The service was amazing. I had a reservation so I didn’t have to wait. The food was amazing, we went for my fiancé’s birthday and got the seafood bake, Mac and cheese, and a Caesar salad to share. It was PLENTY of food! I was looking for something a bit up scale but not too snooty. This place was perfect! Highly recommend
It was a fabulous find whose only fault is its silly name. $1 oysters and half price happy hour wine only made the experience even better. Very indulgent waitstaff, food fresh and delicious, interesting. Loved the sharable sides/vegetables. Everything exceeded expectations and I'll be there again this week!
My go to place with customers
Kale salad and lobster chili pasta was outstanding
Great place for after work in midtown. Food is great. Sometimes you have to stay on top of your waiter if you're on a tighter schedule. Great $7 happy hour, with decent wines to choose from!
The food and service were great. We had oysters as appetizers, my husband had the lamb special and I had the mussels appetizer as entree. We both loved our meals. The wine glasses were good but extremely expensive.
Awesome service, amazing atmosphere, delicious food!
We were there for over 4 hours and they were accommodating, helpful and never once rushed us out.
Enjoyed our lunch. We will be back.
For an area of town with a dearth of dining options this is a good find. It’s convenient to the theater district and a solid option of fresh and flavorful food. The menu is made of over priced basics and the service is very slow. For the price you’d expect better attention.
Food is fresh and well prepared (just had salad with chicken but nicely done with tasty dressing).
Place is relaxed with no pressure to eat and leave, especially considering it was a business lunch.
Loved that the waiter let us enjoy our time together and didn’t rush us. The food was delightful and overall we had a good time
Thank you to our waiter Josh for being attentive and for laughing with us. Great time! We will be back.
My friend have a wonderful dinner & they love the food !
Food was good, waiters not really great explaining the menu and the options available
Great food and service. Terrific menu and happy hour specials ($1 /oyster, $7 wine!). Loved it!
Excellent experience in all respects. Will definitely return!
I celebrated my birthday with friends, the drinks were great. Food was delicious our server Josh was attentive and very helpful with any questions. It’s a beautiful intimate restaurant great for any type of occasion.
Service was bad - unhelpful and unfriendly. And they overcharged us, and their reaction when we pointed it out was: ‘we didn’t do it on purpose’. Not good enough - I would not go back or recommend it.
The ambiance and scene were the standouts for our visit to Legasea Seafood. As well, the happy hour and oysters were of great value. Food was good but nothing to knock you socks off. Nothing to complain about either. We had the salmon and the flounder. House wine, both the red and the white were better than expected selections. We would go back.
Great experience! Our server was wonderful and the food was delicious! We’ll definitely be back!!
First time I was at Legasea and it won’t be the last time. We were there for lunch & the price fix was very reasonable & delicious
Had a wonderful Christmas dinner with the family. Very impressed with food options and service. Everything we had was delicious and the cocktails were perfect! Service was super friendly and prompt.
A very nice dinner but a bit expensive. The people who work there are very friendly.
Overall very subpar
Everything was wonderful. Would definitely be back.
Food and service were wonderful!
A little bit on the expensive side, but the food and service was really great. Slightly noisy, but not to an offensive level; you can have a conversation without raising your voice. Recommend the spicy crab beignets, I could have eaten those all night... I would definitely come here again, complimentary coat check (make sure to tip!) and excellent service and food all around :)
Food is great, server was particularly slow making us late to knicks game.
The food was good but we had an unfortunate table as it was right beside one of the waitstaff areas so we all we could hear was staff complaining about other members of staff. Plus they got our order wrong. My salmon was delicious though
We loved it!!
Theatre. Food was great as usual. Service excellent. Great location
Great service and very good food. We had a good time and definitely will be back.
Waitress was outstanding! We were quite late for our reservation (traffic coming into the city...) & they still sat us in 5 minutes. Ordered off theater menu to get to a show on time -food was ok. Hoping to go back & check out other options.
Packed restaurant with mediocre food and 2 toilets for 250 people make for an overall subpar experience based on how much I paid.
Went to legasea for few drinks with co-workers before the holidays, The place was packed.
Very nice crowd and ambiance. Good service.
Good happy hour, although very limited options.
The food was very good. The waitress was outstanding; fast, friendly, knowledgable and accommodating .
Bus boys kept water glasses full even if yours was not one of their tables. The front desk welcomed us all when we arrived and bid us farewell with a smile when we left.
Busy because of the holidays. Tables very close together and quite noisy so hard to have a business discussion.
Food was good. Bronzini was cooked well but had a few bones remaining.
Service was good considering restaurant was packed.
Excellent seafood and service was impeccable. Also love the pottery dinnerware!
Yes, just would make them aware that the Happy Hour value is great as far as the oysters and wine but the food only fair. $13 for what was a handful of barely dressed lettuce (and no additional veggies) is unimpressive. To charge an additional $15 for a small overcooked piece of salmon was also unimpressive. $3 each for cold crab beignets also not great value since you're mostly getting cold bread with a bit of cold crab. Don't go for the food but if you're with a group of friends it's lively and fun.
