My expectations were higher. However, it it still offers good value.
It was fantastic!
Legal seafood has the best clam chowder of any restaurant. Our entire meal was served piping hot and tasted freshly cooked. Can’t wait to go back again
I was going to do restaurant week dinner but opted for the happy hour menu instead. I split the crab sliders with someone who ordered the fish tacos. Both were very delicious and we had great service. Luckily it was empty given the coronavirus, but would’ve been a little too loud had it been
I met a friend for lunch this past week and was told it was restaurant week. We both chose the fish sandwich from that menu. Cup of clam chowder first was the best, but it went down hill from there. The fish was covered in a “fried chicken” type batter and was way too thick and greasy. The coleslaw wasn’t much better. All in all, a very average meal.
Went there for restaurant week and they didn’t have the lobster!!!! How disappointing how can a seafood spot run out if lobster on a Monday!!!! So sad.
Other than waiting for a server for over 10 minutes when there were only a few tables with customers everything was great.
My husband and I and another couple very much enjoyed our dinner out on a Saturday night. Our friends shared the crab dip appetizer, which they said was very good, while my husband and I shared the mussels appetizer, which was delicious. My husband and I then shared the crabcake combo, which was plenty of food for two, however, we both wished it had come with some other side other than the Craisins salad. Some steamed broccoli or roasted potatoes would’ve been much preferred. Our server, whom I believe was named Eric, was very good. I guess my only complaint would be that some of the decor was kind of beat up and showing it’s age.
Had a great birthday dinner at KegL Seafood. I took advantage of 2 lobsters for $29. It was a great deal. They gave me a free dessert for my birthday.
Went to Legal Seafood in the King of Prussia Mall with my wife on 2/29/2020. This visit was prompted by an email from Legal that highlighted their Leap Day special of 2 one pound lobsters and two sides for $29.99.
After waiting a half hour past our reservations and being seated, we were never offered rolls before dinner; we only knew that they were offered after the table next to us received them.
No appetizers were suggested nor even brought up. In fact, I had to grab our waiter to request a wedge salad for my appetizer.
The waiter tried to tell us that the only "sides" offered with the lobster promo were french fries & cole slaw and I had to show him the email that I received that listed a much broader choice of sides.
The wedge salad and lobster were tabled, literally, within one minute of each other.
We were given only one wet nap to wipe down our hands after eating two lobsters.
Not our best visit at a Legal...
I have mixed feelings. Our waiter was very good - pleasant, attentive, and really listened. Our food was good. My issues with our visit : my husband ordered a salad as an appetizer. His meal was brought out while he still had half of the salad to eat (not brought by our waiter but rather a manager...the reason for that next). I have a food allergy but have read repeatedly how well food challenges are handled at Legal Seafoods. I shared my challenge with our waiter who did a great job of explaining the protocols. This included that a manager would bring out my meal. A manager did bring my meal, which was great, but proceeded to give me my husband’s meal which was not at all safe for me (as well as having brought our meals before my husband was finished with his salad). This is a big faux pas - if the protocol is for a manager to bring out the allergy safe meal, he/she should clearly know which guest is to get that meal. My confidence in Legal Seafood’s protocols for allergies is far lower than what others have reported.
The lobsters were of good size and the cole slaw well above average. We were able to replace the fries with cooked vegetables, greatly increasing the nutritional value and the taste. The shrimp wontons were very good but too pricey for the quantity.
can't beat the lobster special.
We arrived and waiting a bit to be seated. Once seated the waiter sat us and showed disapproval when we didn’t order a drink and ordered the entree. The food came out in less than 10 min. Both lobsters were cold for each of us. There was only meat in the tail I spite of the fact they looked like 2 large lobsters . We then noticed all other tables had been given rolls and butter which we were never offered. The meal was very disappointing. We will not be returning to Legal Seafood.
Server was very attentive.
Everything was great. The only disappointment was that we got no points from open table so therefore we won’t go back to Legal Seas. It’s a shame but we signed up and got zero points so we won’t be back. Good restaurant though.
The waiter was great!!!!!
