We chose Legal Seafoods because we were looking for quality fresh seafood. We were not disappointed. We also had a great bottle of wine for a surprisingly affordable price. The service was gracious but not attentive. The noise level made conversation difficult.
Everything was excellent!!
We love Legal Seafood at Tyson’s. The wait staff usually remembers us and our preferences. The food is always delicious. Would highly recommend.
Great seafood, attentive service on Saturday night
Free parking
HI, we were seated promptly and we got off to a good start but food took a while which is ok since it is made to order and it did come piping hot which is an important thing with me. But in between ordering and food arrival our waitress disappeared and so I asked other waiters for water...first drive-by waiter did not get it...the second drive-by waiter said he was aware I needed water....well if everyone is aware of this problem lets fix it....'bring the man some water'....a simple thing. So waiter #2 eventually brought some water and then our own waitress appeared so I asked for more water and some more bread while we waited.... and she asked if there was anything else we needed and my wife said never mind about the beer she'd ordered.
Not impressed🙁
We LOVED our dinner! Everything was perfect and boy are we glad we reserved, the place was jumping!
I put in the notes and also let the waitress know when we arrived that this was a very special birthday dinner. The place was pretty empty except for maybe seven tables. There were several waiters or waitresses there. Our waitress continually disappeared and because we had children at the table I had to continually get up to find her to ask for the menus and then for missing items and then for the dessert menu. I spent over $200 and although the food was exceptional and the manager tried to help at the end, it was a very disappointing experience and one I will not repeat.
Birthday. All food was over fried or too much butter etc.
There were plenty of tables available and was a quiet setting. Because it wasn't that busy I figured we'd have a decent service. The apps were good (soup and calamari) but our dinners were not. We've eaten at the LSF in Crystal City a few weeks before this location and had a great experience. But the same entree I ordered was a very different plate compared to the Crystal City store. The casserole was overcooked and charred on the top. I didn't want to cause a scene, so I didn't make a big deal about it. And it wasn't until the next day did I hear my husbands fish and chips was the worst he'd ever eaten. It was completely lacking seasoning. Will be our last visit to Tysons and we'll stick to our original location, if we choose to go again at all.
Our server was excellent. Friendly and just the right amount of attention.
We've been to Legal in DC and Crystal City before. First time at Tysons. Good as expected, though there was a little mix-up with our order and not much effort at restitution.
Good value for money. Great crab cakes. Will fine again.
We have made Legal Seafood our regular spot for family celebrations. We always are well served and the food is excellent! Thanks so much!
The bloody Marys were good. The special salad was wonderful. I had the cod special with mushrooms and tortellini and it was delicious. My dining companion had the ciopino (spelling?) and while it tasted very good, they said the shrimp, the clams and the calamari were tough. Will give it another try.
We enjoyed the seafood. Rarely have we seen such a discombobulated wait staff. Getting
rolls or water took reminders and the original waitress remembered nothing. She never
checked to see if our meal was satisfactory. When it came time to get the check, she disappeared to the bar area to catch up with her friends.
One would expect a better coordinated staff/should we say professional staff?
Good tuna tacos. Good shrimp tacos.
A Sancerre to go with lunch. Excellent combination.
Always consistently solid. Very nice staff. The menu is extensive, and the specials are always a good option. The bar has a good happy hour environment, and keep a lookout for the specials.
Food was pretty good and the service was great, ALTHOUGH, the men’s restroom was gross and disgusting! I had to complain to the manager and he didn’t seem to believe my suggestion to clean the restroom more often was warranted.
Service was extremely slow and food was mediocre at best
Excellent service and attention to food preparation for gluten allergy. Manager personally served those portions and food was prepared separately to avoid contamination. Waiter was very attentive but not pushy. Will continue to return to Legal Tysons Corner.
From the waiter to the hostess for the hostess to the waiter everything was excellent my first visit will not be my last visit
Great food and service
As always the seafood is perfect and no one makes clam chowder like Legal! Salmon was awesome.
Dinner at Legal Seafood is always a treat and always consistently good. I tried the special fish of the day instead of one my favorite menu dishes and it did not disappoint. Service was excellent also with great care to ensure my meal did not contain anything I was allergic to.
I let them know my guest was moving to Boston - they had a bon voyage note waiting at the table - lovely touch! Lobsters were superb!
As always - great service, awesome dinner choices.
Missed the fried clams, though.
I had the shrimp casserole and it was a little greasy. I also had a allergic reaction to something that was in it. Otherwise everything was good.
We have recently rediscovered Legal Seafoods and have really enjoyed our last few meals here. In particular, we have a child with Celiac disease and hands-down Legal Seafoods has been the best eating out experience for accommodating that no-gluten restriction. They go over and beyond our expectations for ensuring that his food order is safe and just have a ton of options for someone with gluten allergy or intolerance. Plus, the seafood is just delicious and very well prepared. Service is always excellent.
Great service from being greeted to the entire meal service.
Good location for business mtgs. Good sea food. Great service and very accommodating.
Great Service, And Wonderful Environment
Seafood was very good, especially Cioppino. Side of brussel sprouts was undercooked. Service friendly but a little slow. Ambiance: it is in a mall.
The food was excellent but our waiter was certainly lacking in his knowledge of the menu.
The hostess was great, arrived early while waiting for my date I sat upstairs bar, Very nice bartender was good, sat at dinner booth downstairs. Server was great, good beer (had Dogfish 60 mile) Apps and dinner Great..Very good Value for Valentines Night dinner.
It left a lot to be desired. The food was bland and over priced. I will not be heading there again anytime soon
The lobster was great. The coconut shrimp not so much. There was an odd powdery texture that we thought at first was raw batter, but may have been curry powder? Not one of the better coconut shrimp dishes we've had, and my husband LOVES coconut shrimp. I asked for dressing on the side for my salad and, of course, it was not.
They seated us at an inside booth, and we were glad we had a comfortable table. After a bit, I realized the other side of the wall, a thin wall with glass for the upper half, was the kitchen or dish washing area? It was loud and I could hear them arguing. Not great for an early Valentines Day dinner - or any dinner for that matter.
My boyfriend and I had never been here before, but received a gift card and decided to use it the day before Valentine’s Day. Great happy hour deals at the bar, the place was very clean, great service, and we loved the food. Great for a date night.
Uncooked fish; bad food overall Normally I get better food. Bad luck day
We were celebrating an anniversary dinner and the food and service were very good, even though the restaurant was very crowded.
