The server was OUTSTANDING he should be giving lessons on how to DO IT THE RIGHT WAY. My wife and I have never been to Burlington Legal before but have been consistent customers since the early 70’s to all other MA . Legal’s and ones in West Palm Beach and Washington, D.C.
Thanks again for an outstanding experience!
Someone took my open table reservation, mistakenly it seemed! They quickly accommodated that mistake!
Then, the waiter mistakenly charged our credit card with Someone else’s bill! They fixed that!
A few mishaps have occurred at this location before!
sometimes they can be slow with our order!
Tried their sushi for my appetizer for the first time, and it was really ok. My wife enjoyed her crab cakes, and I was very please with the rare salmon on my salad (very rare inside and crispy skin on the outside). It's hard to get excited about a chain restaurant, but Legals finds a way to maintain quality and healthy choices on the menu. I'll keep these guys on my "low risk, nice dinner" list.
Good food....excellent people............////////((((()))
We ate early and the restaurant was pretty empty. I had the Anna's baked Cod...last time I had baked fish there were hardly any crumbs on it but this was covered...I like it that way. The fish was good, we shared my favorite dessert...the bananas foster again...yum! My kids had the rice bowls (the salmon and the tuna) and sushi and loved it as well.
The food was very good this weekend. I started with the fish Chowder. Good flavor, but way too thick. Thick chowders are a pet peeve of mine. They should be "brothy", not like porridge! Richard had Arancini, which was very good. My main was the Shrimp Casserole. Richard had the grilled seafood platter, which was excellent. Our server, who was good with service, could use a bit more personality. It just seemed he was really not "into" it that day. A smile can go a long ways, too! Overall the food was better than we've seen in a while.
Legal Seafoods is one of my favorite gluten free restaurants.
The waitress was on top of things.Ordered the filet mignon. Different waitress brought out order. The waitress came back over to make sure everything was ok.The chowder was nice and hot.
Food and service were awful!
I service was slow and very noisy!
Would never recommend or go back!
Took waitress recommendation and had the crusted salmon with spinach and mushroom ravioli. It was excellent.
As always , our reservation was honored. The service was excellent. The meal was super. No complaints, except for the parking which is always challenging.
Our server Emma was friendly, courteous, efficient and professional. Our meals were prepared to our order and delivered timely. Thanks to the restaurant for the complimentary 3 Bon-Bons to celebrate my guest's birthday! Y.S. Kim
Great food and drinks, glad that we decided to go there!
Legal is quite consistent and always good.
Portions were good sized and the food was fresh and tasty.
We wanted to go to a restaurant that we know has bananas Foster on its dessert menu. Having been to other Legal Sea Foods Restaurants in the past, it was a no-brainer as to where we would go for my husband's birthday for his favorite dessert.
Food was excellent, as always, and our waitress, Emma, was sweet and attentive.
Our experience on Sunday was just the perfect way to celebrate.
Clam chowder for app and halibut steak for my meal.
Can't go wrong with that here.
Staff upon entry ignored reservations because they were preoccupied with talking amongst themselves about how slow it was with the snow storm! Was seated the furthest from the entrance passing empty table after empty table? Only to be seated near the restroom, host joked that seating was in case we got sick we would be near the restroom. Waitress kept bringing over bill when were clearly not finished our meal, each time she would apologize for bringing the bill early. Had cioppino that was overcooked. Overall not the Legal I have known in the past, will not return even for free meal!
Great food, even better service. Extremely accommodating to multiple food allergies (TN, PN, Sesame).
Great food, good service (not great). The restaurant is pretty loud which can be challenging.
Everything was great, except for our seating placement. we were seated by the window and the draft made it quite cold. other than that, this was a very pleasant dining experience.
Legal seafoods is dependable. The food will meet a minimum standard that is high enough. The only problem is I've noticed how in the last 4-5 years the prices keep going up and up and up and it becomes and ever more expensive option to go there for a regular dinner. It used to be that 5 years ago my family of 4 would go there every other month for a weekend dinner, but now I'm not sure it makes financial sense.
Halibut steak was delicious. Noise level on this particular visit was so loud, only because a child was wailing for a long, long time.
The lobster roll and fries were good, too.
Our server George was outstanding and all the food arrived hot & delicious. A very nice night!
Perfect as usual! Great food great service! Oysters were probably the best my fiancé and I had in along time!
The food,as always, was exceptional. All 6 guests were very pleased with the quantity, quality, and service. I felt that the total bill was acceptable for the amount of food that we consumed. I can't wait to return
Excellent service. Great wine list. Great food
The waiter was very good.
While the food was great, as usual, Legal’s in Burlington had an off night on New Year’s Day. It took about 15 minutes after our reservation time to be seated and our server changed. Service was slow and we witnessed one of the waitresses (our original server) having a tantrum.
The food at Legal Sea Foods is usually very good. Our food in Burlington was just fair. The Peabody Legal is much better.
Both our meals were absolutely delicious!
The one MAJOR negative was my swordfish dinner. I really thought it was an appetizer when it was put in front of me. Both the swordfish and the mashed potatoes were 1/2 the portion of what I would expect given the price of the meal.
We've been several times over the years when visiting Boston. The seafood is reliably good if not memorable. It's a good environment for catching up with old friends. Not a bargain but the service is friendly and unrushed without being too slow. We left a cell phone and the restaurant was great about making sure we could retrieve it well after closing time.
Never ceases to provide exactly the dining experience expected!
This is our favorite Legal location! Consistently great food and great service! This was our first time making a reservation online & it was easy & worked out well. Our table was ready @ 7:30 on the dot! Would highly recommend this location.
The food was awful this time. The calamari app was soggy and rubbery. The seafood casserole was very dry and over cooked. We’ve dined there several times and the food was good.
Good food, especially the clam chowder and the house salad, and good service. The alternatives to the mashed potatoes are insufficient. I miss the availability of baked potatoes. I appreciate all the gluten-free choices, especially the rolls, for my wife.
Would not be a good value, but for the outstanding service. Fish and chips was $19.95. Though it was a very large portion, it was too large for one and is more a family size. It could be scaled down to a reasonable portion and the price reduced along with it. Halibut was $32.
I’ve been to Legal seafood many times but tonight was not good. The food came out at separate times and the seafood casserole was extremely dry. Very disappointed
Excellent attention to food allergies. Great food and good service.
Restaurant was busy so we were encouraged but food was expensive for the quality. Fish was bland, side dishes were uninspired, shrimp was over cooked. Location is convenient.
