New England Clam Chowder
Half Pound Maine Lobster Roll**
warm butter-poached or traditional with lemon mayo, french fries & coleslaw
Baked Lobster Mac & Cheese
one whole Gulf of Maine lobster, Vermont cheddar, buttered crumbs
None of the seafood was fresh. The lobster tasted terrible. All of the food was extremely over priced.
Family vacation. Loved this place! Everything was delicious. I loved my lobster roll with butter!
overpriced no views terrible service it’s pretty clear that LSF has lost it’s rep.
Legal is consistently good. Sat outside, quiet, good for conversation.
Lobster mac and cheese, and bang bang cauliflower were both fantastic.
If you are looking for great seafood know that this used to be the best but now it's the "Hard Rock Cafe" of average quality seafood.
Once they opened at malls and the airport they started to compromise on quality. It's sad:but true.
With the full price menu you have tons of other better places for seafood.
It was a nice place, as we were visiting from out of state. A couple minor issues with our food,(server forgot a salad, miss cue on doneness of steak) but overall a nice place to have a nice dinner.
Not great. They were out of a lot of items on the menu.
Prior experience at Legal Seafood 7 years ago was outstanding.
We returned for much anticipated fresh seafood, yet the menu now seems predominantly fried dishes. The evening we arrived 7/2021, they informed us they had no oysters. We switched gears and ordered mussels. Told us they had no mussels either. How does a seafood restaurant have neither oysters or mussels?
We then decided to dine elsewhere.
The restaurant now seems run down and low budget considering the price point. Bad loud music playing at high volume. Staffed by teenagers.
We will not be returning again.
Amazing food with great company! I had 11 people with me and each person loved their dish but portions are big! Lobster, lobster Mac and cheese, grilled salmon, baked haddock amd shrimp scampi were all amazing! Only downside was it’s so popular that some food was finished so couldn’t get swordfish and even the red wine finished!
Great menu choices. You can find something for everyone. Food was great and the service was also great.
Food was excellent and service was even better! Can’t wait to go back!!
Food was great with great service!
I was charged for the New England clam chowder but never received it. I only realized it after leaving the restaurant.
My wife and I went to Legal Sea Foods for our 39th anniversary and it was as great as it always had been! Great service, consistently great food and a wonderful atmosphere in Boston Harbor. We will continue to visit every time we are in the area!
Great place for fresh seafood. We’ve been to Legal Seafood a few times and have enjoyed every meal there.
Lobster roll was great!
The tuna was bland and needed some rice or something else. The plate was not worth $35. The server was nice and the wine was a good value.
Have always eaten at Legal every time we’re in Boston. The food has always been great - but not anymore. The food was over cooked (two of us had steamed lobster and the other couple we were with had the shrimp and the haddock). The vegetables and rice were under seasoned and as a result tasteless as well. The service and staff were very good- but sadly I can’t say the same about the food. You can have much better seafood elsewhere.
Brought a client here because the seaport district location was booked. Filled with tourists, which I kind of expected. Bathroom was gross. Trash was overflowing. Dirty masks and used paper towels all over the floor. Not a great impression to make to an international customer. Frankly I was embarrassed that the bathroom was so unclean. Our server was great. Food was par to above average depending on what you ordered. Parking at the Aquarium was $40...maybe I was there 2 hours.
Great lunch experience! Hopped off the Duck Boat and went right to Legal Seafood!
Menu was great, food was good and service was terrific.
Overall good time!
Great service and excellent chowder and lobster rolls and fires and coleslaw.
Unfortunately our waiter was not familiar with your wines and unable to offer alternatives to your menu. Also, no bread offered with dinner unless asked and no refill on water. Overall, the food was good, however, the experience suffered as a result of the poor service.
We had been many times before it was sold. Now, it’s terrible. We will never go back…too many other great restaurants around here. I have been eating here since 1968 when their first restaurant opened in Inman Sq. It’s a shame.
We were seated right away at 2:00 on a Sunday. Service was great. Food was exceptional
The service was the only thing I’d really question. It took quite a while to get some FaceTime with our waitress on multiple occasions.
We had a great time. The staff was attentive and the service was quick but they didn’t rush us.
We had a great time1 food was very good. our waiter was nice, prompt and funny.
Great food always consistent and waiter was very pleasant.
Lobster roll was excellent and my guests were able to share the entree fish and chips which was a huge portion . Staff very friendly and attentive and the sangrias very refreshing Saturday afternoon drink !
Food and service was excellent
Great atmosphere! Seafood was very good. French fries were Very greasy. Prices are not cheap but your in Boston. We always go there when we are in the area.
Overall the food was amazing and the service was great. But the staff did not discourage another patron to turn down her speakerphone on her cell phone while she was talking. So the person on the phone was very loud and it was disruptive to the other people eating in the area. But normally it is a wonderful experience.
What happened to your vegan menu?
It was great! Our server, Jose, was super sweet. The food was fantastic!!
Server would not accommodate a simple request to not get pasta in a pasta dish and said the kitchen could not do that! Huh!
The service was incredible, swift friendly and knowledgeable. The lobster was not as tasty as expected.
Bread was warm but a little old.
Waited for a table although we had a reservation. One tiny bread plate for 2 people to share.
