Legal Sea Foods - King of Prussia Ratings and Reviews
For some reason, the kitchen was totally backed up. Our waiter was very good, and a good sport, and grateful to us for not making a fuss, but there was more than an hour between our order and our food, and there were mistakes in the order. And nothing was comped.
My food was frozen and neither server nor manager seemed to care very much....we will NEVER go back. It is a total rip off for the price. Has deteriorated terribly over the many years we have been going. I would never recommend. They should close their doors for good!
First of all let me say that our server, Robert, was attentive and accommodating and made our lunch experience all the more pleasant.
Secondly the food was freshly prepare and delicious. My husband had the pan seared trout and I had the wild caught salmon. Both fish dishes were carefully attended to by the chef. My tuna was perfectly rare and my broccoli came out just as I ordered with sautéed garlic!
We took our brother out to dinner as an early birthday celebration. This was his first visit. He absolutely loved the experience and food. This was my third visit to Legal Sea Foods.
Our server Leslie was amazing! She was friendly, professional and very attentive to our needs. Thank you Leslie for providing a good experience as well as welcoming my brother as a first time guest.
The entire staff there from the hostess to the servers everyone was pleasant and kind.
We will definitely return to Legal Sea Foods.
Leslie was our server and she made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Her service was excellent. I have a gluten sensitivity and she took the time to double check ingredients for me. I do appreciate that Legal Seafood cares enough to alter menu items for people with allergies, and that they have gluten free alternatives, like gluten free rolls and croutons. Those touches mean a lot to someone like me.
We weren't impressed. Started off with calamari and it was good but we must have gotten the end of the batch because we had a good bit of just batter. As a meal, I got the grilled fish and scallops. Scallops we're good but warmish. The fish was over cooked. I couldn't force myself to finish it. My husband got sashimi rice bowl and it was nothing to write home about. Over priced. We ended up leaving before dessert. So much for trying new places.
I was interested in the Grilled Combo that includes shrimp, scallops and a mystery fish. I inquired what type of fish was included and was told that it is up to the chef’s discretion... As I can not tolerate tuna or salmon, I was hoping that the chef could identify another type of fish but it was offered as an option. In the spirit of the “customer is (usually) right”, I would suggest offering the three options in print on the menu and providing the paying customer their preference/choice. I really wanted this combo was not willing to purchase a mystery entre.
I did not want to cause an uncomfortable situation for us and our waitress but was still disappointed. Otherwise, it was a great night with good food. But for $125, I want to be able to order what I wish to eat, not a mystery decided by a unknown chef. Our waitress was great, just following the “rules.” Sometimes the “rules” should be bent to result in a happy customer. I hope Legal considers a little better flexibility in the future.
We had very good experience in one of legal seafood locations in Boston this summer, so we decided to try this one. My wife said restroom was very dirty ... we ordered seafood dip appetizer , signature combo, and seafood casserole dinner , salad which come with combo had no dressing... scallops was very sandy in both dishes, manager gave us another few scallops , little better still sandy, we didn’t want to cause problems, said was good but not ... will be last time
Our waitress was great. But they have a poor system for getting you to your table when crowded. We got to the restaurant 20 min prior to our reservation time. There were a lot of people waiting. They said they'd call us for our reservation time, so we could go to the bar. So we did. Checked back a couple times. Then around 20 min after our reservation time, when we went back that time, they said they had called us, but we didn't show up, so gave away our table. They got us one, but even that was frustrating. They never came around the bar and they couldn't have called very loudly since the bar is only ~15-20 feet from the check in stand. Should have a buzzer or had a better way to get us. Entrees took a very very long time after app's to arrive. Beyond that, food was ok not great, and waitress was very good, took excellent care of us including a nice surprise desert, appreciated in light of the service issues.
I really enjoyed my visit to legal seafood in King of Prussia. I hope to be able to go back again soon. The food was very, very tasty and fresh. I had the crabcake combo and the crab soup. They were not be the best I ever tastes! I recommend anyone to try this restaurant! I guarantee enjoyment!
Our entire experience was one great thing after another! It started off with our fantastic funny and energetic waitress followed by two courses of amazing food. We were celebrating my sister's engagement and the kitchen was sweet enough to send out a gluten-free dessert to celebrate! We definitely will be back. Thank you again legal seafood at King of Prussia!
