Poor experience. Menu options for a seafood restaurant- most everything is breaded. Living in Florida, I’m used to fresh fish prepared with minimal sauces/never breaded. Prices high. Waitress knew very little about seafood (asking how we wanted the salmon cooked - not grilled/blackened, but well done versus medium? Never heard that). Asked on lobster size and was told they were 1/4lb. ? It was a 1 1/2 pound. No butter, no crackers, no lemon. Had to ask. Just underwhelming. “Naked” shrimp was breaded… 6 shrimp - $31. We went here due to location outside our hotel, but should’ve gone Back Bay and gotten real seafood.

We were seated for 10 mins before Anyone came to get our drink order. The beer tap was out. Our meals were ok. We were trying to be understanding but it was difficult to be understanding when it took so long to receive beverages and not get refills and the food was expensive. For the price of the food, service could have been better.

Usually love Legal, but the other locations. First time at the Cambridge location. Service was ridiculously slow. Took 45 minutes just to get waters. Finally ordered and bread, appetizers and main course all came out together and food was luke warm at best. So in the end overpriced for slow service and average at best food. It’s a shame since experience at the other locations has always been good.

I had the grilled swordfish with citron butter and the Szechuan green beans and roasted potatoes. Swordfish excellent, the beans very good and the potatoes good. Service was spotty--our waiter was clearly well-meaning and largely competent but seemed a bit green. Noise level tolerable. Ambience fine. The decor retains some features from the old Kendall Legal but is missing the giant fish tank, which was disappointing. But I will definitely go back.

Beautiful Restaurant. Lovely ambiance. We went two evenings in a row. Ordered more food than we could eat. The clam chowder was stunning. The Lobster Bisque must have had a lobster swim through previously. I couldn’t find it. The calamari was fresh and cooked to perfection. The clams were sublime. The crab cake also sublime. The following night we ordered the cipoccino. The shrimp and lobster were overdone and rubbery. I’m sure they were busy. I would happily return but hope that they are on point. The wine selection was lovely but they were sold out of our preferred burgundy Chardonnay.
