Legal Sea Foods - King of Prussia Ratings and Reviews
Waitress couldn’t remember what to bring when, ordered 2 items off menu and they were out of them, sat with coffee no sugar or milk for 10 min ... among other things... god forbid you ask for a lemon for your water, might die of thirst before it arrives ... I could have spent 230 dollars at Arthur Treachers and had a better experience ...
Did not disappoint. Legal Sea Foods lived up to its reputation, and to our expectations.
High quality seafood, lovely attentive service. Pricey, but worth it. Our only complaint is that the restaurant is in the mall and because of the high volume of business, it is beginning to look a little worn.
Service was outstanding from the moment we walked in the door. We were seated promptly and our food came out quickly, there were 9 of us! Everything was delicious. The food was so good, we only left with one doggy bag. The rest everyone finished! The manager even came out, introduced himself, and shook all of our hands. I was so impressed with our experience here and can’t wait to return!
I was happy to learn they would be open on Christmas Day. My friend and I took advantage of the lobster special; 2 twin lobster dinners with French fries and Cole slaw for 39.95. We each got 2 lobsters. And, not being very good at cracking lobster, the waiter opened them for us. Our waiter, Igor was very attentive and helpful.
The clam chowder is the best. Few local restaurants serve Ipswich steamers and they were absolutely delicious. Hubby had twin lobsters and I had Haddock. The service was outstanding! Leslie kept our drinks full and my husband’s melted butter hot. Thanks for making our Christmas dinner special.
We hosted family before their long drive home on the holiday. A great lobster special delighted 2 of us. 1 had a delicious Caesar salad with chicken. I, the vegetarian, asked chef to give me cauliflower prepared as they do the 3 calamari dishes. What a wonderful meal.
We had an early dinner at 4:30. Appetizers were OK. Strange that calamari came with no sauce the Crab cakes and salmon bowl were very good. Chicken was over cooked causing it to be difficult to cut and chew. Mash potatoes were dense and glue like. Scallop special was so sandy that it leeched into the crunch risotto. This is a second subpar meal at this Legal Seafood. We think that this sight is tired like their seating and may need a refresh.
Service was outstanding and pleasant, she removed the scallops from bill and was very attentive. Her attention to our table was the best part of the experience.
Service was extremely slow. One order was supposed to receive salad prior to meal and it didn't arrive until after the entree - and then only when reminded. Drink order arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. Bread didn't arrive until entrees were served. Three guests ordered fried shrimp and they were not up to Legal Seafood standards. Very disappointing.
I am a regular almost weekly customer. The service was not good and the food came out cold. The manager was well aware and did not offer to take anything off the bill. My fiancée ate his cold food and I waited for them to remake mine. Bad customer service and very pricey:(
The food was generally very good. My stuffed lobster was great. My sister’s crab cake combo was mixed - scallops and shrimp good - the crab cake sub par. The cream of crab soup was good as usual. Our calamari appetizer would have been good had it not sat under heat lamps for an extended period of time.
This leads me to a complaint I rarely have. I was a waiter many years ago, but still understand the challenges that the job can bring - especially during a busy night during the holiday season. I am the one who usually is empathetic to the servers when others may complain. But tonight, I could give no praise to what was probably the WORST service I have ever had. The waiter was flat - no personality - had to be asked about whether or not our calamari would be served in plenty of time for us to eat before our main meal (when it was then delivered in 30 seconds mushy and obviously having sat under the heat lamps for a long time) - and had to be asked repeatedly for things a server should know without asking (crackers and seafood fork for the lobster, refills on drinks - though he did refill the water - ketchup for French fries which never came, etc. etc.) Hard to fully explain, but the service was just bad.
For the first time possibly ever, I left a tip under 20/25% - I left a 12.5% tip which is my way of saying “the service sucked”..
Had this been my first time here, I probably wouldn’t return. I’ll probably come back again, but I’ll ask to be sure I get a good server - because now I don’t fully trust that the experience will be OK.
