Overall experience was excellent. Wish the menu had a few more choices, especially side dishes
Expensive for lunch. Food was good but coconut shrimp was overcooked.
Have tried LegalSeafoods in the past and wanted to try the new concept. We had heard mixed reviews, but wanted to check it out ourselves. It was a quiet cold January night so it was quiet and only half full. We enjoyed the new menu with very good sushi and salad options, (wished that the menu indicated that you could add a protein to the salad as it may have changed our decision). There were some old menu selections, but lots of new ones. We enjoyed the new concept menu, the staff was friendly and very organized the price seemed very average for the location. We will certainly look forward to a return visit.
We had a great experience all around and will definitely return.
Was disappointed with food and prices are very high. Will not be returning.
Waitress was wonderful
Went for a birthday. Mentioned it in open table. Had to remind at dessert time.
Was not impressed with much at this new location. Much preferred the fuller dining experience at Legal Seafood. Food was fair.
Shouldn’t have changed a good thing. Not sure I’ll be back, sorry.
I came here on a date. It was a fantastic experience. The service was fabulous and so was the food. We tried a few different appetizers and they were amazing. My date had sushi for dinner and I had the fried shrimp basket. My date loved the sushi and the fried shrimp basket was awesome. They definitely tried to make this location really reflect Rhode Island. This is clear in the fantastic desserts. I’d highly recommend coming here.
Great new place just very cold in restaurant I was freezing
If you like salt
Will be a long time before I go back.
Way way way over the top with salt
Service was great; food - meh. Just wasn't what I was expecting - especially for the $$
New Years Eve dinner. Sat at the bar .. the bar tender was attentive & friendly. I had a chocolate martini , steak tips, potatoes & broccoli & my husband had fried cauliflower & fish. Also the white chowder was good. Loved the atmosphere too.
Not worth the price. Food was just ok. 3 of the 5 liked the sushi rolls.
Dinner was ok 3/4 of the plate was veggie and potatoes.
5 dinners 5 drinks 2 appetizers
Better choices out there.
Service was very good
Surprisingly good! I do not eat seafood so I was not experimenting the non seafood choices to be as good as they were!
New Year's eve luncheon. The service and food was excellent. The new location is airy and clean. Very nice
Awesome from food to staff
Food was outstanding. Service was excellent!
So disappointed that the company closed the other restaurant in Warwick to open this one. The noise level was awful, even with a reservation we still had to wait for a table, and people who walked in after us got seated first.
The chowder is not the same as the original. Just not the same. Don't foresee going back.
Dinner was delicious, but I I ended up with steak tips because they no longer have baked stuffed shrimp on the menu. The reason we went! But still delicious.
We were pleasantly surprised to try the new place at Garden City. We had appetizers and entrees. The food was beautifully prepared and very delicious. We wish the bon bons were offered as they have been in most other sites. The desserts we had were good.
We will return and recommend this place to others.
Good food. What you would expect from Legal. Food came out with a long wait, restaurant was not busy. We were not in a rush, but might want to take into consideration if you are in a hurry.
I ordered a salmon dish and was overwhelmed by the amount of rice on the plate. The fish was not hot and neither was the rice. The broccoli seemed over-cooked. My tablemate did like her food very much. Great setting. Festive and fun.
Great service & food as usual! Gluten-free fish & chips were a real treat! Thank you!
The food was quite good. We had shrimp cocktail, fish & chips, and Hoisin salmon - no complaints. Also had an excellent winter sangria that was delicious. Only one complaint - the restaurant is all very high windows and on the left side of the bar, the sun comes straight in. They do not have any shades on the windows, and it made dining uncomfortable. In fact, about six parties of diners asked to be re-seated while we were there. Obviously they can't do anything about the sun, but some shades would be in order.
Not big portions for the price you pay. Drinks expensive. Beer 6$ a bottle. Seating for 2 is way to small. Can only fit plate and a drink
Chowder was excellent. Salmon was good but a small portion but sides were large.
Ecrleent service. Our server was beyond attentive! Excellent Christmas Eve dinner. Thank you
As always great food and Keith is the best waiter. Have never had a bad meal there.
I have been dining at the traditional Legal Seafoods in Warwick RI since their open date. I loved the menu. There were plenty of grilled fish items, simply prepared. We waited a month to dine in the new location in Garden City and am happy to report the staff is as superior in the new location as it was in Warwick. However, I thought the menu was limiting. I know that Legal Sea Bar is a different concept from the traditional Legal Seafoods, but I believe there is a market for both the traditional Legal Seafood and the Sea Bar in Rhode Island. I am sad to say I can not bring my 87 year old mother to dine in the sea bar. The majority of items are suschi. My mothers favorite entree was broiled haddock loin. I did not see broiled or baked fish, prepared pretty plain. There were some items on the menu that were prepared with a sauce. Nor did I see the clear broth clam chower. We will dine again in the restraurant but am disappointed in how limiting it is. Please consider expanding the menu. I know your kitchen is much smaller with less equipment to prepare seafood but I believe there is room to accomondate an older crowd.
Minimalist industrial look was physically drafty/chilly. Food was not bad but mediocre.
I have been several times since they have opened in the new location and must say they now have it right.
Great drinks, food and service.
Food was outstanding. A bit pricey. Great bar.
Pleasantly surprised. Was thinking a put going elsewhere but, they were booked and decided on this place and, I was pleasantly surprised! Glad the other place was book. Great sized portions, tasty and the ambience was great.
Very good red dragon sushi roll, very good kung pao cauliflower. Good scallops, steak tips and chicken parm. Fish and chips a little off - couldnt tell if it was the fish, batter or the tartar (my son liberally applies). Overall a good addition to Garden City, but a litte bit off of the typical Legal’s high standards.
Sea Bar is lovely inside and the menu is good, a little pricey for some dishes like fish & chips for $21 and some others they are above most other seafood restaurants. I ordered the special blackened red drum which was extremely salty as another person also commented at our table. Overall the restaurant is beautiful but overpriced and over salted.....
Overall a very good experience
Food was great , but the service was outstanding , attentive ,friendly thank you for a great date with my wife.
unfortunately, I was once again disappointed. The waiter started out with a surly condescending attitude. It somewhat improved, but soured the night. Too bad they removed some of the better meals and items from the menu. No lobster? No steamers? WHO goes to Legal Sea for steak tips???
1st time at this location - exceeded our expectations.
