Overall the food last night was very good better than average definitely.the claim chowder was the way I've been wanting it made for years it was nice and thin it wasn't like porridge it was milky. Milky and creamy is the way a childish should be child is these days have been like porridge we can just about stand a spoon up in. We also have the Rhode island style calamari. The calamari was done to perfection there was just one thing I didn't like and I have the feeling others don't like it either. They've now started putting it on top of marinara sauce.personally I absolutely hate marinara sauce I never have any kind of a tomato product like that I just don't like and we make it ourselves and I don't even like the stuff we make!I feel you should do it the way it's been done in the past where you have a side of tartar sauce to come with it cuz that to me is the way I feel it should be served. If you can use marinara sauce put it on the side. Other than that the food this time around was just about excellent.
Fish was cooked perfectly. Appetizers and desserts were very good. The cucumber habanero margarita was amazing!
Delicious food, good service & outdoor seating with heat lamps.
It is such a blessing to have this beloved, familiar and consistently excellent restaurant back with us.
I finally had a chance to go up and visit my almost 93 year old dad who lives outside of Boston this weekend. We noticed that the menu was smaller, but it is so much about quality more than quantity!
All the favorites are there - the schrod (?sp), lobster and clams. Perfectly grilled and fried seafood. Nice people you’ve known forever.
Get out there as soon as you can to remind you of when we still had hope and before this cluster-f@$& we are now living through happened!
Went to the legal is the Burlington mall
The menu was very limited wish we known before hand never would of went. Food was ok nothing great people in are party were very disappointed about the menu.
The food was great I would recommend it !
Wanted to eat outdoor due to virus but the heater did not provide ample heating and with the wind was very uncomfortable
Grilled swordfish entree and grilled swordfish special with butternut squash risotto were very good. Appetizer tuna sashimi was superb and worth a return trip.
Our meal was very good but we ordered a dessert to share, Boston Cream Pie, and it was TERRIBLE. i would never expect Hershey’s syrup on top of a Boston specialty esp from a renowned Boston restaurant.
Food was good hot and tasty. Had not been to this location in a while
The price was way too much for the amount of food we had we both ordered fried clams they were $27 and we only got maybe 8 to 10 clams and some french fries they were good but definitely definitely not worth the $27 a plate for me and my wife it cost$97 for two people no alcohol and an appetizer of shrimp which was $19 for six shrimp
Server was excellent
I have a gluten allergy
She kept me safe
Great choices for gluten free dining
My wife and I had a nice dinner
Everything we ordered was delicious! We enjoyed it immensely. No complaints.
The food was excellent. The atmosphere was a little different due to COVID restrictions but the waitress was excellent
Food was exceptional. Our server was top notch. We had a very enjoyable experience!
We were regulars prior to COVID and this was our first time back. Table had card stating it was sanitized; it was not. It had water glass marks and liquid and sticky spots. We pointed this out to waitress who wasn’t sure how it got missed and she cleaned it. We ordered a Japanese roll/ sushi but nobody brought plates and chopsticks for 5 minutes after food arrived. Food was good but menu is reduced from pre-COVID. This is a reasonably high priced place. Absent COVID I’d expect such a place to clean the tables; in light of COVID this was highly unacceptable. We chose to not immediately walk out but later felt we should have. Plenty of good restaurants around so we’ll not be going back for a long time.
We have always had excellent dining experiences at Legal Seafoods. We learned that Legal now has gluten free options. This is excellent because our daughter needs to be gluten free. Thank you, Legal!
The dinner was very good, but the menu was limited due to Covid 19 precautions. My favorite choices were not offered. The service was excellent.
Our waiter Jeff was very pleasant. Restaurant is a nice place to relax, talk with a friend, and enjoy good food.
When we walked in we were reminded of why we never go. Waitress forgot us for about 45 minutes but that wasn’t the worst part.
It was our first date outside of our home in 6 months. George our server was attentive and great with sharing menu information. We were disappointed at first that there were no oysters but he explained that due to the water temps they had a muddy taste so they would not offer them. Glad to know that quality still is important to Legals.
Just went for drinks
Fish was excellent as usual - like old times.
Was very very good holy wow
The food was excellent, and the waitstaff were very nice. We ate outdoors, and the weather was just right. Had a very nice experience.
Had lunch at Legal's two Saturdays in a row; mid-point for two of us to meet. Loved dining outside, it was comfortable, umbrellas first day which added to ambiance, but too windy seconid visit. Loved the garden salad with grilled chicken; that's my new favorite......till the chilly weather comes in! Very gracious wait staff, too!
Outdoor tables would be far more appealing (and cozy) with two additions: umbrella at each table and outdoor heaters to make dining feasible this fall. My wife and I have averaged 50 visits per year to Legal over the past 40 years. We won’t be going indoors to dine anytime soon, so please make outdoor dining a more realistic option for as long as you can.
Always a delicious meal. Always great service. Thanks!
As usual, Legals delivered a fine meal. We ate outside so to keep safe. My wood grilled scallops lacked the Cajun spice o ordered but my waiter took them back and something was added. All good. The salad dressing was not on the side but I managed to consumer 80% before the ultra soaked salad fixings on the bottom appeared. My husband had fried scrimp and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Legal’s is still our go to place for fish.
I really enjoyed eating at a restaurant for the first time in months. They have arranged several table outside and they are well spaced apart. All of the servers were careful and wore masks. The seafood, as usual, was excellent. But because of the cost we usually only go there for a celebration, e.g., our anniversary. I do wish we could afford to go there more often.
They are doing the best they can during these crazy times.
Food was fine. Service was great. No complaints.
Very nice to eat out. It’s been a while.
Great experience at Legal’s in Burlington. It’s always a wonderful experience so this was a no brained for us. Pleasant waitstaff and overall satisfied with how they’re handling social distancing guidelines.
They recently opened up. Our waitress was great and explained the limited menu. One small (very small) mix up on the appetizer where we were supposed to get a regular calamari and a Rhode Island calamari, but we got 2 RI. Not a huge deal as it was very good. Food was very good.
We had the pleasure of being waited on by Jeffery who was very friendly and attentive. Our meal was delicious even with the menu restrictions.
The food is always good. This time the service was unusually slow
My kids and I went for dinner. Not a busy night . They were rushing us . Server asked us for our food in about 3 min. And when we got our dinner and we are still eating she comes and asked us if we are all set .
The whole dinner was about 20-25 min that’s how we were rushed by the server
I went there with my family including 3 kids, and we had a really nice time. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. We ordered a sushi roll, and when they saw how much the kids love the fish roes, they brought out more for them. Such a nice gesture. Would definitely love to go back again.
