   Overall, the food and the service was nothing more than alright. The server took a little while to get to us when everyone in my party had arrived (it was only 2 people), we were the only table that didnt get bread, and my mother asked for something she didnt realize wasn't adjustable and wasn't informed until she was served and had to ask. The food was very plain and unseasoned. For the price point, I would have expected a better tasting meal than what we got like I'd had at a previous dining experience. Would not go back.

   We were seated and no one came over to wait on us for 20mins. Waiter finally came over was nice but short staffed food took forever to come out same with drinks. Food wasn’t great at all. Would not go back to this location.

   Appetizers never showed up, had to go to bar to order drinks as going through server took over 20 minutes. Food didn’t come prepared as ordered. Management sent free oysters as an apology. Food and drinks were excellent. Just need to get the kitchen and serve times figured out.

   Booked a table for one and was seated at the bar (my own choice) ;02May2025 @ 1915. The hostess was pleasant and accommodating. I was greeted at the bar and immediately offered bread rolls and water (warm and delicious). The clam chowder was superb (a Legal’s must). I ordered the Cod Loin with coleslaw and Brussel sprouts. The fish was cooked perfectly and without any fishy flavor… excellent and moist. Dessert was a Boston cream pie … enhanced by the raspberries and chocolate drizzle, also excellent. The food & service were excellent. I do recommend and will return.

   Compared to Legal Seafoods at Copley Place and Harborside, this location pales. The lobster roll had noticeably less lobster and less flavor. The accompanying cole slaw was under seasoned and underwhelming. The lobster bisque was too creamy and again, underwhelming. The “hot” bread rolls served at the start were not hot on the inside and tasted/looked underbaked. While the place was nearly empty, we were given the bill before we finished and without asking for it. When we were ready to pay, it was very hard to get the attention of any staff, who were oblivious to my efforts. After about 10 minutes of trying, I took the bill and walked to the bar to get help. Doubt we’ll be back.

    One person in party arrived prior to others and was seated. Restaraunt was pretty empty for a Wednesday evening! When we were sat few minutes later waiter came over and asked if we were ready to order our meals. We said no and ordered rolls and cocktails. He returned saying the rolls were out and would be few minutes. 2 drinks arrived and the other 2 were going to be few minutes before aisle they had no oranges, for a garnish. Meals were mediocre. Have always thought of Legals as serving superior fish tonight this was not the case! Oysters were ok. Char was overcooked and very thin piece of fish. Sea bass was just ok. Fries Clams were fine. At end asked for a box and server handed it to guest to box our selves. The service was just ok. Good could have had better and restaraunt empty! Sad they’ve stopped making fish chowder. Use to be a favorite!!! Don’t know if I’d return to the “chain”. Have had better elsewhere!
