The server was rude , we did not enjoy our business dinner.
Legal's continues to deliver. Food was great and prepared well. Our servers were very attentive but not intrusive. Always like eating there!
Our server Emmaline (Emma P.) was friendly, efficient and effective. Our meals were prepared to our specific order and delivered to us timely. Many thanks for our wonderful dining experience! Y.S. Kim
Food was great and our server was both attentive and friendly.
Second visit in as many months; both visits were outstanding in all respects. This last visit we had a party of 8 and the staff easily accommodated us. The food, beverage, and deserts were outstanding on both visits. Highly recommend this recommend this restaurant to seafood lovers.
Legal never disappoints you can count on high quality food and good service!
The menu doesn't change much and that is a good thing for someone older who doesn't like change. Grandfather likes what he likes and would be upset if it weren't available.
Was ok - dependable food service etc, but nothing crazy good
Consistently good food. However, the last two times we have been to Legal Burlington, we felt rushed. We hadn’t eaten halfway through our appetizers when the entree was delivered. Need to pace service better.
Excellent food. Great service. Very attentive staff. Enjoyed every bite!
Fine as usual. Consistently great.
Service was great, meal was overpriced, presentation was horrid. I have been a customer monthly for 10 years. Going to find another place to meet. Sorry to have to leave but price was ridiculous for less than average meal.
So far never been disappointed. Meeting family there for Easter dinner. Seated promptly and food service was very good. Love the cherry stones here, not too many places have them. Overall, a good meal and able to carry on a conversation.
We celebrated a friends birthdate. We had a great time. It was full and a bit crowded..... but what can you expect for , birthday, Easter and April Fool day all in one!!
I've gone to Legal's for about 40 years. It's been a family favorite for a long time. In the past few years, however, it's been resting on its laurels. Menu is serviceable, but uninspired. Side dishes/vegetables come out cold often. We can find better oysters. Service can be spotty.
Services was poor, food was lukewarm. Wouldn't go Easter Sunday again.
We've been dining at Legal Seafood for many years. The fish is and always has been top quality, and perfectly cooked. The sides however, were bland and unimaginative. Nothing wrong with rice and broccoli, but I can do that at home. Considering how many servers we saw running around the restaurant, I would have expected the service to be better. It was polite, but the server always seemed rushed, put things on the table and took off. Took a while before asking if everything was OK. The restaurant is noisy, with no ambiance. For dessert, my sorbet was so soft, it was almost soup. Legal's has been coasting on its deserved reputation for great fish, but everything else was mediocre and needs work. I won't be back for a while.......
Our server was very attentive to our needs. The food was good and served fairly quickly.
Waiter was excellent. Punctual and not intrusive and provided excellent suggestions. Love the winter gin cocktail, baked oysters as an appetizer and both entrees blacked trout and salmon bowl were fresh and light.
Love the Gluten Free rolls, but would be pleased if Legal would offer Gluten Free Buns as well so more GF options would be available. Maybe also some GF pasta? Noise level is definitely too high.... patrons of hard hearing or are soft spoken are at a disadvantage.
Legal Sea Food never disappoints- food is excellent and the service is great! Very friendly staff too-would highly recommend! Grilled shrimp was delicious and the portions were generous. We will be back again!
The food and service was fine at Legals in Burlington Mall. The value is just okay due to small portions and that it was fairly pricey. For fish there aren't that many choices, so we were okay with the restaurant choice.
Our problem was the front of the house service.
We had made a reservation and specifically asked for a quiet corner, a booth, or against a wall as I explained we had hard of hearing guests.
When we arrived, we were shown to a four top in the middle of the floor. When we asked for our request to be honored for a quiet spot, the young woman who brought us to the table was totally UNHELPFUL. She was pretty rude and when we questioned our request not being honored, she just stared at us and said there was nothing else. We said there would certainly have been another choice at some point in a 15 minute range from when we arrived. She just looked at us and said no. Finally, we asked for the manager, whom we never saw and went back to the host desk and talked to the person who appeared to be in charge of the seating. She apologized, found us a booth within a few minutes, and said the manager would be over. He never checked in with us.
We were not happy, and the waitress must have been overwhelmed because she didn't come over for quite a prolonged period of time - maybe 10 minutes or more we sat there waiting to put in a drink and appetizer order.
Another great dinner at Legal Seafoods (as always)! We enjoyed selections from the regular menu and a few of the evening specials, as well. The seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection with tasty salads and side dishes along with excellent wine choices. We'll be back again and again.
I have been to multiple Legal Seafood locations. They must have been having an off night at Burlington because they made a mistake with our order, and after waiting 20 minutes they still hadn't brought the corrected order.
They let us take the food home at no charge, but even then the lobster was so overcooked we couldn't get the meat out of the shell.
Extremely disappointing meal.
Good food. Worst server ever. I would not visit again if it meant being served by people like him.
This get-together was for a going-away party - it was a great success
Hostess didn’t see our reservation till another girl came up and said look it’s right there! Waiter was slow , didn’t know his menu and made a mistake on the bill that took forever to get fixed.
Delicious clam chowder and rolls, both regular and gluten free. A healthy house salad with fresh greens. A large variety of fresh fish. We travel from New Hampshire to eat here often.
Good good, good service, party of 4 adults is crowded in the booth.
Service as really slow for th
Waiter was extremely slow. It took forever for him to take our order. Kept telling us he would be back. He cleared my friends lobster without asking if she was finished with it.
We ordered two fried seafood platters and when the food came the fish was warm and the french fries seemed like they were cooked before hand. No one came over for awhile to see how our meal was, as I was looking for ketchup. When the waiter finally came over, I was half way through my meal, I told him that the food was warm and I was looking for ketchup. Withing in a few minutes the manager came over with the ketchup and I explained to him about my meal. He seemed concerned and made an adjustment for our bill. That was fine, but it did not make our meal what we expected.
The server was very good.
Four of us quietly celebrating a birthday (but we never told the server that—we had no need of candles or fanfare). Server very attentive, as well as the manager who was tracking my wife's gluten-free order. I had one of the specials (pan seared skrei cod with pea tortellini); perfectly cooked, perfect light brown crust, with really imaginative flavors surrounding it. We eat here several times a year and are never disappointed.
Incredible service, awesome food, and an excellent atmosphere! Highly recommend!
My wife and I both had the swordfish which was Market Price. For the $35 price we each got a fairly small price of fish with so many restaurants in Burlington area we wont be going back there anytime soon.
Delicious food and great service~~always enjoy a meal at Legal's
Legal rarely, if ever, disappoints. Food was very good and server was very patent and accommodating. It is a great lunch spot but also fits the bill for a special occasion. Special requests are almost always honored, which makes one feel, well, special.
Good as usual. They do seem to generally be quite consistent in their quality. I started with the fish chowder. Good flavor but WAY too thick! Chowders should be milky, not like porridge. The thick roux added obviously shows less fish. Richard had the Shrimp Tempura roll as his app. Ok, but a bit bland. I had Anna's Boston Cod, which was prepared simple, but very nice. Richard had the Hake special. Taste was good, but fish was a little dry. I think that's more the fish, as Hake is not a "juicy" fish.
Our server Emma H. was courteous, efficient, effective, and professional. Our meals were prepared to our liking and delivered to our table timely. Y.S. Kim
Always love the tuna burger and Annie's scrod. Assistand manager made adjustments on a few mishaps.
