King Street Subway Stations, walk North along Yonge Street
Expensive and mediocre. There was a reason reservations were open on a Friday night. The appetizers are small and not particularly flavourful, the mains were unappetizing and one note.
This was my third visit and it did not disappoint. Had friends cisiting from the US and they all loved it. The decor is gorgeous and the service is great. A lovely dinner.
Amazing experience! Must order the Veal!!!!
The main space was too noisy to catch up with an old friend who was in town for 1 night so we moved to the smaller, beautiful dining room. Ordered a drink - took 20 mins to get and had to ask where it was. Had to ask another waiter to take our dinner order. The first 2 items were outstanding! The third a pasta was good. But the chicken was terrible. There were eggs in the dish, not in the description, and the texture was like rubber and the entire dish had a very odd flavour. Was too expensive for what it was worth and the last dish and the first waiter really just made it unfortunate. There are better options in the city.
First time at the restaurant. The Art Deco decor was spectacular!
Our server was slow. Everything else was perfect
Brunch was tasty, atmosphere was great and service was excellent. Can’t ask for more.
Having been here before we were sadly underwhelmed by the service, menu, atmosphere & food. Our waiter was quite nice. It seemed the holiday Monday staff & menu was an afterthought. Hate to write a bad review as the place is beautiful but Lena was a great experience the first time I went. This seemed like a completely different place.
The food was good but I wish the octopus appetizer was warm and the bread should be included for dinner as the pricing and restaurant Level permits for such request.
We ordered the scallop ceviche, quail eggs, charred beef tartare, and capunti pasta - all were delicious, particularly the pasta! Service was also friendly and quick. Would definitely recommend Lena!
Somewhat noisy and tables quite close together
Hard to talk if business lunch
Food and service was great. Very noisy and the tables are very close together.
The space is beautiful. The food is only good by comparison. I'd say the restaurant was 75% full while we were on second half of our meal, and yet they rushed out the main courses before we were done with our appetizers and they did the same thing to the people dining beside us. Why? They have the lightest churros in the city, yet bites were seeped in oil.
Lena's food was great, it's delicious and innovative. But the music was way too loud, can't even hear what my friends were saying, literally need to yell to each other.
I had heard very good things about Lena, so perhaps this was an off night for them. They brought 2 of 3 of the dishes initially ordered then took forever and 2 requests to bring the 3rd. Beef tartAr was utterly flavourless- could have passed for oatmeal it was so bland. My pasta came in a small pot, heated to a temperature where it was too hot to eat and where it had become just a paste-like mush, also flavourless. My sons steak was one if the worst cuts of meat I’ve seen: fatty, sinewy, and unappetizing. The burnt cheesecake simply tasted like someone had done something wrong: it was recognizable as cheesecake, but the taste was just not right: the chocolate sauce with the churros was clearly burnt and the churros tasted better without it. Four people, with one martini and one beer, $400. Let me not forget that the hard surfaces in the restaurant made it so loud - even though half empty, that we had to raise our voices to speak to each other. It was quieter outside on Yonge street. I’ve heard good things from others but I won’t be back.
Love the food. Hate the noise. And we always get the table wedged in by the front door. Oh well. . .
Great location, fun atmosphere -- excellent place for a long lunch with good friends!
The shrimp plate I asked for was really small. Mi wife's Salmon was much better. A lottle price. I was expecting more spanish food options.
Great service as usual.
One of our favourite places.
Disabled well taken care of.
Mark is great!
Great Bar area. Hostess was super friendly and organized. I greatly appreciated being on the main floor where guests could be taken to my table easily. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food immensely. My salad was refreshing and delicious. As it was quite small, my only issue would have been that I would have appreciated the server suggesting adding a protein to it in order to make it a meal. Overall great spot and atmosphere.
Venue was nice, food and service could have been a better standard.
As always, the food was exceptional. And our server , Joseph, was amazing. Lena never disappoints. Thanks for a great evening!
Business meeting should be separated to quitter table areas but it was a great seat by the window.
The service is superb and exactly what one would expect from an O&B establishment. The food was amazing and full of flavour. We started with their cocktails- a gin with egg whites- who would have guessed so good to get the palate ready. Then came the fish fritters to the soup, the quail eggs to the veal- each plate created a layer of flavour that was wonderful. Don’t pass on dessert - order the cheese plate or the cake or all of it. The portions were spot on and gave you enough to taste and share. This will be a place that we can easily visit again.
The service was excellent and the food good, though we expected Argentine-style food to be a little spicier. The only real problem was with the noise level: too many hard surfaces and music just a touch too loud. Other than that, very good.
Birthday dinner-Great service and good value for the food. The flavours were great!
Menu is as expected from the O&B chain. Very unique and high quality. Decor is well planned and appointed, worth a walk through the various rooms. The main floor area is great for viewing the historic streetscape and people watching from this old corner storefront. Located on all public transport and on street parking can be found in the area.
food and service were very good! all 3 meals and desserts were enjoyed by my guests. Ambiance is wonderful and vibrant, but don't expect to have a quiet conversation. Lena is now on my list of "go to" restaurants!
Great food, great service. Good for a lunch date/business meeting.
A great restaurant overall. It bills itself as South American. Not sure this is really reflected in the menu which seems more Italian but the quality of the food was excellent. As an added bonus the prices were good and the ambiance wonderful. Great service too.
Food and service were very good. Highly enjoyed the appetizers that we shared.
Great vibe, good food, decent wine, terrible/ aloof waitress
Went for Summerlicious lunch, the place was great!
Took my mom at Leña summerlicious 2018. We made a great choice. I love how light the arugula salad and she enjoyed the grilled corn minestrone as well. Main course dish were delicious (smoky chicken and home made penne). I just find the dessert ok. Nothing special - warm donuts isn't soft and warm. Staff were friendly - food was served timely except for the dessert. But enjoyed the dining overall.
Loved the summerlicious menu. Great selection on the regular menu. Food tasted amazing. Would definitely come back again.
Great service, incredible food and perfect atmosphere in the heart of Toronto
Great food. Summerlicious occasion. First time try.
We visited on a Saturday for their 2018 Summerlicious dinner and overall enjoyed our experience.
We enjoyed the appetizers and our mains; in particular the ceviche appetizer was wonderfully fresh and well prepared. For dessert we had the donuts and the almond pineapple cake. The donuts were too cake-y in our opinion though the almond pineapple cake was good!
Service was good, my only gripe was that we were seated in the back room though I asked for the front seating area. The front of the house advised that it was a lounge area though after we finished our dinner we saw lots of people eating in the lounge area. Nonetheless, the restaurant is one of the most aesthetically pleasing ones that I've been to in Toronto with good service. The waiters are friendly and our water glasses were always full.
I would recommend for a date night though this is not a place that I'm rushing to return to which is generally how I rate 4-star restaurants.
Great service and falvours
This restaurant has great decor with an enjoyable atmosphere. The food and drinks are great, with a nice Spanish influence.
