Legal Sea Foods - Warwick Ratings and Reviews
My fiancee and I chose this as our dinner spot for Valentine's Day this year. I had a delicious apple sangria. We started with some steamers and rolls & butter. I had the Seafood Casserole with a side of Broccoli & Cheese - PHENOMENAL! My fiancee had the woodgrilled salmon with mustard sauce on the side and loved it! Reasonably priced for such great, fresh seafood.
Valentine's Day can be hectic, no doubt, but not once did we feel rushed or neglected. We had the attention of of server who made it a point to check with us as tthe quality of our experience. The food was very good, the selection was terrific, and in a state like RI where seafood is a hallmark of our restaurant scene Legal Seafood can stand with the best that the state has to offer.
This restaurant is pricey for sure, but you get high quality fish, prepared to your taste, and a great wait staff. I am lactose intolerant, and I can tell them this and then relax knowing they know what I can have and not have in preparation. A very special restaurant, I have never had a meal that wasn't top notch!!!!!!!!!!
We celebrated our grandmother's 92 birthday which was a fantastic event and Brian made our day by providing exceptional service with a smile. He was very accommodating with our families dietary needs as well as my 20 month old finicky palate! It was wonderful that he knew how dishes were prepared and could explain it rather than having to go and ask the chef with each question. We will definitely be back! Thank you!!
My daughter wanted Oysters and Lobster for her 8th birthday, so off to Legal seafood we went. The service was wonderful, food was delicious and my daughter was thrilled with her birthday dinner. We brought along her little friend who is a very picky eater. She was very happy with her meal too. The waitstaff put a birthday candle in my daughter's oysters, which was so funny and appreciated. Will be back...
I take out of town business client to dinner at Legals. Without fail, they tell me it was the nicest experience of their trip!! The restaurant is very nice without being stuffy.
The food, service and atmosphere are all exceptional. Make sure to call ahead and get Sue as your server. She'll take fantastic care of you.
I like the fact this restaurant is so close to our home. I was a bit surprised by the decor of this place, it seems a little outdated.
We had the raw oysters for appetizers, they were great!!!! Definitely a good deal!!! My husband had the Fritto Misto, which was just ok. There were fried vegetables, which for a fish place I would think it would be an assortment of fried fish. I had the salmon with sauted spinach and mushrooms which was fine, would order that again.
We got the bread pudding for desert, which we didn't care for at all, it really tasted reheated. We would not order this again.
We would come to dine again, cause the fish is so fresh.
The service was friendly and attentive.
This was a top 3 dining experience of my life. They have an extensive gluten free menu and are highly trained in catering to those with gluten allergies. I was very impressed. The seafood was delicious and our waitress was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful experience. Greeted warmly at the door and seated immediately ( we had reservations). Wait staff was very attentive, but not overly pushy. Food was excellent. My wife commented that she had never had such a large serving of scrod and that it was cooked to perfection. The crab salad roll was loaded with crab, and the clam fritters were done just right. A very good dining experience and I am sure that we will dine here again when back in the area
We had Christmas dinner here like we do most years. The staff is great and the food is terrific! Fresh fish, crisp, tasty shrimp cocktail and I love the sautéed spinach. Don't forget to try the bonbons for dessert. Tiny frozen ice cream balls coated in thick chocolate. MMM good!
My husband and I have dined here twice. We live in the area and the place is never full so it is a good last minute restaurant to go to. The food is very good, fresh and cooked with some skill. The service is professional but the atmosphere is an absolute zero, like a clean diner with the lights slightly dimmed. This is Rhode Island, there are many good seafood restaurants that are lovely and comfortable. The only reasons to go are 1. it is local (for us) and 2. You can always get in.
your lobster bisque was probably one of the best I've had in a long time, your bread was delicious bake fresh and made supper delicious... the crab cake is divine, fried oysters are delicious... and your wine, beautiful..... thank you
.... service was great.....
This place is outstanding. I had lunch there with a friend and we are still talking about how great it was. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. We both had the crab cake and it was fabulous. Being originally from Maryland (the land of the best crab cakes) I was a little unsure about ordering it, but our waitress assured me that I would enjoy it because it is a specialty of the house. OMG. She couldn't have been any more right...all lump crabmeat accompanied by a delicious salad and roasted butternut squash. This location was a halfway meeting spot for my friend and me between CT and MA and we can't wait to go back again.
We had a party of 7 where we had a couple of elderly and one with allergy to gluten. It was nice how they provided a menu for gluten-free where the guest was quite pleased with the food. It was also very nice that the elderly couple was allowed to split an entree where the server served each their own individual plate instead of one trying to scrape half of the meal into an empty place. The guests were quite impressed with that.
Although the food quality was quite good, as was the presentation, it cost 4 of us almost $300 for dinner, with a couple
of cocktails and no wine. We were in a booth with people on both sides - no privacy - and the waiter was odd
and ham-handed - serving was not his calling. We were also there for over two hours - much too long a wait for the entrees.
There was also a large table nearby with many small children out of their seats. Not what adults expect in this price range.
No matter how often we dine at this restaurant, we are never disappointed in the food - or drink! Shrimp & broccoli dish very tasty, if served with a tad too much rice. Seafood casserole dish spiced down to companion's request with just the right amount of spice...very accomodating.