This was our first visit to a Legal Sea Food and will most likely be our last. Their 2 for 1 leap day lobster special piqued my wife's interest, but our server treated us like he was forced to work that night and took it out on us. I don't know if servers resent working days with specials like this for fear of getting slighted on their tips, but as someone who appreciates good service and knows how hard servers work, I can honestly say that this server earned his "poor" gratuity. Getting his attention was always a chore and any requests made were reluctantly handled. Also, portion size - as a non-seafood person, I ordered the half-chicken. I realize that you get what you get when you order non-seafood at a seafood restaurant, but for $22, I received a piece of chicken smaller than I would have gotten had I ordered a chicken sandwich at Popeyes! At the very least, my wife enjoyed her 2 mini-lobsters, so it wasn't a total loss, and she said that the quality of the lobsters, while not quite that of a Morton's lobster, was better than that of a Red Lobster - lobster.
We went in for the B1G1 Lobster deal, they didn't like that we split it. My bill was still over $50 and the lobster was actually pretty meh.
Awesome as usual. Spectacular food and service.
I celebrated my birthday at Legal. Everyone from the manager to my hostess and my server made my day so special. I enjoyed my visit so much that I came a 2nd time during the month of February to celebrate the same birthday a 2nd time. I'm thinking about a third! lolol. This was the best birthday ever!!!
Came for Feb 29 2 lobsters for $29 special. Lobsters were extremely fresh and perfectly steamed. Family of 4 and we all had the special.
Love the fresh seafood and the great service. Alexis, our server, was friendly and attentive to our groups needs and took care of us in a timely manner. We came to the restaurant especially for the 2 lobsters for $29 on 2/29/2020 and enjoyed them very much!
I come here from upstate New York because you have gluten free fried seafood safe for celiac which is a real treat. My gf bread was tough like microwaved- never like that in past. My fried whole belly oysters were pretty sandy. No lemon with seafood platter? Or cocktail sauce. And fries got soggy from sitting under seafood. Server not great. Didn’t know menu. And seemed bothered by my allergy and our request for water refill. Another friend disappointed with cost and quite small size of soup.
Great place for a Lenten dinner on a Friday. The soups were especially good.
I ordered my usual meal crab cake sandwich with French fries and of course they overcooked the fries. They were dark brown and hard like chips. I requested another order of fries and they came out the same way. Disappointed with this visit.
My husband and I dined with our 4 children with a reservation here on a Saturday early evening. We had Eric as our server. He started off seeming to be a little impatient, but his demeanor improved as the evening continued. He did check in several times and was friendly, and he reassured us that we shouldn’t feel rushed at all, and to take our time, which was nice. The food was pretty good, but compared with some other local restaurants, this one will not be one of our favorites. It would be nice to have some additional options on the menu. Many of the dishes seemed similar to one another. The cocktails were good, but also, there weren’t a ton of options. Overall, a nice experience, though. Good location in the mall also.
Good service. The everything tuna was just ok. Not sure it was all that fresh.
Great birthday lunch, but we could have used some drink refills. Other than that, it was great and we will be back.
Lunch was exceptional with excellent service.
I have eaten in Legal Seafood in Boston many times. This was by far the worst meal. The seafood was overcooked under-seasoned & we waited for about an hour for our food. Extremely disappointed.
Food was served lukewarm
Service was inconsistent
Good selection of appetizers from the raw bar! Our waiter, Eric, recommended the Cotuit and Wellfleet oysters from MA, and they were deliciously sweet and briny. I had the classic crab cakes combo with shrimps and scallops, but I regret not doubling up on the cakes. A glass of St. Kilda chardonnay went well with the meal.
Legal seafood never fails to disappoint with awesome seafood and a great time. We went on a Saturday mid day for lunch , food was great but the service was a little off . We still had a great meal
Crowded and overbooked, bad seating
It was very good service
Calamari and fish n chips are not as good compared to the legal seafoods in Boston. Too much starch and less flavor. Greek salad is so salty 🤮
Went here to get a lobster dinner. The food was excellent and tasty. Service was ok at best and noise level was high. Overall we enjoyed the dinner and would return.
Service was slow and perhaps it was related to Valentine's Day but I would think all Friday nights are busy.
