The worst! Waited over an hour and a half for a table to be told that none would be available. Staff are rude, don’t honor reservations and the place is filthy.

In recognition of MLK Holiday, Legal offered cup of Clam Chowder for $1. It is the best we’ve ever eaten! Thank you Legal👍🏼

First time experience and it exceeded by expectations. Tay was amazing and everything he suggested from appetizer, to dessert, to adult beverages was on point. I will definitely return and have already shared experience with family and friends.

Excellent service, excellent food. Legal seafood NEVER disappoints. Splurge and try the lobster bake- it is awesome, and big enough for my wife and I to share.

Eat here often. On this evening our waiter was fine. The food was a bit greasy which is usually not the case. I had grease running on my plate. Will try again but this was really a turn off.

We head from the suburbs to Legal every few months for a late lunch of chowder, lobster rolls, and ice cream bon bons. Absolutely perfect. Then we take home more chowder for later.

We were put in a dark corner booth and asked to have a window seat. No luck. It was our 37th wedding anniversary and didn't feel like much of a celebration where we were sitting. I suggested my husband not order fried seafood. He did though and got the platter., not great and did not even get the Coke slaw that was to be served as a side. The crab dip and my crab cakes were as good as what we've had at Kendall Square, Boston location.

Our server Nina was a true delight. She understood perfectly that we wanted a low key meal and no pressure to order right away. Fortunately the restaurant was not that busy so we were not pushed. A Saturday night in downtown ATL and restaurant was not crowded. My husband is watching his salt intake and Nina came back from the kitchen with a list of what to avoid. We both craved shrimp cocktail and what we were served was excellent, perfectly cooked shrimp on a large bed of ice. Cocktail sauce was a bit skimpy but enough to finish the dish. I would not hesitate to order this again. I loved my bacon wrapped scallops but the salad they were served on should have been light dressed. Steamed clams were a bit chewy but flavorful and kitchen accommodated with no salt butter The red wine flight was good, not stellar and could use some improvement. Food was very good and it was a nice meal

Legal Seafood is located in the central area of downtown Atlanta. It’s connected to a nice hotel with covered valet parking. There are many food item choices and plenty of gluten free options too.

We arrived at the restaurant and was seated quickly it was a slow night. The waiter was quick and professional. Our appetizer came quickly, but our entree’s came very slowly. Two other parties that came after us got their food before we did. When we did get our food my wife’s vegetables were cold. She had the salmon, she enjoyed it. I had the Pecan crusted Snapper , it was a bit sweet but it was ok. I put the pecans in my sweet potatoes. The bread is delicious. The worst part of the night unfortunately is the health score...😫 they scored an 82. Normally we would have left, but for some reason we decided to give them a shot. For the prices of the food and the hype in the street, I would say this restaurant needs to step it up. I’m sure they can and will do better. I would revisit this establishment if the score is better.

We have been to this establishment before and every time we go there they can't seem to get it right. We are from the NE so we hope they will get it right and we build up an expectation. However, we walked out after ordering our food, waiting over an hour for the food to come out and it never came out. They did charge us for our drinks and we tipped the waiter, but how rude..? We shouldn't have paid for anything.

Dined at Legal Seafood New Year’s Eve in Atlanta. Ordered soup, salad and steamed clams. Drinks were delivered promptly but it took 45 minutes for the bread to be delivered and one hour and ten minutes for salad ls to be delivered. The salad bowls were fresh from the dishwasher and hot to the touch, immediately warming the salads. The clams arrived approximately fifteen minutes later and to the manager’s credit a double order, were very over cooked, hard and spongy.

The service was outstanding, the manager was apologetic and our bill was reduced; however, our evening was destroyed. This exemplifies why teamwork is critical in the service business. Overall, I’d try it again if there were no other food alternatives.

We ate here 4 times during our stay! Great service from Delta, Jamie and Ivory! Love the crabcakes and choice of wines!
Only complaint is that they were out of some of our choices due to the great business for the Holidays and Bowl games!

