Seven of us met for fresh seafood dinners. We wanted a spacious area restaurant with good service. The food was outstanding especially the crab cakes. The service was great.
Still Legal quality. Test menu item of Crusted salmon with farro salad was very good. Crab cake was superior. Scallops were cooked perfectly. Calamari side was very plentiful. Could use a few more menu choices.
We could not get a reservation for 12:00, as requested; so we chose 12:15. When we arrived at 12:15, there were only two tables already taken in the large room where we were seated. So why couldn't we be seated at 12:00?
The crab salad sandwich was huge, but the crab was very stringy and did not have much flavor. (Check out crab in Maryland or Delaware to find great-tasting crab.)
The fries were large but not much flavor. The cole slaw, however, was very good, as were the hot rolls. The "bottom line" is to put more emphasis on flavor and less on size of items on the plate.
Where were fried oysters? Are these ever on the menu?
We experienced yet another wonderful lunch at Legal Seafood yesterday.
They were able to accommodate our request for outdoor seating and we were surrounded by beautiful potted flowers. We were seated promptly then greeted by Rose, a very pleasant, personable server. She was excellent!
Our drinks were great and our food was served promptly and was fresh and delicious. Everyone was happy with our experience. We’ll definitely continue to go back!!
Legal Sea Food in Garden City has become our “go to” place in Cranston for great seafood. Service, food, ambiance and art work make for a great place to entertain friends and family.
We had a wonderful dinner the meal was exceptional and OH those vegetables very good. Highly recommend. Our server was also great.
My grandson and I enjoyed our lunch there immensely! Our waiter was fantastic!
This location is superb! Great food, service and ambiance!
Party of 4, crab cakes, steak tips, grilled swordfish and lots of clam chowder! Everything was excellent!
Amazing food and wonderful service
Nice vacation versus the old one by the airport. Friendly service and great food.
Great food (especially the calamari) and great service! A little pricey I thought, but they delivered.
Our server and food were absolutely exceptional!!
Service was prompt and friendly. We got the Lobster Roll, Crab Roll, Oysters, and Clam Chowder. All were amazing. We've been traveling the East Coast and have had several of the items mentioned above, and none have compared to Legal Sea Foods!
It was okay, waiter was a bit pushy and seemed to want to just move us in and out as quick as possible. A little overpriced also, $200 for a sandwich and two entrees for food that was okay.
Was not impressed for $150. I would only return for the Calamari
Food and waitstaff are excellent…..especially Brian.
Best crab cakes. Good chowder. Nice and open atmosphere.
Always reliable for good seafood at reasonable prices.
Great food and service. The place a bit noisy. Not as cozy as other Legal Sea Foods restaurants.
The waiter was fantastic he helped us out in ordering our food. Service was great and so was the food . It was our first time there and we will be back.
As always, food did not disappoint!
Autumn our server was very accommodating.
We wanted time between courses, she monitored that well.
I still miss the ambience of Post Rd location.
Love open windows but can be a little loud with traffic all in all did love it
There were positive aspects of our meal, including a very friendly and committed server. Our RI-style calamari was very good, and our mussels were fresh. The broth lacked flavor. The bread was great. Our entrees were a mixed bag. The fish and chips were very good, the cioppino contained fresh fish but a boring broth. The lobster roll was dry-basically just lobster in a roll with no effort to make a lobster salad. The key lime pie was good. Everything was more expensive than it should have been.
The stuffies were good. The mussels were cold. The lobster rolls were good, not great but large. The fish taco was okay.
Excellent food preparation, large portions, best stuffies in a long time, wonderful service.
There were five friends dining and we requested outdoor seating. The restaurant staff was very accommodating in setting us up in the tent in the parking lot. Because there was a vigorous wind that day we had to move to another table. Our waiter, Brian, was terrific and very helpful. The food was just OK. One person ordered the lobster roll and was a little taken aback at her bill as there was no warning about the high cost of the lobster roll. Another friend had the salmon and found it lacking taste. I had the fried clams and they were just lukewarm and did not appear to be freshly prepared. Another friend had the mussels and she reported that they were delicious. For this visit the waiter, Brian, was the highlight of the experience, not the food.
Great food and drinks.
Legal is always a very enjoyable dining experience. Consistently excellent is the best description of this restaurant. The staff is great and work together as a team under the direction of the wonderful manager who is very attentive to detail. He goes the extra mile to insure a very positive experience.
The food is superb and is the freshest seafood around. The custom preparation and the various choices of sauces on the simply grilled menu are always a treat.
The entire waitstaff are also the best and always do everything possible to deliver a positive experience.
A great restaurant with a great staff!
Ok. Had sushi. It was pretty good. Bakes stiffed shrimp was just ok. Scallops were pretty good. Lobster roll was loong!
Excellent!! I felt very taken care of with my severe gluten allergy, server was great and so was the food, we will return soon!
Order the steamers. They are not on the menu for some reason but they are the best!
Great as always
Our server was fantastic. Professional yet friendly. We were celebrating a birthday and she surprised us with 3 delicious ice cream balls.
I'M A REGULAR AT LEAGAL SEAFOODS. I HAVE ALAWYS ENJOYED THE GOOD QUALITY FOOD, SPECIFICALLY THE STAPLE ITEMS. I WAS VERY DISPLEASED THEY PULLED THE TROUT OFF THE MENU AS IT WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITES AND ONE REASON I MADE THE TRIP THERE. SINCE THEY OPENED THE LOCATION IN CRANSTON IT HAS BEEN A ROUGH START FROM A SLIMMED DOWN BAR STYLE MENU TO HAVING A LACK OF A REAL LOBSTER ROLL . THEY FIXED THAT THANK GOOD NESS BUT NOW THE MENUE IS CHANGING STILL. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH A CHANGING MENU DUE TO SEASONAL CHANGES BUT IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE THEY HAVE LOST THEIR WAY. THE TRADITIONAL MENU WAS A WINNER AND IS WHAT MADE LEGALS "LEGAL" DON'T MESS WITH A GOOD THING!
OUR SERVER WAS EXCELLENT!
My wife chose a house salad with grilled salmon and I had a house salad with seared tuna. The seared tuna was excellent but the salmon was overcooked and dry. Although the lettuce was good quality the salad chef needs to garnish the plate more appealing.
Food and service was exceptional.
Our party usually frequents the place monthly for the food but this experience was poor. There was a bug attack on our table landing on our drinks & apps (due to a door being open). We changed tables. Had old food on the plates & napkins. Husband had raw shrimp. We got an, "Im sorry" now pay the $250 bill. Lost any more chances Legal...
Have not been to Legal in years, and maybe only once before in Garden City. My swordfish was phenomenal. The citrus sauce accompaniment was awesome. Seriously. And I am a big swordfish lover.
