This was their last night before closing for renovations for 5 months. Due to this they were out of a few things. The food we had was very good and the service was excellent.
Legal Seafoods continues to innovate and keep their classics. The inclusion of sushi is a great addition. Missing the fish chowder though AND they were out of oysters.
The quality wasn’t quite the same as it used to be. I ordered grilled scallops, which were good, but for the price I was surprised to see only a handful on my plate. Not worth the price.
Our table was ready when we arrived. All staff, from the moment we walked to the moment we left, were friendly and attentive. The food was pricey, but delicious.
Solid as always. Server was not aware of special menu offering but inquired and became aware, and did a great job otherwise. Fish and chips was a bit overdone, a little too brown on the bottom perhaps, but not burnt, and still very good. Special offering Sole Florentine was fabulous.
Lovely meal with friends - buttered lobster rolls were bountiful and delicious. Desserts were great
This place has sadly gone downhill: service was amazing but food was not fresh and floors, napkins, silverware and table all dirty - was the case around the entire restaurant. Hope this is just a small issue that gets resolved - this was a great seafood place in the area.
Always great food…… I have never been disappointed at Legal!
The lobster roll is outstanding, bigger than I have ever seen and jam packed with whole and half claws, and knuckles which are my favorite part. Comes with a finely chopped coleslaw that is delicious and a slightly seasoned fries that is not too salty. 2 meals out of it for me
We asked to be moved to a different booth because there was a woman at the next table having a very loud conversation on her phone which was on speaker mode. Our wait person was very accommodating. As a side note, this should not be allowed.
This location is always my go-to restaurant for business meals. Food quality and service is consistent. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
I think Legal has recently been sold. The menu no longer allows for fish options such as grilled, fried, bake. It's a set menu. I had yellow fin tuna steak with Thai salad and it was just plain awful, for $35! I would not recommend eating here.
Food and service excellent interior of restaurant needs updating
Waiter was perfect. Food (shrimp scampi) heavy and dull!
If your going to have a limited menu you should prepare excellent food, especially for the price point Legal Sea Foods charges. It might have been easier to swallow if the server had paid more attention to us and had more positive interaction with us. Although not rude we didn’t see her more than four times during our stay. She was not informative nor vert helpful. The waiter at the next table had a heated relationship with the couple he was waiting on and even offered an address to get the wine they so enjoyed. Our was the exact opposite and was not concerned with our overall experience. This was my second time here and there will not be a third.
The staff were very accomodating and our server was outstanding.
great food and very good service considering the staff shortage. They made every effort to do a fine job.
Our waitress was attentive, the food was great. We were never rushed, enjoyed our time. A little noisy (family at the next table had little ones) but still enjoyable.
This new chain is still trying to fill the Legal Seafood void and needs to focus on the menu selection and food quality more.
Just fair; menu changes were noticeable; timeliness of food delivery was a longer wait than in the past; it was good but not great.
No Canadian Club or Seagrams for a drink?
$44 for a small lobster?
Good service, great food! My fav place to go for Oysters, fried Colossal Shrimp! Their French Fries are outstanding! Never a disappointment
Wonderful lunch! The waiter was awesome and helped make sure we got what we needed. Food was excellent, esp. the clam chowder! Awesome that the fried stuff is all gluten free! We will be back!!!
I understand the restaurant will soon have a full refurbishment. The current decor is a 1960's upscale restaurant. This matches the food - a wonderfully presented seafood meal with all of the expected inclusions in fine dining.
We started with the New England Clam Chowder which was flavorful, creamy and buttery with clams in every spoon. We progressed to the Fish and Chips but substituted the "smashed" potatoes. These are new potatoes boiled then sautéed and smashed with a generous garlic butter sauce. Our fish tasted as though it was very recent from the sea.
The service was wonderful and attentive. The restaurant was far from busy and the service may have been attentive for this reason, though our server was managing four tables by the end of our meal - a good work load in an upscale room. Expect the price point that one would expect from seafood.
Fried haddock thin and coating salty, same with fried clams. Broiled haddock (Anna’s special) delicious as always. Great server. Space is closing for a 6 mo. renovation. Needs it.
It was fine.
Legal Seafood is not what it once was: linen table cloths, soft lighting, delicious fish and a few other selections. The table cloths are gone, the facilities are grubby (I could see bugs behind the light panels). We each had a lobster roll: mediocre and a small portion at market price of 40.00 each.
I met a dear friend there; it was "our"restaurant. No more. We'll have to find another spot.
Pleasant hostess and waiter
Will return soon
everything was as expected from Legal. Food, Service, etc. Everything was great.
Our waitress was not attentive. We had to request setups (forks, knives, spoons, napkins, and water). The menu has been reduced since the sale of the company, and many of our favorite dishes were removed. Their prices have increased.
2 out of 5 people in our group enjoyed their meals. One said it wasn't nearly as good as before the change in ownership. One said his dinner was "ok" and the 5th dinner was inedible. Prices are very high and food is ok. Not a good combination.
Service was great and very accommodating. Oysters and sushi were really good.
It was a nice lunch to catch up with friends, Jeff our server was very accommodating.
Food and drinks we enjoyed.
Place is a little tired, rug and furniture.
Busy restaurant, but personable server and great seafood.
This was our first visit to Legals since they had been under new ownership. The new owners have not changed much, although some things have dissapeared from the menu, such as the Shandong sauce and the jasmine special, but staples such as the crabcake combo and crab cocktail are still there. It was nice to see a fried clam appetizer on the menu.
As requested, we were given a quiet booth which was nice because this request is ignored at many upper scale restaurants here in Burlington.
Our server was attentive and drinks were well made. Sushi was good but seemed to be pretty bland for a spicy tuna roll, and maybe was accidentally missing some ingredients. The Lump crabcake was a bit undercooked but very tasty, and the grilled seafood items were fantastic.
Glad to see there has not been drastic changes made to Legals yet, and hoping that this remains the case.
Good food, slightly pricey for the service quality and the slightly outdated, worn-out ambience, but still good option for quick after work dinner.
The service was absolutely outstanding, and the food was delicious as always.
Menu was limited disappointing; favorites from past dining were eliminated
