We had a wonderful dinner. Five is us dined. Everyone loved their dinners. The oysters were very fresh we ordered and tasted just as described. Our waitress was superb. Very attentive. We overall loved our experience. We stay at the Kendall Hotel often and will definitely be back to Legal Seafood.
Suuuuper slow service and food was mega greasy. Orders didn’t come out correctly either.
The waitress made a series of mistakes. She seemed more focused on expediency than customer service. When she poured the beer into my glass, instead of tilting the glass to pour the beer, she filled it as if pouring water and 2/3 of the glass was foam. She hardly refilled our glasses and didn’t check on us after the first five minutes. She fell while serving the table next to us and then never returned. As a matter of fact, after waiting for 30 minutes, we then called a random waiter who took care of our check and cleaned our table. Nobody seemed to know what happened to her. Also the time difference between our appetizer and dinner was literally 3 minutes which I thought was poorly timed. The food was great but too bad the service made dinner seem much longer than it needed to be.
Woody is the best server ever!
The crab cake is one of the best around here. Our server was very good.
Great food, attentive service, will be coming back to try more of the menu.
Legal is a good place for a business luncheon. The lunch menu is reasonable and food is good.
A(nother) great lunch at Legals! I had the blackened salmon tacos. They were really, really good, and very nicely spiced - not heavily salted, as I have found elsewhere. All 3 in our party thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Our server was extremely inattentive. It took us more than 1 hour and 20 minutes to get our dinners and another servers delivered it. Our server never stopped by to check on us. I’m a regular customer and have never experienced such poor service. It was disappointing. Thank you
The Apple sangria was very good.
Good food and atmospheres
Excellent food and wine, oysters were excellent, shrimp week rocks!
Good for business meetings, service fast and unobtrusive..
Solid outing at Legal for sure. My wife’s swordfish was overdone, but that’s my only complaint. Shrimp dishes and child’s half-lobster were delicious
Great food and drinks and great atmosphere. Service was a bit slow (especially at the end of the meal), but that was my only complaint!
They don't do a good job of respecting the "lunch hour" despite working next to a university with thousands of staff. We waited over a half hour for our food. Also, why did my boyfriend find olive pits in his rice pilaf when there were no onions to begin with? Never again.
Attentive and professional wait staff, great cocktails & food all well presented and served accommodating special requests. We enjoyed crab cake combo, grilled shrimp, salmon, cioppino, chowder of course, desserts and coffee. Dark chocolate mousse was perfection.
Great as always.
This time, my son got sick with a fish and chips meal that he ordered. I was surprised because the quality of food in this Resturant is excellent but unfortunatelly this time it was not the case. I used to go to the Restaurant in the Boston Harbor which offers a totally different experience than their unit in Cambridge. I'll go to the harbor Legal Sea Foods next time and do not risk again.
Always good at Legal. Staff was great
My mum and I visited Boston for the weekend of New Years and chose to go to Legal Sea Foods for dinner on the 31st as it was so close to our hotel and we love seafood.
Our food was amazing. Best meal we had in Boston. Service was fantastic! I wish I could remember our servers name as she deserves to be recognized.
Cocktails were delicious, food came quickly and everything was served with a smile.
We only wish there were a Legal Seafoods in Bermuda!
The fish was not fresh clams disappointing hadok bland
Legal seafood is still as good as always. We eat there each time we travel to Boston. Most recently went to the one in Kendall Square. Very attractive restaurant. Went with large group of 10 people and service was superb. Good kids menu. Delicious raw oysters. My 9yo son particularly enjoyed the steamed mussels.
Strongly recommend for delicious seafood!
Fish was very fresh. Would like to see more variety for side dishes. Miss the baked potato and snap peas from the old menu.
The food at Legals is always superb. I had the crab cakes and there were two massive ones with lots of fresh crab meat. There was so much I could only finish one. I had the other for lunch the next day. My companion and I shared a large salad. We shared a slice of pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. This was the first time I tried pumpkin cheesecake and I enjoyed it. The service was adequate and the atmosphere relaxed.
Great lunch, as usual! I got the crab cake lunch, the crab was delicious! I also love the salad the comes with it!
I have enjoyed going to Legal's a hand full of times each year for the past 35 years. The business dinner we had with clients this week was close to not being eatable. We had the Signature Crab Cake Combo, crab cakes, steak and sword fish. The steak and sword fish were okay. We had to ask for a knife for the steak and lemon wedges more than once. The crab cakes were tasteless except for a low tide smell and taste - no sweetness. We did not finish them - disappointing. The scallops and shrimp in the crab cake combo were dry tasteless except for the heavy burnt taste from the grill. Overall a bad meal. Sorry to say that what use to be a treat is now a major disappointment not to be repeated.
Wow! I haven't been to Legal in a while and their menu has changed. Interesting options, fresh seafood, and generous portions. There were three of us and we ordered 1 salad and 2 entrees and that was more than enough. It was my daughter's birthday and they brought her a dessert of her choice. The service was excellent! Our server was attentive and got every detail right - split salad 3 ways, one with no dressing, etc.
LS at Kendall Square somehow did not have my online reservation in their system upon arrival. However, they were very accommodating and allowed us to dine at the table of our choosing.
Great fish, very pleasant service, happy about having been there!
Kendall Square Legal Sea Foods restaurant was awesome. The whole experience was so significantly above average that it was remarkable. The oysters were so fresh and delicious. The
entrees were prepared with care and with the freshest ingredient. Our party had Nantucket scallops, crab cakes, and haddock all deliciously prepared. Dessert excelled. Pumpkin cheesecake, Boston Cream pie and key lime pie were all shared.
What a meal! Cannot wait to go back. Service was excellent and the General Manager was terrific too.
The Waitress from New Bedford is good people!
Food was really good. Our waiter wasn’t the best. He poured water into my beer glass and then pretended like he didn’t do it. The waitress behind us at the next table kept dropping and breaking their dishes, as well. I think they should hire people who know how to work at an upscale restaurant. Or if you’re looking to have a funny time at a place, come here!
LSF Kendall, a chain restaurant, is a great place to take guest for a Bostonian seafood dinner. The surrounding area is quiet in the evening. In that case, you won’t queue for ages to get a table for dinner.
Always happy to go back. Food and service with good stand.
We’ve been to many other Legal’s without any issues. Kendall Square over Thanksgiving weekend was horribly understaffed and the existing staff was very inexperienced. Took forever to get our order and to get it straight. No one refilling wine glasses or bus service to be seen. An unusual Legal’s experience
Legal's is a favorite for my mother-in-law and that's why we were there. It didn't disappoint. My mother-in-law was happy so I was happy.
We went for Thanksgiving. We arrived ten minutes early and were immediately seated. Service was a perfect blend of efficient but not intrusive. We ordered a bottle of inexpensive wine ($39). We had one appetizer, mussels with plenty for 3 to share. I had choppino, wife had a mani mani on special and daughter had swordfish. We shared a Boston crepe dessert, one had an espresso martini and I had espresso. Total cost $176, $210 With tip. All the dishes were wonderful. Great dinner!
A bit laud. slow wait staff. This is more a college happy hour place.
Food was almost cold when finally severed.
This restaurant has gone downhill. It feels a bit tired and the attention to detail
Food was good but overpriced. Service was very good. When I (erroneously as it turned out) our server spoke to the chef and unhesitatingly brought me a small plate of freshly broiled shrimp, even though I told her it wasn’t necessary.
