Since lunch was great, I came back with more friends for dinner. We ordered flounder, salmon, crab, butternut potatoes which were all seasoned & prepared perfectly. The table bread was also delicious. Our attentive waiter was very patient with us, even though it took us “forever” to order. All staff members were gracious & kind. Dessert & coffee were good too. Highly recommend for a relaxing time & superb food.
Food and wine were delicious. Friendly service and nice quiet table. Beautiful bar lounge. Will definitely be back
Wines are highly overpriced. A $15 wine was billed at $78! Food was good. Service was indifferent.
Pre show dinner
Dinner for 2. The grilled salmon was done to perfection. The fish & fries were as well. The calamari & zucchini appetizer was very good yet a bit heavy on the old bay seasoning. The 6 bluepoint oysters were excellent. Add one adult beverage and the total was around $125
Good food, a little noisy, you have to yell to be heard, but overall a great time. I will definitely go back
Fist night in NYC, visiting from CA, here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary
Food and drink were delicious.....only downfall, long wait before meal arrived. The Cesar salad that was ordered never arrived. Waiter made up for the error with complimentary dessert.
I was solo and as a result, I will agree with other reviewers that it adds up quickly. My scallops were super fresh, but the preparation not particularly tasty. Noisy. Best for a crowd and order simple.
The fixed price seafood special was outstanding. Our wait staff, especially Victoria, made our dinner a very enjoyable and memorable experience.
Great food in super-convenient location to Penn Station & theatre district. Nice atmosphere too.
We sat at the bar and were treated well.
The food was mostly terrific, with a nice variety of raw and cooked shellfish and fish, even on a smaller menu. The fish and chips was great, not at all greasy, the tuna tartar, listed an opener, was a good size and really flavorful. The vegetable side dishes (asparagus, spinach, fries, quinoa) were all good and could make a meal for those who don't want fish or meat. The only two negatives: when our seabass came and the waiter introduced it as the bass with crispy skin, the fish was tasty but the skin was far from crispy and had to be scraped off. We told the waiter and all he did was say, oh sorry. And the prices are pretty high and add up quickly if you order a variety of items. And I liked the design of the place - comfortable, lively, but not overly noisy. I would return but consider my wallet while ordering.
To much brouhaha reverberate
Great birthday dinner. Food was amazing and the service was great.
Fantastic! Easy to find near Time Square. DELICIOUS! Fresh seafood. friendly, attentive service. fun cocktails. oysters, scallops and flounder were wonderful.
We stopped here for dinner before a concert at MSG and had an excellent meal. Drink specials were a good deal, but we had ordered drinks before realizing happy hour was still on.
The shared Sunday night special was very tasty, and a tremendous value as well. Our waiter Aidan was professional and attentive.
Food was okay, but there was sand/grit in the seafood pasta.
Great meal. Just wish the host hadn’t brought us our check so soon. We had just gotten our dessert and our server was still checking in on us. Other than that great time. Super fresh seafood
We used our Open Table reward to dine at Legasea and were not disappointed. My husband had the tuna and I had the bronzino as our main courses. It was our Anniversary and we were treated very well! Thank you!
We will be back...great location if you plan to dine before catching a train from Penn Station!
The food was miniature and tasteless. The pasta was bitter and the serving we received didn't have much seafood in it. 157 dollars for 3. A mojito was $12.
Quality food, well prepared. The prix code is an extraordinarily good deal. There regular size courses for the price of an entree. But the place is noisy as the house resonates - No insulation. Worth a visit.
The food and service were great!
The server Aidan was so gracious lookin over our every need very pleasant personality. The food was excellent the price excellent would recommend to everyone thank you for a great nite out
It was just amazing, works out for a date or a gathering with friends.
The ambiance, food, and service were great. I had a team builder here for work and was pleasantly surprised with Legasea as a choice for a corporate event. The team feedback was also very good regarding the choice of Legasea. We were worried that the quality would suffer due to it's proximity to time square and tourist traps, but clearly, they've maintained a heightened focus on quality.
Dirty glass, second time this happened to me. overcooked fish. second time there, both times i was disappointed. I expected more from TAO Group. I had a similar experience with Magic hour bar located in same building, dirty glass.
My husband and I had a lovely dinner here on a Saturday evening. It was a summer night so not so packed. The restaurant is quite large and beautifully decorated. Pretty hip & chic. Large bar with plenty of barstools and a large open dining room. Our waitress was professional & personable and the rest of the staff was great too. As with most hotel restaurants, it was slightly on the pricey side, but the food was very good and presented well. I’d recommend it.
Loved this restaurant. We had low expectations on the quality of food and service given its in the middle of tourists-however, we were happily surprised. The staff was beyond attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious from their famous beignet crab cakes to their pastas to their drinks-everything was delicious and we would happily go back again.
Everything we ate was very tasty. Great shoot hour and good service!
We came here for my brothers birthday and i wasn’t disappointed! I loved the seafood pasta, the crab Beignets were delicious although small and my brother loved the fried chicken which was surprisingly good. The Mac and cheese wasn’t my favorite but was good if you like a smoky Gouda kind of taste. I would return!
If you love seafood and good drinks and fun, this is a great place. Ny friends and I had fun. The place is not for light eaters. Large sized appetizers and plates were served. I ate cause I love food but make sure you skip a meal when you go.
Delicious. Came for restaurant week dinner. Started with the crab benigets, then had the flounder with spinach and the peach trifle for dessert. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was excellent and attentive. Ambience was nice. Highly recommended.
Terrible, slow, inattentive service. Overpriced drinks. Fair food quality. Will not return.
this is my second visit for business meeting. i tried the lunch special and thought it was good so repeated this again during my second visit. either waiter was inexperienced or they try to scam you out of food/value... lunch (at $26/person) was supposed to come with salad/soup and smaller entree type plate... waitress took main entree but never even asked about salad/soup... poor training or bad management... either way for $26 lunch, you should impress your guests instead of leaving them wondering if oversight was done on purpose. Food/flavor good... but too expensive for normal "lunch"....
Food was excellent! Flavors were delicious! Service was outstanding our server was friendly. Would definitely recommend this place.
Staff was well versed In the menu and very friendly
Thank you for a nice meal and experience
The food was good and portion size for restaurant week were as expected. The chicken sandwich a colleague of mine had was not good by her standards. Wish I had more details to share. The gun powder broccoli was very highly recommended by the waiter. So much so, two people ordered it for the table. It turns out no one liked charred broccoli, it was a bit too smokey and had too much of a bite for someone not used to the dish. It is definitely an acquired taste not a tasty dish.
The flounder was buttery soft flaky and delicious! the spinach doesnt dissapoint. I didnt have the New England Clam Chowder but I heard it was different than what they were used to having and they really enjoyed it.
the squid was very good!
Little on the loud side but some really great seafood. Service was a little slow initially, but really turned out to be excellent overall.
Food was good and the $35 dinner tasting menu was very fair. "Lobster bake" tasty but difficult to eat in a big soupy bowl, not very practical. But being asked to call the restaurant to confirm for fear of losing my table (rather than the other way around) was pretty obnoxious and didn't set a good tone prior to arrival. Especially with an early Sunday booking where the restaurant was maybe 30% full. Staff was very nice nonetheless.
Good food. Excellent service. Very loud. Hard to have a conversation. Food excellent but pricy for what is was. Desserts ok.
