We had a wonderful time and a fabulous meal. The staff was very accommodating. We brought her own homemade wine and shared it with the owner and the staff. We will definitely go back, sooner than the latter.

Leila's Bistro exceeded my every expectation. In fact, I don't have anything negative to say about the dining experience. This place is a wonderful little neighborhood gem located in the heart of Jenkintown, where there are few truly innovative and unique options outside of chains and glorified "burger bars." It is BYO, so bring your beverage of choice and be prepared to be bowled over by a culinary blast of innovative deliciousness. The server was also the host. She was delightfully attentive, courteous, and paced out the meal with innate precision. The appetizer portions were ample, delicious, and could easily serve as an entree or be shared. Try the Fried Brussels Sprouts - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and they come with lots of bacon and chipotle caramel. The other appetizer we had was a "daily special" - Crab Salad with charred corn. The presentation was almost as good as the food - lump crabmeat and minimal dressing perfectly combined to make for a satisfying opener. For the main courses, my dinner guest and I had the Pan Seared Duck (served with roasted vegetables & fruit puree) and another special of the day, a fish called Baramundi. The Baramundi was new to me, but it's sea bass-like texture and mellow taste made it familiar and welcome. It was pan-seared with a very light golden finish accompanied with a seasonal vegetable mixture. It was delicious as evidenced by the fact that I ate all of it! The duck was prepared pan seared too, and as recommended by our server, served medium. The meat was tender, succulent and juicy. At the conclusion of the meal, we shared dessert. It was a wise choice. The chocolate pot-de-creme was the perfect finish to the meal...equal parts rich, dense and smooth sweet dark chocolate. Leila's is an ideal dining choice for a meal that one would otherwise have to drive in town to experience. The environment is comfortable and relaxing. We are going to come back with family and friends.

Small and intimate BYOB with delicious food. The veal chop was absolutely perfect and not over priced as were the scallops on a bed of spinach. Has convenient parking. It's charming, warm and lovely.

Small, intimate setting. It has a nice, classy ambiance. We were there on a Wednesday night and were the only patrons. I hope that's not indicative of a normal day, because the restaurant deserves better.

I have been impressed twice with this little place's French/American dishes and preparation. Escargot soup is deliteful. The fresh fish was a thick portion with a browned top crust of flesh I have not experience before, but will again. Generous portions. Duck was crispy skinned outside and rare juicy inside. Finished everything. Coffee was fresh and delicious. BYOB.

We have followed Jen and Jose for many years and really enjoy everything about what they have to offer... we also appreciate the BYO option... we have had parties and family dinners at Leila's and their prior restaurants... always a great experience...

I would rate this very, very high - comparable to highest level restaurants in terms of quality of the food and level of service. A real gem tucked away in a small setting. Perfect for those who love a great meal dining out or a romantic special place. Don't miss it !

My husband and I have been going to Leila's for the past few months and have really enjoyed it. The food and service has been perfect! I love the fact that it's smaller and more intimate, it really makes for a great night out.

Had dinner on 6/23/16. As always, the restaurant was beautiful and Jen was a wonderful hostess. Jose is great in the kitchen. The cavatelli was perfectly cooked and not drowning in sauce. The carmelized Brussels sprouts were sweet/savory perfection. The pork--moist and delicious. Desserts were light and flavorful--perfect for summer.
