Service was lacking. Slow in front and from the back. Waited and watched all fellow dinners eat and in some cases leave.

Asked for a check on our lunch and our waiter went to another table to take another order. Take some selfies and then off to the bar.

Food was alright, but certainly not fantastic or amazing which is what the price tag would have suggested. There are several better food outlets very close by that are much more spectacular. This was okay.

I don't know who designed the restaurant. They did a fantastic job up front and then the the back of the restaurant as an after thought. It was like dining in the hallway between the kitchen and the washroom. Hardly spectacular and lacking any innovation or design. Felt like second class customers in a top restaurant. Sad space. Expand the kitchen instead.

Drinks is all I will ever come back for. Not worth the effort, even if the service had been spot on.

We had a fantastic evening. Dinner was outstanding- the raw menu was to die for - Sea bream, seared tuna and ceviche were favourites- and the straciatella?! Amazing. Special thanks to Andrew Phu in the kitchen for checking up on us and ensuring we had a great time. Will definitely be back and will recommend to everyone!

Lena was recommended by another couple and to be fair they warned us the music was loud and frankly not very good. They did indicate the food was good so that is why we went.

We found the service abysmal - the food merely adequate and definitely not worth the price.

Our server, who was pathetic, became very apologetic and friendly upon presenting us our bill which was the final nail in the coffin.

We just wanted a fruit cup which wasn't on the menu but one was brought with a side of toast. Lovely service. Thank you. It was so nice to be in a restaurant that was welcoming and had a kind atmosphere. The staff were lovely humans.

The room is Deco and beautiful and was the best thing about the night. Unfortunately, the service was quite erratic. No check backs on the main dishes and sometime a long wait for attention and then, suddenly, everything going smoothly again. The food was also uneven. Squid ink pasta was spicy and exciting, the salads were fresh and interesting. The chicken, and especially the shrimp, were ordinary. The wine selection is interesting but a bit overpriced. The bill for 3 of us with wine was $400 which was too much for the level of experience we had.

Delectable experience! Love the decor and ambiance. Does not feel like downtown Toronto. Our server was exceptional - knowledgeable about everything on the menu, helpful in advising options and super friendly! The food was superb with a diverse menu to suit all needs. Lots of shareable plates, but also larger, main items. We loved everything we ate and enjoyed a tasty bottle of wine recommended by our server. Will definitely return to Lena and we are highly recommending it!

I love the decor and the bathroom was wonderful.
The music is much too loud for conversation. We would have liked the music to be lower so we could talk. When you have to lean over your food to shout at one another, it ruins the enjoyment of the meal.

Beautiful spot but the food was under seasoned. The cod fritters I would suggest to give a pass as they were very overdone and that was an item that was over seasoned.

I thought the food was great. I loved the eggs B they were fantastic. My only negative is that the tip percentage suggests 20% and won't let you tip under 15%. I find that extremely rude. I don't appreciate being made to feel cheap tipping 15% instead of 20% on the full bill including the taxes, without an option to put in a different dollar amount.

Once the server knew we were there for a business meal, he kept up selling everything. I know that is their job to some extent, but whenever we gave him two choices on what to eat, he chose the more expensive one every time. It could be a coincidence, but he then told us the crochet's come in a plate of 4. It came as 3. I asked where the 4th one was and he brought it and said the kitchen forgot. LIttle did i know, he charged me $4 more for the extra one. Why not just say it comes in 3 and he can add one?! That blew my mind. All he replied with was yup, it was extra. My client also was deciding on what to drink, she already had a glass of wine and was questioning what to drink next. The server was like don't worry, i know what you would love. The small drink was $24. Who suggests drinks that are $24 when the previous drink was for $9.

I hate telling servers now if it's a business meal because of this fact. It's so sad that some people will do this.

We were a group of nine and dined upstairs by the kitchen. The decor is beautiful, the service was great, however I found the food to be just a bit disappointing. The bread they supplied the table with was delicious I admit, as were the croquetas, other starters failed to wow. People who ordered the big meat dish (lamb asado, strip loin, sausage) enjoyed it and the tagliolini dish was a hit. My shrimp a la plancha were a little soft - I don't know if they were maybe marinated prior to cooking - served split on the shell.

