    Dissapointing experience. One of our 3 orders was good, one was of poor quality. The 3rd person in our party had to send her fish back becuase it was undercooked. It seems the server forgot about it, or maybe they were just busy. By the time she inquired about it and it was brought to her the other 2 of us had finished our entrees.

    Picked this place for its location and close proximity to our Hotel. As this was Father’s Day, I was really looking forward to a great meal. I ordered the filet (medium) and a lobster tail. Others in the family ordered the lobster mac and cheese, crab cakes, several different sushi dishes…and frankly, for the $350 bill we paid, we were very disappointed. My steak was overcooked, the lobster tail was small (and rubbery), crab cake was very fishy, sushi rice was hard and felt old. Only bright spot was the Mac and cheese with large chunks of lobster. Not worth the price and wished we’d booked elsewhere. So many better seafood options in Boston.

    Great for gluten free folks. I have celiac and they only use corn, rice and chickpeas in their batter so I could have fried fish. Tom’s of gf options.

    My husband and I enjoyed our meal last night Legal Sea Foods - Downtown Crossing. I had made a reservation for 6pm and we were seated immediately in the front of the restaurant. Our server was the only employee for the entire area and he did an excellent job overall. We both ordered cod: mine was the loin seared with 2 sides. My husband's was the cod special. I was surprised that we had to ask for rolls and was told that it depends on how busy it is. Both of us would order the dish again. We had tickets for the Paul Simon concert at the Wang theatre so this was a perfect spot to walk to our destination. I have eaten at multiple Legal Sea Foods, and always have a good experience. The Downtown Crossing site is always my first choice for before theatre. I recommend a reservation because I have been turned away during busy times. My server did not tell me his name, but he did a good job given the number of tables he was assigned. Sincerely, Jill Brandwein-Fryar
