I love legal seafood their steam weight lobster are amazing.
Our server was great - and the food was good. The Manager at the front desk and the front desk staff need a lot of improvement on how to treat customers. It doesn't seem fair to be paying $150. for a meal when you are not treated well. There has been an issue with the Managers on duty at the front desk for 15 years and it's about time they did something about it.
We sat at the bar and had dinner. The bartenders were great. Food was yummy. Legal sis always a good choice
My meal was good but not as good as usual. Way, way too much cole slaw and french fries to attempt to make the serving seem larger. If fact it was large but only due to the slaw and fries. The Voovray Domaine was exceptional.
Had not been here since they remodeled it is much nicer looking than before food was ok nothing to write home about. Seafood casserole was a little dry served with fingerling potatoes and green beans. Server was very nice and efficient but, With so many other better places on the north shore for seafood I would not likely go back again unless I got a gift card.
Wonderful food and service, Mom is 90 and they treated her like royalty.
I'm always very pleased with Legal Sea Foods in Peabody. We always get great service and food. No complaints!
Great food and wonderful service.
The service was super! The food was delicious!!
We go to Legals with any excuse we can. This time it was Easter Dinner with my Father-in-law, Dad, Grandfather. Impeccable everything - as always. Particular kudos to our waiter - Kyle - who had only been there a month. He was great - and a lot of fun to talk with! You just can’t go wrong with the food quality or preparation here! And the people that we’ve encountered have always been awesome!
We had a great dining experience while visiting the area!
Consistently great food and service
The service level is not what it used to be here. One of our entrees was over cooked, and we returned a drink to the bar that was not prepared properly. It’s still a good restaurant, just not great anymore.
No wait time for a table. Food came out hot and timely. Waiter was good at his job.
This week we celebrated my wife's birthday at Legal Seafood in Peabody, MA. As usual, the food and service were exceptional. They even surprised us (without having to ask) and brought over our dessert with a candle so we could sing "Happy Birthday". Since their remodel about a year ago, the ambiance is fantastic, and the food remains top shelf. I would strongly recommend Legal Seafood for anyone craving a seafood meal.
Always a great experience at Legals
We have been dining at Legal Seafood for several years. Saturday nights is our favorite time. Although like every place else there have been a few mistakes. However, overall the food is very well prepared and the servers are very attentive. We highly recommend.
Legal Seafoods is a favorite because they have such a great gluten free menu, including delicious bread. Our server was wonderful, attentive but not overbearing and very pleasant.
Consistently great food, great service!
I thought the food was good - not great. I got the stuffed Haddock, which was OK. I wouldn't get it again. The greens were nice, but slightly under done. For $28, I was expecting a tastier meal. They do make great clam chowder.
table next to us had there shoes off and where playing with there feet while we were eating disgusting.
Never expressed congratulations for our special
Occasion although I mentioned in our notes.
All else was excellent
Very good. As always
We received good service and the food s great. My husband got the crab cake platter and he loved it. I had the swordfish and it was excellent. We also had a shrimp cocktail and it was great - good size shrimp.
The seafood as usual was superb. My haddock was fresh and flaky, and I had some tasty shandong sauce to liven it up, along with jasmine rice and fresh spinach. Plenty of food, so had enough for a leftover meal. Noticed that the prices keep going up ($25 and up for most fresh cuts of fish, $10 and up for a glass of wine, etc.) - will likely only dine here on special occasions from now on. Service was decent, and atmosphere was quiet enough to enjoy ourselves.
Have not been to this Restaurant in over a year. They did a nice update of the decor. Service was super slow, but tit was a Friday Night. Food was excellent, had the the grilled haddock, delicious! Will be back!
There was no wait which was nice. The food tasted good although the coconut shrimp was over cooked, the clams were fine.
Good but on Valentine’s Day we were seated in a weird back section
Food and service were excellent!! Seafood always fresh
The night would have been perfect but you were all sold out of the dessert special. I was so excited to try it and when it came time to order it you were out of it. I was disappointed because I usually do not get dessert. Everything else was great. Waiter was EXCELLENT.
Outstanding dinner! Always a place you can count on to be consistently excellent!
Third time since improvements. Good portiond, excellent quality, great staff
Had my absolute favorite Legal Sangria. Tried the tofu rice bowl, it was very tasty.
Food was excellent. Had the crab cake combo. Service was terrific and fast. Was seated in the bar area and no complaints
Legals is my go-to for seafood. I absolutely love the popcorn shrimp. I hasve been getting their classic lemon caper sole for years and it is consistently great. Service is always efficient and pleasant.
Food was delicious and good portions. Snowy night so restaurant was quiet. Always a good place to go for good food and fair prices.
Always enjoy going to this Legal's location. Never a bad meal or bad service here. Staff very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Wish the lobster prices weren't so inflated but at least they cook their lobsters perfectly. I've enjoyed filet mignon here many times and have never had to send one back due to it not being cooked as requested. Right now they offer Maple Bread Pudding as a seasonal dessert and it is fantastic. So worth the calories! We look forward to returning again very soon.
Nicely remodeled - Excellent food and drinks - everyone really enjoyed their meal and we had a nice night out with friends - Haven't been there in a while but will be back soon!
I lived in Boston, visiting both the Park Square and Chestnut Hill locations regularly and always found it to be a treat. I'd always put Legal Seafood on a pedestal when it came to exceptional seafood. After my last visit...not so much. When we arrived the dining room was only about 40% full. Not too busy at all. Three of us ordered chowder and the 4th member of our party ordered a salad. The chowder came out and we ate it, then wait another 30 minutes for our food to come out. That wasn't really an issue - we figured it was being cooked fresh. You notice I did not mention the salad? So the food finally comes and there are small issues like no tarter sauce, no butter, the waiter dropping food into one of our drinks and asking if we wanted a new one (no, I like drinking Sprite with fried clams in it), and still no salad. When our waitress came back to our table after being on hiatus for nearly an hour, we told her about the baked potatoes two of us ordered, being lukewarm; receiving no dressing for the salad that came 10 minutes after our entrees and still having not gotten that replacement drink. She stops us by turning without a word and walking away to get a Manager. The Manager comes over and without apologizing, goes on to tell us that baked potatoes were taken off the menu, and recently put back on, but as "stuffed baked potatoes". They keep a dozen or so on the warmer, just in case someone asks for one. Maybe it's me, but regardless of whether we got the potato stuffed or naked, shouldn't we expect it to be hot? I assume that once they're stuffed, they go through some type or broiler or warming process. We tried to make the best of it, but if truth be told I've had better seafood and larger portions from the local hole in the wall seafood restaurant who sells their entrees for 2/3 of what we paid at Legals. We ordered no appetizers or dessert, had cold potatoes, less than satisfactory food and service and all it cost was $180.00.
