Leila by the Bay
Even though we had to wait awhile (and we had reservations). The food was good and the atmosphere was cool. The prices are reasonable, I would definitely go back. They also have outside seating for those nice warm days.
The only thing good about this place is the food!!! Absolutely amazing every time. But their service suckksssssss. I’ve been eating here for a while and it just gets worse. This time the host kept us waiting 15 minutes after our scheduled reservation to seat us and not because there wasn’t available tables, but because he disappeared to do other stuff. And then as he took us to be seated, he stopped at the bar to say hi to friends, so we waited for that...horrible!
Wrong order came back and the other guests’ food got cold while waiting for the correct order which took too long to be served. No compensation for credit was offered nor a visit from management.
Wait time to be seated took longer in spite of having a reservation.
They were out of mussels. The Greek salad had black olives not kalamata...and was tasteless. The prawns and soft shell crab were good...not great. But the view is superb.
This was our third time eating here... the service was to the point where I went to the bar to get my own refills. They were out of glasses, so we had to wait 15 minutes to get cocktails, beer, or even water... waitress was almost non existent, even after the restaurant was mostly empty after the rush.
I don’t know if their just understaffed or what, but it was pretty disappointing, given our prior experiences.
I don’t expect perfection, but I at this price point, I expect much better...
We had a one and a half year old with us and the wait staff was excellent. Food was good and view was pretty.
I live nearby but have only been here for happy hour. Went for breakfast with a friend, and had a lovely time. Reservation through OT wasn't recorded (got a no-show email from them that was eventually cleared up - not sure whose fault it was). Food was very good, although waitress brought my friend the wrong Benedict - she was hungry, so she kept it and said it was tasty anyway. I had the margherita omelet, which was good but a little cool and tough. Potatoes were yummy; fresh orange juice was excellent; we had fruit with breakfast - i don't know where they get their pineapple, but next time i will order an entire bowl - exceptional. Prices are extremely reasonable.
I had heard great things about Leila’s. I went with my daughter and a family friend. I ordered a salad that said there was housemade dressing. It was store bought and awful and olive oil was not even available. My daughter had a pancake with „fake” maple syrup that is usually high fructose corn syrup. No real maple syrup was available. The „housemade” iced tea was also not housemade. There was no gluten free bread and no alternative milk. I guess I just don’t expect junk food quality in a restaurant and would think that some options for gluten free would be in today’s oh-so common gluten and cow milk allergies. Also, there was no hostess and no manager and sfaff seemed overwhelmed...It was also very loud...I was definitely disapointed
The food was very good and the portions are filling, but where they fell short is the service.
After ordering our food, it took a significant amount of time for us to get our food. Additionally, no one ever checked on afterwards.
Finally, there is a problem with flies & gnats buzzing around the tables and food.
My daughter and I went because a co-worker of mine referred it, and it was wonderful. The view and the food were amazing. I will refer my friends.
It was good I would tell my friends and family to eat there
Totally recommend this place to other people, took my friends for the 1st time & they loved it ! The owner knows me very well & he’s very friendly . :) I’ll give this place a 10/10 !
We eat here about once a week and are never disappointed.
Nice place, Good menu, Taste was superb. Staff was above nice, Good restaurant, Its now on my favorite lists.
We sat outside with a nice view of the bay. The food and drinks were good; a nice surprise spot! Our only complaint was we had to flag down a waiter for water, cocktails and silverware. (maybe it was because we were sitting outside) However, We will definitely return!
Brunch was fabulous and the bottomless mimosas are truly bottomless! Our waitress kept our glasses full and we had a great time catching up. We never felt rushed and were truly able to enjoy our Sunday meal. We will definitely be back!
Sunday breakfast with mother was really delicious
Had family fro kit of town and wanted to take them to a great local place for breakfast. They were not disappointed
Fabulous view of the Bay with the nostalgic sound of trains passing by lends to a lovely evening out. Great food, fun staff, a little secret hideaway perfect for a family night out or a fun date!
My friends and I enjoyed our dinner and although we stayed until past closing, we were never made to feel rushed. Thank you.
Always the BEST!
The view is spectacular, the food is delicious and the service is the best!
