Had the steak and lobster pasta and they were both very very good. Server was so good we gave a very high tip! We love it here!
Food was phenomenal! We had mussel appetizer which was delicious! Two kids had the lobster fettuccine, I had the salmon piccata. All was perfectly cooked and fresh! Tiramisu and gelato finished off the meal. A bit pricey for Italian food, but it isn’t your average Italian food either, so there’s that! Craig was our server and he was excellent! Thanks for a great evening!
It took 20 minutes for the waiter to get to our table. Bar service was slow. The Calamari was simply that. The sauce was delicious but not much of it. The table side Caesar Salad was very good. The entree was slow coming out. The Lobster Fettuccine was lackluster with a small undercooked lobster tail. The dessert was decent. The bill was forever getting to the table and frankly I just wanted the night to end. First and last time.
The ambiance was nice for our rare date night, and the service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food was... fine. Nothing terribly wrong with it, but nothing to write home about either. Next time we'll just stay home and make it ourselves.
Service was great, food was delicious. It can be a little loud, but the ambiance is still good. Very convenient for a meal before the theater.
Made a reservation for before the show at Chrysler Center. Food was good and prompt. Enjoyed the meal.
We've been there quite a few times. It never disappoints
We really love this place. The food is consistently outstanding, the service is great and ambience is just what it needs to be. Thanks Leone’s for all that you do.
Birthday dinner for my son
Spaghetti and meatballs ... amazing! As was the wild boar rigatoni!
Very good food and service. Great choice before our musical at Chrysler. We will be coming back!
Our food was delicious, service was great, couldn't ask for better
Ordered Lobster Fettucini, no one said it was spicy, the lobster was over cooked and still in the shell for us to take it out,,,not nice...could not eat it at all, had Charles the waiter remove it from the table. he said a manager would come over with apologies, no one came. that was not nice either. what was good was the Tiramisu dessert, so good, and the check came without either entrée on it..so it got a bit better at the end of the evening. the noise there is off the chart....so not a place for date night,,,,cannot hear yourself think.
Maybe one of the best meals I have had in a long time . The lobster fettuccine was outstanding!
The waitress we had needs to learn the menu. That is the only complaint we had .
Amazing! First time, but it will not be our last! What a gem!
Food was good but not great. Place was nice and service was good.
The pasta dishes were excellent. I ordered the New York Strip medium rare, but it came to me rare and was extremely chewy. I ate only half of the steak and almost every bite had gristle that I could not swallow. My wife's salmon dish was excellent and our friends pasta were also great. Don't order the steak!
My boyfriend and I went here Monday evening for our anniversary dinner. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was relaxing (we sat on the rooftop) and our server was kind and went the extra mile to make our night special. I'm definitely coming back here and excited to try more of the food!
It’s a great spot for a date or business meeting . Good food , very classy , I like it .
Excellent food and service!
Very slow service very loud despite not particularly full on a Friday night
Food was good
Leone's is a neighborhood gem. We easily walked from our B&B. Food was delicious. Adequate portions - just right. Seafood fresh and cooked well. Next time we're nearby, we'll be back. Server very accommodating and genuine.
Unfortunately the night we were there there was a large table with several very young noisy children which contributed to the overall noise. Even though, we had a great time and food was good and plentiful. Staff was accommodating and friendly!
Our waitress, whose name slips my mind, was in bad need of training of how to be a server at an upscale establishment. She continually got things wrong, took too long to ask about water refills, and generally was not on top of her game in dealing with us. Her lackadaisical attitude and lack of attention to detail but a damper on an otherwise stellar occasion. Our friends who had never eaten there before were irritated by her, and my wife and I didn’t think she belonged at Leone’s. On the upside, the food and ambiance were outstanding, as usual.
Service was slow which would have been fine given the beautiful rooftop. Unfortunately, my $28 filet was a really poor cut of meat and I barely ate it.
We ate an early dinner (7pm) and were able to get an outdoor/rooftop table. It was really nice up there. The table was too tall for the chairs. We sat really low in relation to the table.
The street noise wasn't bad at all.
The food was served timely and with good sized portions. There was too much seasoning for my taste. Too much garlic, heavy and strong onion in the bruschetta. Service was average. Was unfamiliar with the bar menu... Knew the wines okay.
Overall, it was a nice meal $110 for two wines, an app and three entrees.
Probably won't go back.
Everything was wonderful and everyone was so accommodating! The manager and hostess, especially, ensured that our special occasion was just that - very special! We had a perfect meal and a lovely evening!
We ate at Leone’s a couple of years ago and had a great time. We decided we wanted wanted to have a nice, rare date night at a restaurant where we had great memories from.
I had made the reservation and requested a rooftop table. When we checked in, we were lead to an inside table downstairs. There was no mention of my request. I asked for the rooftop table but was told it was full. Which was completely fine, it was only a request. The hostess then offered my husband and I a seat on the back patio to have a cocktail and appetizer while we waited for a table to open up. About 10 minutes went by with no service. The hostess asked us if we had a drink order taken, we replied no so she got us some water and bread. I guess they don’t serve napkins or knives when delivering the bread and butter.
Still, no waitress. Twice a server came up to see if we had been helped but told they would try to find out who was taking care of us. Finally after about 10 more minutes a server came to take our drink order. And then 2 minutes after that, we did get our rooftop table. My husband found his pasta dish to be over salted. I thought my salmon was just okay.
Overall, it’s a cool spot. Great outdoor ambiance. But if you are sitting inside, take a sweater! I don’t think we’ll be back. $100 for less than average service and food is unfortunate.
Was expecting a lot. Interior great. Puttanesca just ok. The calamata olives overwhelmed the dish. Boar ragu with paperdelle was tasty, not laden with sauce and lots of meat. Lamp chops cooked to perfection medium rare. Server forgot to bring steak knife though; took a while to get one. Loster fettucine excellent: lobster was sweet
I just wished the fried gnocchi was better. Everything else was delicious!
First time, highly recommend to anyone.
Date night with my husband. We sat on the rooftop - it was a great evening. Indecisive about the menu, the waitress steered us toward our choices and made great recommendations. The burrata was delicious.
The lobster pasta was good. The pesto gnocchi was AMAZING. Tiramisu for dessert. It was a great night all around.
The Restaurant has been wonderfully renovated. Check out the roof top area! The Maitre D' could not have been nicer. Food was excellent1
The food was outstanding.
Great atmosphere for drinks with friends.
Good food although not innovative
Very comfortable booth seating and beautiful restaurant. Very good pasta and the meatballs were delicious! They tasted like my Italian grandmothers. Will be back for sure!
One of the best restaurants in the Tidewater area. The food is always outstanding. We will be back with friends and family.
Excellent atmosphere, superb food, and great service
the seafood pasta i order was not good at all, not fresh seafood and it was in the sauce that the seafood was boiled in, for a $26.00 dish i was very disapointed!!
