Legal Sea Foods - Atlanta Ratings and Reviews
We were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant. Every staff member wecame upon welcomed us and thanked us for coming. Our waitress was personable and was able to help us decide on what to order.
The Legal Sangria and the Bloody Mary were excellent. Definitely will be returning soon.
Customer service was excellent. A plate with 5 shrimp, 5 scallops & a filet mignon cut in half was $43.50. The taste was just OK it didn't match the price & portion size. I expected a full steak for the price. I prepare filet mignon for myself frequently so very disappointed.
The atmosphere is so comfortable and upscale. The general manager is like family! So accommodating, genuine, and awesome! There was something just not right about my dish, he asked could he add a special something to it, and just like that, my meal was complete! He knew exactly what to add. My family and I are in town for an NFL game this weekend, so this was my first time here, but definitely will not be my last the next time I'm in the area. Service was great! Food was great! Atmosphere was awesome! Definitely recommended!
The wait staff was exceptional. The host(EDS) crew was horrible. Having been to Legal’s in Boston dozens of times, I️ was underwhelmed by the lack of customer service at the host stand. I️ had a reservation, but was made to feel that I️ was putting them out. Asking about the status of my table. I️ will make another choice in Atlanta.
Came in for a quick lunch and it took 45 minutes to get a crab cake. The staff was standing around when we approached the hostess stand, and the teams constantly were huddled talking with each other instead of serving the customers. Really. disappointment. When the food finally came we have to woof it down in 5 mins to get to our meeting. Not a good experience
Been here several times in the past, and it has really gone downhill since my last visit.
The 2.5 lb lobster was very good, and the swordfish was good...but the steak looked like it came from Shoney’s or Sizzler. Our server was in a state of perpetual slow motion & dinner took nearly 3 hours.
Never again...there are just way too many better seafood & steak options in Atlanta, most for the same or less money.
Another Great Meal @Legal Seafood...the Food is the Best, but their Service NOT So MUCH!!!
Needed to be in & out due to a concert & it was over 1 & 1/2 hours for the meal...we only ordered entrees!!! Had to ask other wait staff for additional bread & water refills...never had such awful service...There was a private party downstairs, so maybe the wait staff was taking care of them & NOT the regular paying customers??? Wish they would get their act together...while their food is always great, their service is hit or miss!
There were extenuating circumstances during our visit. The area experienced a blackout, but we were called and advised of this and were made as comfortable as possible during the wait for the return of power. The food was fine and our server was wonderful. However, my 40 year old daughter almost choked on a piece of plastic that was in her salmon! We advised the server of the situation and the manager spoke to us, also. He said he would "take care of the situation" and also give my two small granddaughters free dessert. We assumed he would comp us for my daughter's meal which she could hardly enjoy after that, but we were charged. Thought it could have been handled much better!
Food was horrible. Cold broccoli and gross white cheese sauce.
My husbands lobsterbwas not thoroughly cleaned.
We had an appointment at 9pm in which we arrived early for and was told we would be seated closer to that time. We were given the option to sit at the bar or wherever we like and we would be located at our appt time...didn’t happen.
My husband realized that it was 10 minuted after our appt time and no one had come to locate us (we were sitting right by the host stand in clear sight).
So, I approached and asked were they ready to seat us and the host started speaking to the other young lady that was standing with her, but not acknowledging me or the question I asked as I stood there for about 2 minutes before she addressed me and said just give her a minute which was an additional 6 minutes before someone came to seat us.
Do not expect for me to return here or refer friends/family.
My husband and I went to Legal Seafood for his birthday on a Friday night, it wasn't crowded and we were seated at a very small table. It took 8 minutes for our waitress to acknowledge us and when she came over she said, "oh I didn't see you sitting here." We ordered appetizers, the clam chowder was really good but the calamari was just okay. The Apple Sangria was delicious.
We both ordered the CC Combo but when our entrees arrived, there was some mixup and only one combo and a fried dish was presented. The waitress returned both plates and after about 15 minutes we received the correct order. My husband really enjoyed his food. My shrimp and scallops were over cooked and it appeared that they just warmed them up and presented the same plate. It was disappointing. BUT when I pointed it out to the waitress she spoke to the manager and my entire food was taken off the bill. I would have rather had a wonderful experience but I appreciated how it was handled. Because of that I will go back to this restaurant and try it again.
My fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch this past Sunday. I was very impressed with our server and the floor manager for being so attentive and accommodating of my gluten and soy sensitivity. I was even offered gluten-free rolls without having to ask for it. My server and the manager checked on me consistently to ensure I was enjoying my meal and made great recommendations. The margaritas were also made very well.
Looking forward to my next visit!
Really enjoyed the meal. Food was great. But unless you're a walking piggy bank or really trying to impress someone stay away. Tables are a little too close for me. I should not easily hear the next tables conversation. However, all the staff were nice and very helpful. Not to mention the parking nearby at the hotel was absolutely a bonus. Will go again, but has to be a special occasion.
Great food! The only thing lacking this visit was in the service. Our server was just okay. Had to ask multiple times for a napkin for a member of our party and we still never received one. I had to get one from another server who walked by. Our bill was also mixed up and we had to have it fixed.
The food was AWESOME.
Good location in downtown Atlanta. Great menu with lots of variety from starters to beverages. Fresh seafood and produce excellently prepared. Even an unexpectedly good complimentary birthday dessert. Good service rounds out an exceptional dining experience. It is pricey, but all things considered, it is worth it. Definitely worth a return visit and probably will become a favorite for special occasions.
Overall our experience was good not great. We had a reservation for 7:00, but were not seated until 7:30. They were very busy and the service was very slow. Our waiter was great and did the best he could. We waited an hour for our food...entirely too long. I had the snapper and my boyfriend had the crab cakes. The fish was good and the crab cakes were delicious! We took desert to go...key lime pie and the pecan tart. Both were just ok. The best part were the rolls they serve before dinner!
I loved the ambiance atmosphere... Loved the view and settings. We went to celebrate my birthday and I couldn't have picked a better restaurant. I had the red snapper grilled with spinach. My husband had bowl of crab soup and calamari. Both of us had beer to drink. Everyone was friendly. Great spot! I would definitely go back.
