Great experience. Excellent food and great service
My friend and I had a wonderful time. The staff was accommodating and we never felt rushed.
Had a fabulous fish & chips- enough for two people!
Both my friend and I had the burata/tomato/pesto salad with shrimp. It was really good. Sat outside which was nice until it got very windy but that’s not Legal’s fault.
We enjoyed our meal, but items that were available gluten free in the past have were not available this time, and we were unable to ascertain whether this was a one time issue, a supply chain issue, or permanent. Since one of the reasons we like Legal is that they had a lot of GF options that are not widely available elsewhere, we were disappointed and are concerned that they may have changed something we really like about them.
Good service and food was nice and fresh!
Went yesterday for lunch. The food was delicious and our server Vanessa was very nice and attentive. The only issue I had was with the hostess. She seemed very annoyed and her tone was curt. It was odd because I’ve always had a nice experience at this location.
Amazing experience on your patio last night!
Emily was our server and we LOVED her!!!
Such a fun and energetic personality that made for a wonderful dining experience!
The patio was a fun place to sit and eat and the food was amazing as always!
We were able to eat on the patio in comfortable seating and safety.
Our appetizer and drinks were delivered very quickly and were fabulous! We love the Bang bang cauliflower! Our drinks were replenished very efficiently and our entrees arrived hot and delicious. The servings were generous and we were not rushed, and our server checked back with us several times.
It was a delightful experience.
I was thinking how best to treat myself after so many challenges in previous weeks and it was clear that I needed a lunch with a great ambience… Legal’a have been tradition now over 20 years and I’ve never been disappointed ☺️
Food always good but what happened to the menu?
Distressing that aocial
Gina our waitress was great. She kept checking on us if we needed anything. She was very sociable and made our luncheon very enjoyable. The lobster rolls are the best of anywhere in the South Shore of Boston. My niece and her 6 yr ok’d daughter enjoy getting together at Legal’s and the patio dining was very nice especially during these troubling times.
Steamers were fabulous as appetizer. Stuffed haddock was wonderful and portion was more than enough.
Server (Brian) was excellent. Caring considerate And perfect at his job. Made for very pleasurable evening .
Haven’t been to a Legals for a while or taken over by Smith and Wollensky and was disappointed. The food, service and quality/quantity of food have been so poor. A fair rating is a stretch. The prices have increased tremendously and the amount of the servings decreased. We will not be returning any time soon.
Legal Seafood sets the bar for delicious seafood. We have been returning over and over for the past thirty five years at one location or another. The quality remains topnotch. Legals is the only restaurant that I will eat raw Cherrystones or Littlenecks. The food is fresh and there is always enough to eat.
Calamari was greasy and overcooked.
Our server was lovely and knowledgeable about the dishes.
My scallops with succotash was great. My husbands fish and chips were a little over done.
Great martinis Mango lemon excellent.
Thank you for another outstanding experience at LSF Braintree! The food was exquisite as was the service. We can't wait to return.
The drink was bad. The worst strawberry daiquiri I’ve ever had. Sour..I asked to sweetened it up. Obviously the bartender poured out at least half the drink and replaced with filler. It was sweet but he poured out the rum. He should have made a proper drink. Clams were over cooked. Too loud…loud. Not a good experience. Wait staff was excellent.
Reservations was a breeze via open table app though a phone call was required to adjust booking for a party of five. We were seated immediately on arrival, and our server soon appeared and began taking our order.
Her recommendations was spot on, the food was excellent, timing was great and the overall experience was perfect.
The price you pay for good food and service is easily digest when the company you share it with enjoys every moment spent together and will forever hold those memories close. Thank you.
Food was all excellent, as always. Brian, our waiter, was great and was able to identify which of 3 varieties of oysters we had already eaten , was the one that we asked to have another 1/2 dozen of. My daughter and I have come to Legal often over time and have never been disappointed, and this visit was no different.
We were able to snag an outside table on a beautiful night. Steven, our waiter, was incredible. And of course Legal’s food is great. Miss the seafood casserole, fish chowder, and jasmine rice that were staples on the menu, but our date was delightful!
Enjoyed a lovely caeser salad with salmon and sangria last night. The social distancing was very comfortable. Had a fabulous server Christina.
Always a pleasure to dine at Legal's Seafood Braintree Location. This would be my second visit in the last 6 days. I love the choices of food, and the waitress was absolutely wonderful. The manager is absolutely wonderful with her team, I do enjoy visiting.
The amount of seafood for the price was not good. Once our food came we never saw our waitress again.
We ate out on the patio which was very very pleasant! Thank goodness the weather cooperated. I also appreciated that all servers and staff wore MASKS! Very reassuring! My colossal stuffed shrimp was expensive and not very colossal....4 medium sized shrimp with an okay stuffing. Small amount of rice and a few asparagus. My husband's baked haddock was overcooked, dry and not his favorite meal. Mussel appetizer was okay but most mussels were very small and may didn't open! Nothing outstanding.
The appetizers were great, the entree not so much. I had the cOOP pink and it was so bland! No flavor at all. Definitely not worth the $39.
Good food , fair price, great servive
We had a great time. The food was great and the service was excellent! Our waiter was very nice and friendly. We highly recommend it for birthdays and special occasions!
Definitely not operating at its traditional level of quality or service
We were seated promptly and our server came over and took our drink order promptly. There was an unusally long time for the kitchen to prepare the meals - restaurant wasn't that busy, so perhaps the kitchen is short staffed. Our meals arrived together and were hot and nicely prepared.
It was awesome, right on time and the food was delicious, the service was beautiful.
We always eat at Legal when in town
Worst service I have ever received at a legal seafoods.
We have been going to legal Sea Food for over 25 years. I regret to say that since they have been sold to new ownership the quality of the food has slipped significantly. They discontinued a lot of legal favorite dishes, but on top of that the crabcake I had was mushy and bland and the Haddack Anna style was over cooked. The salads and drinks were very good and the service was excellent. However I’m not paying $150 for two people to eat poor to fair food at best, unfortunately I will not be returning
Pretty disappointing dinner at Legal Seafood in Braintree. Mostly to do with our server, who I’m sorry to say was pretty bad. My wife ordered fish and chips and specifically asked for no coleslaw and no tarter sauce. So the meal comes out - with both. French fries were drowning in coleslaw sauce. We had to have a whole new plate brought out - which took about 10 minutes. We had to ask for waters, and more lemon, and ketchup. And not that she was asking if we needed anything. For the prices Legal gets, you’d think the service would be much better. And their prices are pretty steep. I asked how much the baked stuff lobster was. The big one? $75! Ridiculous.
The food was good, but it’s overpriced and given how bad our server was, we won’t be returning anytime soon. And you might think as much as she screwed up that she would have taken a round of drinks, or my chowder off the bill - but nope. Nothing.
It was accessible by wheelchair. We were seated promptly.
After ordering drinks - the margarita was served in an awkward martini glass. The awkwardness made the drink spill slightly when my hands (shaky) tried to pick up the glass.
The waitress was good. It took awhile for the staff to replenish our waters. Food was good and portion size was rather large and filling.
Was surprised at the lobster Mac and cheese. Very interesting presentation. Good flavor. But a bit pricey. Loved the clam chowder
Took a family member there, had been many times in the past but not for a while. The service was excellent, ate at the bar, very friendly and attentive. Food was very good. Fresh and open feeling, Better than Legal C in Dedham.
