The four was all amazing! We had beef carpaccio, chicken Parmesan, fettuccine bolgnase and a lobster ravioli. Shawn our server provided the best service I think I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Well, first of all, the Leonardo of Leonardo's Ristorante is always there! And he works the room. The food is outstanding. Don't get too attached to the menu because there are "specials" and most of the time we go with one of them and are never disappointed. It's a nice place for special occasions.

Food was great and service personnel were very friendly. However, it appeared there was not enough staff to handle the full house of tables. That resulted in slow service at times as they were bouncing between tables, sometimes forgetting about requests for additional drinks or other items.

The food was delicious and the servers were knowledgeable and friendly. A reservation is strongly advised as this is a relatively small restaurant. The back patio seating was really nice even on a cool evening.

We were not able to have dinner until late evening and concerned that restaurants in the area would be closing down. We arrived at 7:45pm and the place was bustling. Even so we got fantastic service! Our water glasses were never empty and everyone was welcoming. The meatballs and calamari for appetizers were amazing. We ordered lasagna for dinner as the waiter said it was the best he ever tasted. We agree now. We will be coming back as soon as we can.

We often dine at Leonardo's when we are in Solvang and Santa Ynez. He always greets us when he sees us. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious, as are the desserts. We highly recommend Leonardo's!

We were seated immediately, the server introduced himself, offered drinks and when he returned with them he explained the specials. We all tried something different and everyone was very pleased with their selection. The sauce on the lobster ravioli was outstanding! We did split dessert, a delicious tiramisu. All in all a great experience and we will return!

A bit of a hidden gem (but probably not so hidden any more) from the standpoint it’s in a strip mall (of sorts). Food, service and atmosphere all A plus. Great little bar too if you’re traveling solo and want to eat at the bar.

Excellent food. Pleasant hostess and cordial waiter. Had reservations and we were seated at the exact time of the reservation. I noted on the reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, but were only wished a verbal congratulations when we checked in, so nothing else was made of that. I guess we thought they'd at least give us a small dessert, but we were charged for our dessert. Not sure why they bothered to ask. Drunk girl at the bar should have been asked to leave because she was becoming obnoxious, but that was the only negative.

As our party of four approached the restaurant which is located in a “small mall”, we wondered about our choice- it turns out we all enjoyed our meal of Caesar salads, pasta and a Viognier. We finished with gelato and tiramisu. At first the noise level was very loud, but it died down over time. There is a $6.00 charge for split orders so each couple shared a plentiful Caesar. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, but I’d try other restaurants in the area before returning to Leonardo’s.

We were a little disappointed in the service at our table and found the food to be fine, but nothing special. We started with a cocktail at the bar since our table wasn’t ready. The bartender was busy, being the only one working, but he was still polite and prompt. We had the cucumber martini, which we would definitely recommend. We were seated about 15 minutes after our reservation, but they were busy so we were understanding. After being seated it took the waiter another 10-15 minutes to even acknowledge us. When he did approach the table he seemed eager to get to taking our order. No going over the specials, no water, no bread… straight to the order. I asked about the fish of the day and he very briefly explained the dish. This all seemed to be lacking in service. The hostess noticed that our water glasses had not been filled, so she got us water. Honestly she seemed like the hardest working person in the place (props to her, sorry I didn’t catch her name to give her credit) When we noticed the other tables had bread, we had to flag down a food runner to get some, which was made to seem like a bit of an imposition. We ordered the caprese salad to share, the fish special (branzino), and the penne pescatore. The salad arrived split for us, which at first we considered to be a nice touch, until we got the bill and saw the $5 split plate charge which was not disclosed when ordering. This ruffled our feathers on principal. It’s not a massive charge, but it’s tacky. Honestly we’re adults, we’re able to share a plate. Our main courses were fine. Nothing memorable. The restaurant seems to have a strong local following. Perhaps we just caught them on an off night.

Great dining experience. You can tell this is a go to staple for locals in the area that live in a tourist destination. Sean is a great server who is very knowledgeable and loves his job. The halibut main course and calimari / shrimp appetizer were amazing. Great wine selection.
