver mousse and beet salad were nice (but no different than every other restaurant), the cauliflower creme brûlée was not brûléed at all and was overpowered by nutmeg, the short rib was great, and the crepes were inedible, the texture was completely wrong (they spread with a fork like a paste) and the alcohol was not cooked off (I wish they had been taken off the bill like the manager promised).
If you are looking for similar food in this area, I recommend going to Avelina (I had the duck there 2 weeks ago and it was great).
LeRoux was AMAZING! All four of us greatly enjoyed the menu selections, Steven, our server was fantastic, and the ambiance was splendid. We highly recommend LeRoux and will be back soon. Steven was very engaging and his knowledge of the menu paired well with his wine suggestions.
Delicious! Highly recommend the short rib and grilled oysters.
Entrees were very good, however the 2 desserts we ordered were disappointing. While they were very elegant looking, their tastes were bland.
What a hidden gem in LoDo! We felt like we were on vacation. Highly recommend.
The food was delicious and beautifully plated. My one quibble was that I requested bread and was charged $4 for two small baskets. Given the price of the food, this was annoying. The service is leisurely. We went on an unbusy Sunday night and dinner took more than two hours.
