Wonderful atmosphere book at sunset for best views!
Great food! Beautiful spot by the water! Great service! Went for the 4pm chefs tasting, small portions but worth it, especially if you aren’t hungry for a large dinner! Crab cakes are delicious! Hula pie is huge! Very yummy.
We have been visiting Maui for years and always visited Leilani’s, but this is our last time eating here. If anything we come early and put our name in for the Beachside Cafe, better food and service and value.
Delicious dinner for all three of us. Was better than lunch we had a few days prior. Thank you !
The tasting menu is perfect for me because I don't like big portions. Love the Maui salad (with walnuts, strawberries and goat cheese) and the fish of the day. Server was great as well as the view. Totally social distant!
The parmesan-crusted fish (monchong this time) is still fabulous; however, the hula pie was served 'naked' (i.e. the chocolate shell was missing!) They say it is due to a shortage of chocolate in Maui, but Duke's did not seem to have that problem the day before.
To her credit, Alicia did bring us a small dish of fudge to compensate: thank you !
Terrible serving sizes. I order Fish & Chips. The fish consisted two small pieces. One was approx 3 inches long and the other 2 inches long and about 2 inches wide.
Such a sad serving and should have embarrassed the cook. This isn’t McDonald’s you know. It’s 21$
Very disappointing. The chef basically said ‘too bad’. In order to get a normal serving I would have to order two. At 42$.
Wonderful food, beautiful view, exceptional 😄
We booked Leilani's for our last night on Maui and what a disappointment. We had to wait a half an hour for our table (even though we had a reservation), our server was rude, our dinner took over an hour to arrive (a "problem in the kitchen") and when it did arrive, with the exception of the burger, it was terrible. Not at all how I remember this restaurant. With so many other delicious options on Maui, we won't be returning to this one.
The portions were crazy small for the price
Great time. Staff was super friendly and very accommodating! Food was fantastic!
Superb as always. One of our favorite places on Maui.
Outstanding food, service, atmosphere! We ate here twice during our 8 day stay on Maui. Once in the bar and once upstairs inside with a beautiful ocean view! Maui is getting tons of tourists but the Service industry was very impacted by Covid. Many workers left the island because of no work in 2020. You NEED a reservation to avoid LONG wait times until they can get back to a more normal. Still...worth the wait!
Service was very spotty but the food was ok. It took them 15min past our reservation time to sit us. And then another 40min to bring us the cold appetizers we ordered right after being sat, in spite of several check ins with the waitress who wasn’t quite apologetic. The food was standard Maui fare with a beautiful view.
Leilanis is always a reliable choice. The menu is very limited right now, but there is still enough variety to please most people. The staff is friendly and you can’t beat the view.
Lovely location and friendly service but a bit slow. The food was good but not exceptional. Drinks were really not great. 1944 Mai tai lacked Agricole rum
and depth of flavor signature of trader vics original mai tai. House ma tai tasted like cough syrup. Wish there was a Maui bar that served real tiki drinks. Still looking.....
We were seated 30 min after our reservation time. It took an hour to receive our meals after ordering. The food was mediocre.
Food wasn’t great
Service was great. Our waiter John was awesome.
Thank you for a wonderful evening I
Most delicious seafood hot pot. Impeccable hospitality by kevin.
Great food, great service and hard to beat the view at sunset.
Between the three restaurants at Whalers Village that are on the beach, this one fell short. The prices are just as high, but the value for the food just wasn’t there. Hula Grill, while just as expensive, delivered more for the value. Monkeypods food simply tasted better. You will still have a nice meal at Leilanis but it just seems like they went a bit cheap on the portions and quality.
We enjoyed Leilani’s for dinner upstairs. This is our first time using the dining experience vs the bar area of the beach. It was VERY well spaced for distance. Our waiter was very attentive. I had my absolute most favorite martini yet - Sunset something or other.
It was very windy and we ended up having the windows closed but it didn’t change the ambience one bit.
Everything about our meal was wonderful. Thank you to the staff and kitchen for making our evening one to remember.
Great restaurant! Kids enjoyed themselves too. Mahi Mahi was amazing!
Great chicken and ribs. Great service. We enjoyed our dinner.
Service was very good. Drinks, salad, and fish were all very tasty. Yes it’s full of tourists - we are tourists- but the food is good! I would eat here again no problem. Just remember to make reservations like two months in advance!
Nice atmosphere- right on beach at Whaler's village
Good Mai Tai and great views
Food and service were both fantastic!
It was for my husband’s birthday. The dinner and service was excellent!
Waitress was sweet, but food was not good. 3 out of 4 of us had a bad meal. Busser dropped bbq in bag of new clothes. Never saw him again
Family dinner on the beach. Great ocean view spot. Very limited menu. Food was good but not great for the price.
Bad, waited an hour on our food. Server never came back to us after we ordered. Fish tacos, shredded lettuce, piece of tough fish, salsa on the side with chips. No sauce with the tacos.
An incredible meal. Absolutely the best service by Kevin.
Maybe it’s the pandemic, but the food was really mediocre. Unless you’re at the railing, the seating is not that great. We’ve been to quite a few other places on the island, and all were better.
Great spot with great views . Always busy so you need reservations to be seated
Everything was great! Our waiter John was excellent and suggested some nice choices that we all enjoyed. We got to see the beautiful sunset from our table as a perk, too!
Our table was overlooking the ocean, the food was good, but needed to have salt added, we typically like meals that are full of flavor and fully seasoned, otherwise very good.
Some of the best fish tacos we have ever had. A must stop for us on every Maui visit.
Excellent service, friendly staff, great food, great location. We were not rushed and Leilani's delivered a great dining experience.
This place is beautiful but the food is dry and bland. Drinks were good.
