Legal Sea Foods - Burlington Mall Ratings and Reviews
Host by passed empty booths to seat us in very last booth by bathrooms. We had do be asked to be moved, and he still wanted to keep us in the noisiest section. I had to point to one of the empty booths towards the front. Once seated we had a very nice waitress. My food arrived and was luke warm. I wouldn’t go back. This Legal is dated. Host just didn’t seem to care about where he seated customers.
The food was very good. We were seated within five minutes of our reservation time on Valentines day, when the average wait was 1 hour. We made the the reservation for 8 PM at 7:30 PM on open table. We arrived at 7:50 and were seated at 8:05 PM.
The service is always good at Legal and the food is excellent. The dinner for two, with a cup of clam chowder each including tip, no alcohol, came to $100. We both had a seafood casserole that included, shrimp, scallops and white fish baked in bread crumbs. With vegetables on the side. If you want seafood, beyond your typical fried clams and shrimp, then legal is probably a great choice. It isn't cheap, but not ridiculous and the food is well worth what it cost.
The waiter forgot several times to bring us either the desert or check for 20-30 minutes. Upon offering to bring bread he only brought 2 small rolls despite seeing 3 people sitting at our table. Very inattentive to our table and neighboring table who he was also serving (forgetting to bring them plates or utensils for a desert they were sharing)
Our waitress was great, friendly and attentive. Food was excellent - fried clams for hubby, and grilled shrimp, scallops and lump crab cake with salad. We were served promptly, even though it was Valentine’s Day. The staff kept everything moving efficiently.
I was late for my valentine date but the waitress was so nice to my boyfriend and very accommodating for me making sure food arrived quickly because we had a movie right afterwards we had to catch! Great service, food and drinks! Love the seafood casserole and sangria:)
Service at the bar was very good. Food was great. Waitress was attentive. Manager accomodating when an issue occured. The problem was that there were mice. 3. Scurrying back and forth on the far side of the restaurant. It happened toward the end of the evening, as the restaurant was quieting down, when we were finishing up. The manager came right over and comped our app. Put a real damper on the evening.
Legal Seafood is a "chain" seafood restaurant but their seafood is always fresh, their service is always excellent and there are seldom any unpleasant surprises. The only negative thing about this restaurant is that it is in a large, suburban mall--busy parking lot, tons of people and that awful "Mall" feel. Still, it's worth the effort to come here because their food is so good.
The server was OUTSTANDING he should be giving lessons on how to DO IT THE RIGHT WAY. My wife and I have never been to Burlington Legal before but have been consistent customers since the early 70’s to all other MA . Legal’s and ones in West Palm Beach and Washington, D.C.
Thanks again for an outstanding experience!
Someone took my open table reservation, mistakenly it seemed! They quickly accommodated that mistake!
Then, the waiter mistakenly charged our credit card with Someone else’s bill! They fixed that!
A few mishaps have occurred at this location before!
sometimes they can be slow with our order!
Tried their sushi for my appetizer for the first time, and it was really ok. My wife enjoyed her crab cakes, and I was very please with the rare salmon on my salad (very rare inside and crispy skin on the outside). It's hard to get excited about a chain restaurant, but Legals finds a way to maintain quality and healthy choices on the menu. I'll keep these guys on my "low risk, nice dinner" list.
We ate early and the restaurant was pretty empty. I had the Anna's baked Cod...last time I had baked fish there were hardly any crumbs on it but this was covered...I like it that way. The fish was good, we shared my favorite dessert...the bananas foster again...yum! My kids had the rice bowls (the salmon and the tuna) and sushi and loved it as well.
The food was very good this weekend. I started with the fish Chowder. Good flavor, but way too thick. Thick chowders are a pet peeve of mine. They should be "brothy", not like porridge! Richard had Arancini, which was very good. My main was the Shrimp Casserole. Richard had the grilled seafood platter, which was excellent. Our server, who was good with service, could use a bit more personality. It just seemed he was really not "into" it that day. A smile can go a long ways, too! Overall the food was better than we've seen in a while.
We wanted to go to a restaurant that we know has bananas Foster on its dessert menu. Having been to other Legal Sea Foods Restaurants in the past, it was a no-brainer as to where we would go for my husband's birthday for his favorite dessert.
Food was excellent, as always, and our waitress, Emma, was sweet and attentive.
Our experience on Sunday was just the perfect way to celebrate.
Staff upon entry ignored reservations because they were preoccupied with talking amongst themselves about how slow it was with the snow storm! Was seated the furthest from the entrance passing empty table after empty table? Only to be seated near the restroom, host joked that seating was in case we got sick we would be near the restroom. Waitress kept bringing over bill when were clearly not finished our meal, each time she would apologize for bringing the bill early. Had cioppino that was overcooked. Overall not the Legal I have known in the past, will not return even for free meal!