Some of the worst service we've ever had. Over 25 minutes to get our drinks. My dinner came out, the side items of hubbys dinner came out. Server kept disappearing. I had to grab the manager to get hubby's dinner to the table (then the manager was grabbed by every other table in our section to fix THEIR issues). We were never offered anything for our troubles, nor did the server EVER step up her game to see if we were ok. We had to grab another server to find her to get our check. We've been here before without these issues, but we won't be back after this.

We have always enjoyed dining at Legal Seafood, but tonight was NOT the case. They were out of many items on the menu, the food was just okay and it took us 2 1/2 hours to dine; very slow. I hope things will improve, or I'm afraid for that location, I would hate for them to close, but I don't think anyone who dined there on New Year's Eve will be returning.

Have posted same review on TripAdvisor:
Booked here on NY Eve for 4:45 (only available time). Restaurant was maybe 2/3 full or less, but service was slow and felt like we were in a cheap hotel restaurant---which I now realize we were! This location is attached to a hotel with access into the hotel. That's usually a bad sign.
Our waiter was friendly enough, but incompetent. His attire was disscheveled (shirt untucked, apron & pants unclean looking, terrible halitosis). Seriously. Everything we asked for required 2 or 3 reminders. My food, a shrimp, scallops & crab cake plate was room temperature. Quality was poor--shrimp & scallops cooked to a shrunken, dry state and then left to sit out & get cold. Crab cake was better, though cold. I didn't even attempt to send back given the difficulty we'd had with the waiter. My husband got the seafood casserole. It was hot and pretty good, though nothing special.
Table and booth seats looked like they had been abused. They cheap paper placemats did nothing to improve the table top. The glass & frame on the large, nautical print on the wall above our table was splattered with all sorts of crap. I don't think it had ever been cleaned. The carpets were littered with food scraps and paper debris, adding to the nastiness of the overall condition of the carpeting.
The whole experience was a huge disappointment. We didn't have dessert because by that time we just wanted to get the heck out of there.
We live in the metro Atlanta area and eat a wide variety of restaurants. When I am paying $25-35 for entrees and $10-12 for a glass of wine, I sort of expect a pleasant atmosphere, a well-trained and appropriately groomed waiter/waitress and food that is memorable in taste and presentation.
Poorly managed.
And seriously, this could not be blamed on the holiday. They weren't that busy at 4:45 and even if they had been, management should have been ready given that it was NYE and reservations had been made.

I was really looking forward to dining at this restaurant but I was highly disappointed. I had reservation and they still kind of left us hanging even after they had put a table together for my party of 8. It took forever for our food to come and when it did come it was ice cold. No one at the table ever got refills on there drinks. One of the guest sent her plate back because it was cold and when it came back there was hair in the tarter sauce. I don't think it was something intentional but it was still quite nasty. This is a pricey restaurant so I expected so much more. I understand that seafood tends to get cold faster than steak and potatoes but when my food came out even the plate was cold. Might I suggest that you bring the food out as it comes up instead of waiting for all of it to get finished. Holman and Finch serves their food like that and I'd much rather have hot fresh food separately than cold food collectively.

Our night out did not disappoint. We began with the Calamri which was cooked perfectly and not the least bit greasy. My date had the Shrinp n grits which were phenomenal. My fish and chips were ok. Nothing very special.
We shared the key lime tart for dessert. It tasted not up to their usual deliciousness. It tasted old.
Overall..we give it a 4 out of 5 stars. No restaurant can be perfect every time.

Normally, we have a great experience here. Because it was a busy weekend downtown with lots of events, we made a reservation to ensure timely service. Upon arrival, we checked in and were acknowledged by the host. However, after seeing several others arrive and promptly being seated, we checked back in where it was obvious that we had been forgotten. Once seated, it took a while to have our server come to the table. After that, however, we had good service and our food was very good.