Beautiful view but disappointed in the food and drinks :(
We had Fathers Day Brunch. Food was excellent. Service was very slow. We will go back!!
My husband and I had a great time. The atmosphere was beautiful, the restaurant was beautiful. We walked in and it was a few minute wait but the plus side to the wait is everyone to the bartender, waiter and waitress they did not ignore us they all recognized us standing there waiting WOW! Now about the food and drinks I say 10 star all the way across the board! We had breakfast there our drink was the mocktails ( Cucumber and lime and the Pineapple, no jito) DELICIOUS! My husband had Cornbeefhash and I hah Leila Combo ( 2 bacon, 2 eggs, potatoes and a pankcake). Let me just say that Black Bear Diner has nothing on Leila pancakes and that's a FACT. We will be back! No doubt.
This was my first visit to Leila's. Loved the place, the view and the food. Plan to visit again soon.!
Gorgeous view, good food, good service and the best part was the flamenco show. I will definitely be telling people about this great experience.
I loved everything!! Great customer service by Joseph
We celebrated my Mom's 85th Birthday with a surprise dinner party at Leila by the Bay and had a wonderful time. Mo was able to accommodate our additional guests and everyone had a blast. Service was fun and on point, drinks were great, and the food was scrumptious. We started with the Burata appetizer and House Salad along with drinks to get the party started. I had the Braised Lamb Shank which was so tender and well seasoned. Mom had the day's special Eggplant Parmigiana which was divine. Our friends also ordered the Chicken Marsala, Seafood Linguini, Tamarind Short Ribs, and Blackened Salmon...all delicious! Then they brought Mom vanilla ice cream complete with birthday candle and sang Happy Birthday (along with everyone in the restaurant). Then they drew the window shades up to open up this spectacular sunset view over the bay. Mom was in seventh heaven! Thanks to everyone at Leila by the Bay for a magical evening!!!
The food was great! I had the salmon omelet and it was fantastic!
It was my birthday brunch my crew and I had a blast !!
Thank you Rachel for taking care of us xoxoxo
It's a lovely spot! Good ambiance, a view of the water. But the food is definitely meh. Overdressed caesar salad, ingredients pretty blah, too many croutons that did not seem to be home made.
It was good but we wanted to sit outside and they were understaffed so the patio was closed
Love it here. Good view of the Bay. I like brunch and lunch here. Comfortable seating. Nice, friendly, efficient staff. Have eaten here multiple times. Never a complaint. ❤️
Nice place for being somewhat out of the way in a residential neighborhood by the bay. Very noisy inside. Big screen TV and Bar in view of all tables. Would recommend their outside seating if weather permits. View of the bay from some tables. Good food, especially the sea food dishes. Very good staff, attentive but not overly. Some interesting specialty drinks. Nice wine selections but very few beer choices. Great place for a birthday or other celebration.
What great gem of a place. The service was amazing and the food was delicious!
Brought out of town visitors. It was a rainy day and even so, the view was still lovely. Nice location, ample parking, nice ambiance. We came on a Saturday and there was no wait (we had a reservation for 4p). The place filled up pretty quickly. We started off with the Happy Hour menu - ordered calamari and buffalo wings for starters to share - very tasty. A couple of us ordered the short ribs/mashed potatoes and the third ordered chicken marsala. Very delicious and the servings were huge - we all were stuffed at the end and got a to-go box, absolutely no room for dessert! There were moments when conversations got a little loud and we couldn’t hear each other well; but that just means you talk a little louder and be prepared to repeat yourself a few times, lol. A great first time visit! I’ve always wanted to go there and I will definitely be back again! My guests loved it!
The whole dining experience was lovely! We chose to eat outside as all the window seats were taken. Our waiter turned on the heater for us! The food was incredibly delicious(risotto and asparagus). It is my new favorite restaurant!
Always the best place to go with girlfriends! Mo and the staff do an excellent job of making everyone feel welcome at Leila’s. My girlfriends call them my “family”. They are!
Food was good as usual. Reservations were easy to make. Your location is good as we live in the area.
Great place! Great food! Chicken Marsala was delicious!
