    Absolute worst service. Had reservations for 4ppl and after 2 hours of waiting at the table we received our appetizers. Our waitress was clueless on what was happening and we witnessed a table of 12 be seated, apps, entrees and finishing dessert - and we were still waiting for our apps (which one was bread and dip, does not take two hours to cut a loaf) The place is gorgeous and the employees behind the bar were great, however they dinning room service was so low. Extremely disappointed.

    I love Lena and I was so pleased to see it survived the shutdowns. My only complaint would be, for whatever reason, my sister in law and I were sitter at the table closest to the kitchen. We had a reso and passed SEVERAL empty tables and yet we’re seated at the absolute worse table. While the food was lovely and the service was great, this absolutely terrible sitting for no evident reason would make me hesitate booking again.

    Last night we went here for my daughter’s birthday. We were very happy with our experience. When the appetizer arrived late, the manager was very apologetic and said it was on the house. We ordered the piri piri octupus, veal, and monkfish, and they were all delicious. The birthday dessert plate, which came with the churros and cheesecake, had an amazing presentation.

    Stopped in for the first time for lunch! Our server was a delight- plus very knowledgeable about their menu &amp; had plenty of recommendations for us to try. Lena’s cocktails are on point &amp; will definitely visit again for dinner next time we’re back in Toronto.

    If you want people to write a review, stop making them waste their time by writing this. I deducted points just for this review being cumbersome. The lunch menu was not impressive and the seating was uncomfortable

    We had a dozen oysters, bread basket and yucca fries to start. While yucca fries and bread was really good, the oysters were really small and had not been shucked to our liking. Our cocktails though were fantastic, I have been here before and tried some other drinks and noticed they were always just great both in presentation and flavours available. For our entrees, I had the Beef Rib, we also ordered the Chicken and Trout mains. We all enjoyed the food. For dessert, we ordered the pineapple...this was quite a huge let down. We were under the assumption the dessert was going to be more that what it was. Pineapple cut into large cubes (supposed to have mint and rum?) We could not tell. I have ordered a cheesecake in the past which was really good. I would go back, but would ask a few more questions before ordering dessert!

    Our service wasn’t great but we found out it was our waiter’s first day, so we gave him a pass. The menu was small enough to show that everything was specialized and home made. The bread, at $9 for four thick slices, was delicious despite being expensive. The oysters were just okay; they weren’t very ‘meaty’ and a few were so thin, they fell apart when trying to disengage them from the shell. We all ordered the veal for our mains. A large veal cutlet was topped with a poached duck egg and anchovies. It was an interesting combination and quite delicious if your tastes run in that direction. The decor is beautiful and there are lots of windows. Our second visit there, and we will return.

    Overall, the service and attention to detail was exceptional. From the server to the gentleman that brought the food to the table (he was great). To the manager that stepped in when several tables arrived all at the same time.

    Overall good experience. Good friend and I met up for a cocktail and apps after work, we only ordered a few small plates and a cocktail each, but it didn’t seem as though we had a server. We had about 5 different people check in on us multiple times. We had at least 3 people ask about our drinks and 5 ask about our food. Although it was sweet, it was overkill. Better off having just one server stick to the table as it can get confusing.

    Great spot for 4 friends to catch up. Central downtown location and beautiful Art Deco design gives this a New York feeling. We had a great time.

    It was a great evening spent at Lena: the staff is attentive, delicious dishes and ambiance is great. Decor is very nice and noise level was appropriate for carrying a conversation without raising voice. The only minor nuance was a wobbly table, but overall the experience was nice

    The first impression was very upsetting. Inspite of having a reservation we were made to wait without being even acknowledged of our presence. Members of the team perhaps may have been busy irrespective felt like leaving. Once we were seated then the rest was okay. As they say first impression is the best impression but Lens Restaurant failed us. Sorry to note this.

    First things first: the service. Our waitress Elizabeth was utterly awesome. EXTREMELY dedicated and professional. Made us feel like we were the only diners in the restaurant. Thank you for everything Elizabeth! The decor and ambience were also really nice. My partner - who is Argentinian - was saying that the upstairs seating area reminded her of the family house back in Cordoba! :) Well done here as well! Lastly, the food and drinks...I really wish I could be as dithyrambic as for the rest but alas, it was a bit of hit and miss: - cocktails were delicious (Empress for my Beloved and El Diablo for me) - wine was on par - the Gaucho empanadas, shishito peppers and pan de miga were scrumptiuous - the Branzino tartare was delicious The rest was sub-par... - the spicy papa bravas were extremely dry and lacking crunch - the charred shrimps were pretty meh and tasteless. If recall correctly, there were 5 or 6 of them. 28$ is a bit much for such a plate - the escarole and endive salad was very plain. All in all, a more than decent experience thanks to the amazing service, delicious cocktails and some very good food. Will definitely give it another try down the line. PS: no matter how much she earns, give Elizabeth a raise! :)
