We warmly welcome you to Leonessa- an Italian-Inspired Kitchen & Bar on beautiful Route 6A in Yarmouth Port. Husband & Wife team, Chef Owner Diego Mota and Owner & General Manager Taylor Amara bring exceptional scratch made regional Italian cuisine and impeccable service to this iconic neighborhood. Combining the best of food and beverage of Italy along with the influences of its bordering neighbors coalesces into a dynamic, modern and elevated culinary experience. Chef Diego and Taylor's dream to pour their true love and passion for food, beverages, and hospitality is realized with every service. Reservations are for tables in each our four unique dining rooms while the Bar welcomes guests on a first come first serve basis. Please note that we do our level best to accommodate seating/area requests but they are not guaranteed. We also kindly ask that parties arrive together so that everyone can enjoy their time with us. This is our 2nd year visiting Leonessa. It is one of my favorite places on the cape. The food and service are exceptional! I absolutely love their menu! This visit, we were sitting in the side room to the right of the host and I didn’t like this room at all. It was bright and loud and lacked a nice upscale restaurant feel. I wouldn’t recommend sitting in that area unless you are in a larger group or with young families. We are a bit older and it was tough to engage in conversation in that space.

Excellent experience at Leonessa! From the first sip of the cocktails (gin martinis and cosmos), every item was perfect. The appetizers (tuna tartare and oysters), meals (gemli ragu, panko haddock, chicken under a brick and veal milanese) and dessert (gelato, blueberry cheese cake and a wonderful nutella creation) were amazing. The service was wonderful. We ordered a meal to go and it was ready when we were leaving. Thanks to the staff for an incredible evening!

Our food was wonderful. The pork chop was thick and juicy, the sole was perfectly done, and the salads were well seasoned. Our server, Severena was attentive and helpful.

Really everything was perfect. Exceptional server and the food was excellent. My one draw back is the background sound. One would think small rooms would not generate so much noise but they do! I also had a quest who struggles with his hearing and he was severely limited with last night’s table conversation. Next time I will ask for quietest area. Maybe upstairs??

The bartender was great and very chatty which we liked. Our dinner server, Vladi, was outstanding! One thing that we appreciated was that Vladi told us there was only one serving of the nights special left in the event we wanted it. How many times are you set on the special and then it is gone or the last one was served? I feel it is for the benefit of the customer to tell them when there are no more specials left as soon as you reach the table or if something on the printed menu is no longer available, Although we opted for other entrees other than the special we weren’t disappointed. I had the pasta with the bolognese sauce which was the best I’ve ever had and my husband and I have lived in Chicago for many years and now live out west and I’ve never had such a good sauce. My husband also had a pasta dish which he enjoyed. Will definitely come back when we are visiting the Cape again.

The food is absolutely amazing! The meals are quite expensive, which often deters us from a date night at Leonessa, but they are delicious: )

The food is always fabulous. Our server was exceptional, knowledgeable, and provided us with wonderful wine suggestions. Can’t wait to return, again!