I will likely go again and try some other tapas if I have the chance, I'd like to give it another try.

The decor is beautiful and our Server was exceptional. I just don't see the value for the food or wine. I had the Pollo Doña Aurora and a glass of 2017 malbec, callia, san juan, argentina. The chicken was less flavourful than I expected but the wine was delicious. Those 2 things cost $60+ including the tip. I understand it's in a Tourist area however; I wanted to be impressed with my meal, especially at that cost, and I wasn't at all. If you're going, head downstairs and have a few drinks in Bar Lala. Of you do want to sit in the restaurant, maybe choose something from the Small Plates menu but I wouldn't recommend eating a meal at Leña.

Lena is another well-managed O & B establishment. The three floors each house a different room, all beautifully designed, and all offer a slightly different experience and atmosphere. The main floor street level bar is energetic and, at times, boisterous but lively and fun. The downstairs Art Deco lounge is quieter and relaxed. The upstairs dining room is largely windowless, more formal the other rooms and a bit on the staid side. The food is adventurous, delicious and easily shared if desired. The service is top-notch. Highly recommended.

Return visit. First was not so good...sat on second floor,(boring and no atmosphere). This time we sat on main floor aling window. Great vibe, food was good,(although my Hake got lost in the black bean flavour).

Our server was awesome! He was very good at explaining the menu and recommending items we liked. The quail legs were very good. My son had the rabbit he was hesitant at first but the server convinced him at how wonderful the dish was and he is an adventurous child so he went for it and ate every bite. Chicken dish was probably the most normal type of dinner if you are not very adventurous I have the steak, the flavor was wonderful but I do not like cutting around a lot of fat and unfortunately there was a lot of that. I did taste the rabbit and the concoction it is plated on was phenomenal

The tables were very small as well as the chairs! If you are narrow in the hips, 32” or smaller you’ll fit ok but it was a strange claustrophobic feeling in those lower level chairs. I am not a plus size person by any means but I am 5 foot 10 and 170 pounds this chair was just awkward.

I was not a fan of the loud environment. When dining at a nicer restaurant I do prefer a more quiet atmosphere. It was not people talking it was music playing in the restaurant. Overall maybe for a younger crowd I bet it would be a great place to hang out with friends!

We went here for a special birthday dinner and were very well taken care of. The food and wine were wonderful and our server was knowledgeable and friendly but not annoying!! The space is beautiful and intimate. My only complaint would be that it felt like the tables were a little close together. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we'll be going back.

Although the food was great and we all enjoyed it, my team and our special guest were expecting to be placed in a more quieter room. We were placed by the bar where there was so much traffic, and the music was very loud! We could barely hear each other speaking.
We were disappointed, especially that I specifically booked this dinner as a "business meal", so in any business meal in need to hear and be able to speak with your business partners without raising voices.

Came here for lunch for my friend’s birthday. Food and drinks are very overpriced- you’re paying for the location and ambiance as this place is aesthetically pleasing. However, food was nothing special and there was not much flavour in my dish (the broken avocado salad) which ended up costing $26 with chicken- a little pricey for what you actually get. The servers could have been more attentive as I had to ask for a variety of things such as a proper knife (they gave me a butter knife by accident which was so dull it couldn’t cut through a piece of chicken) and salt and pepper which was not offered either on the table or by the servers. There are far better places in the area I would go to before this one.

We were visiting from out of town, arrived early, and had lunch at Leña. The deco decor and overall ambiance of the place is great. We really enjoyed the brisket burger and an order of their churros. The best part by far was Elizabeth. I think she may have been the manager, but she helped take care of us. She was incredibly friendly and helpful as we shared how we were going to be spending our time in the city.

I have dined here many times and have always enjoyed the venue, service and food. The service was great and the started were good. The mains my guest and I had (which came highly recommended by our waiter) were sub-par in terms of flavour and presentation.Hope this is a one off incident.
