Kudos to our server Erica who made a great dinner even better. What a great personality and timed every thing perfectly. Great recommendations, too.
We went Saturday the 14th, right before they closed all the restaurants so it was almost totally empty at prime time on Saturday night. I felt bad for the staff and the owners.
But the food was excellent. A warm salad was wonderfully filled with mushrooms. The beignets are unlike anything I’ve had before and so insanely flavorful for the tiny things they are. Yes, overpriced at $15 for 4. Maybe make it 6 or drop the price to $10. But they are delicious.
We had flounder which was nicely cooked but the coating it a bit doughy and heavy and was not bad but maybe too heavy for the fish. The scallops were excellent and perfectly prepared. The tuna tartare is insanely good.
Sadly there were about 8 people in the whole place and only 2 came in over the course of 90 minutes.
If they reopen, I’d be back in a heartbeat.
It was amazing! Our server Erica was more than accommodating. She gave the best recommendations and the food was delish! Definitely going back for sure.
Ok I revisited this place a second time because it was just that good.. Jaimie was very attentive while I waited for my guest to arrived this time I enjoyed this lavender drink which is delectably good sweet and strong and tasty . I enjoy the raw tuna tartar l, As my entree I had the flounder .. and my friend had the snapper.. I really enjoyed her snapper.. my flounder, I was not to thrilled about I felt like what ever breading it was coated in I can taste egg batter it was dipped it .. I felt it was a little heavy and thick . I prefer my fish to be on the crispy side. It was my birthday and I found it odd that I listed it on the open table when I made reservations and they did not make note of it. The girl that seated me Wednesday evening wasn't very pleasant she seemed annoyed and agitated.
Amazing happy hour!!
Favorite go to spot - excellent food service and ambiance
Many service issues...relish tray on table but forgot the rolls, Two servers hit our table with food for other guests and our server forgot she’d taken the dessert order, came back and asked again ...took 20min to arrive and then she was nowhere to be found to retrieve the check. Been here many times with better experiences at dinner. Lunch was not up to par.
Food was amazing .. will be coming back . I had the mussels as an appetizer very flavorful so delish. Had the Brazino with a side of Mac and Cheese .. The Mac and cheese was so rich comfort food. My friends had the the pasta and clams and the Davolia . Everybody enjoyed there food . We especially love the fresh Hawaiian bread they served to us.. The only minor issue is the reservations were for 9;45 and the kitchen closes at 10. That was my only issue . Thank god I was on time. I also enjoyed my cucumber martini which was so refreshing.
The food and the drinks were amazing. The diver sea scallops were sooooooo good. However, the fries were very salty. The service was great too.
Great space, great food and great service! Plus a bonus, it's near Penn Station if you need to travel.
It is ok if you are in midtown and looking for something to eat.
great good, but way.. wayyyy too noisy for me. It was downright unpleasant. They should install noise absorbers in the ceiling. I'll only go back at quieter times, if they exist.
Outstanding food and service. Thanks, Josh!
Our waiter was excellent - knowledgeable about the food, efficient, good service. The food was delicious although the portions could be more generous for the price. Easy to miss this place from the street since it's on the 2d floor, but once you get there, it's great.
Birthday lunch with my gal pal. They offered nice price fix with tasty branzino. Donuts dessert was delish but should have been part of the price fix. Everyone was very accommodating.
good food for the price!
I really like the flounder francaise and it is consistent every time. Fries are way too salty.
Very good food and service. Will go back. Nice bar area as well.
My flounder & spinach was delicious!
Our server was very nice & attended to our needs.
The flounder is amazing !! And the service was really great !!
Lovely meal but our entree came less than five minutes after we ordered, so we felt a little rushed. Excellent food.
Very good food well prepared. , great service very attentive. Lovely positive atmosphere. Good for any occasion . Wine list a tad pricy. No good options under $50.
Food is a bit too salty for us but overall delicious.
This was an excellent experience and would certainly recommend it to my friends
Great place great food. Try the Branziono
I had a chilled seafood appetizer that was wonderful and fresh. I had the seafood Fra Diovolo as my meal and it was very good.
Not to be confused with Emeril Lagasse. This is a seafood restaurant on the second floor.
Amazing experience just we cane 10
Mins early and the hostess said we were two early with lots of seats available , maybe because it was Saturday night, Valentine’s Day weekend , and NYC we went to the bar next door and had a drink .. it was worth the wait , great food , even better service , highly recommend:)
They clams and oysters could have been a little bigger 🤷🏽♂️
The drinks and apple cider doughnut was great but the food was not the best. I barely ate it and i definitely was not taking it home. On the bright side our waiter was awesome and the ambience was amazing. I just wished for the amount of money i spent, my food should have been good. I wasnt the only table. The table next to us wasn't fond of their food either.
While Legasea’s food is good, service excellent (ask for Adam) the atmosphere was confusing. It’s brasserie vibe was not consistent with the loud uptempo music-or vice versa. Either way, the two did not seem to work together and it was hard to talk. I had the price fixe meal. The much heralded crab beignets were yummy. The Branzino was dry. But the chocolate pudding was delish. My husband had the flounder, which was good, not great.
All in all, a pleasant meal out in a warm and comfortable setting with decent food and really good service.
Really great experience. The food was well seasoned and presented. Our staff were friendly.
We were visiting New York City for the first time. It was Valentines dinner. Our only disappointment was they had offered one dollar oysters during happy hour. When we arrived and sat at our table we were told only the people sitting at the bar could have the one dollar special oysters we would have to pay full price at the table. That was disappointing and we did not understand why they would offer it only to people at the bar when their ad clearly stated it was
Great food, very loud though. Desserts and drinks were awesome!
We had a great birthday dinner/date night.
Great location & really good seafood with creative combinations. Very noisy....no intimate conversations here.
We enjoyed a romantic anniversary dinner at this gorgeous restaurant. Loved the vibe and decor. The food was more than amazing! Will be here again when we visit NYC!
Very hot in the restaurant. Food was good but too pricey for the quality.
All around good time. Very enjoyable food, service, and ambiance.
Vibrant scene, comfortable seating and friendly service. The food was delicious too. We had the Happy Hour Oyster, the presentation was nice. The oyster was fresh, just a tad small in size. We tried their NY restaurant week menu and everyone at our table (group of 5) all tried different dishes, we were ALL very happy with our choices. The food was nicely presented and delicious. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Our friend made a complicated request on how he liked his coffee, our server did her best and complied. Overall, it was a positive experience. I was able to make a dinner reservation only 1 day before that Friday night; our table was promptly ready. There was no delay in serving even the restaurant was quite busy. It is a good option for a large group of dinner party in a pinch at the heart of New York city.
Awesome food!! Casual space and quick service. Best restaurant in this neighborhood. Definitely give it a try after shopping in Macy's or if you work in the area!
This is one of my favorite place. I have always enjoyed the food and the service along with the ambiance.
