   Wonderful evening with my family - we dined Al fresco and enjoyed the tuna, risotto and salads. Dessert was perfect! A great evening with extremely friendly and accommodating staff!

   A very good restaurant that has a good aura as well. Food’s great as the service and music. It seems the first shift is traditional and the second one is mixed with music and party vibe on the week end. Loved it

    Really disappointing. We picked this place because it had so many great reviews but the food was not good. Steak was practically raw even ordered medium. One lamb chop overdone, one practically raw on the same plate. My husband’s glass of wine was undrinkable.

    Wir haben uns das Restaurant ausgesucht weil wir eine neue Interpretation klassischer franz. Gerichte gesucht haben. Das angebotene Essen auf der Speisekarte hat auch unserem Wunsch entsprochen. Bei Ankunft hat sich dann aber schnell herausgestellt, dass das Restaurant sich eher an Touristen und internationale Gäste richtet. Das Ambiente war nicht der Preisklasse des Essens gerecht geworden. Sehr laute Radiomusik und auch eher etwas flapsige Bedienungen. Die Getränke waren sehr gut, Cocktails und Wein waren wirklich lecker. Das Essen per Se war sehr teuer und nur in der unteren Mittelklasse der sonst gewohnten französischen Küche wiederzufinden. Es war nicht schlecht, aber eben auch nichts besonderes. Die Preise dafür waren aber extrem hoch, daher nur zwei Sterne.

    We happened upon this restaurant on our first evening in Paris, so we did not know what to expect. It was not a large restaurant, but it was not cramped. The waiter was wonderful, enduring my failed attempts to speak French, I had the lamb, and it was amazing, cooked perfectly, and served with a delicious sauce and perfectly prepared vegetables. I wish I could give more details, but I was very jet lagged. All of us loved our dishes and highly recommend this restaurant.

    Don’t judge a book by its cover applies well for this restaurant. We consider ourselves huge foodies, always looking for off the beaten path gems, and staying away from overly recommended and popular Paris restaurants. We were attracted to L’empire du 8’eme by its menu online and immediately made a reservation, which was last minute as we had unexpected changes in plans. At first the atmosphere worried us, as it felt more casual and what most would consider high end, but we were quickly blown away by the incredible service, impeccable plating, flavors and presentation in each dish. It turned out to be one of the best restaurants we went to in Paris! The food was prepared perfectly and the balance of flavors and ingredients was very impressive. I would not miss this restaurant if you like Mediterranean-esque cuisine. If you have a larger party, the cellar downstairs has an incredible atmosphere for an intimate group gathering.
