It was ok. Skip the salmon burger. Dry burger, stale bun. Clam chowder great as usual.
We love coming down to the waterfront and especially to have early dinner at Legal. It’s been a favorite restaurant company for us for decades.
Fabulous Legal restaurant. Waiter filleted a fish at our table, and it was quite a treat.
The food was terrific. Our particular server was very unattentive, although it appeared as though most of the other servers were much more active and attentive to their patrons.
Great waiter good food
Legal s is Devine
Love our waitress Lisa
Food so so
Lobster Mac and cheese was missing the cheese
They made us wait 20 min despite having a reservation. It was my birthday dinner. The apps were good but mains were uninspiring. Seats were benches which wasn’t super comfortable.
I love Legal and always look forward to the rolls (I know lol), but lately they’ve not been as good as they were in the past. I don’t know if they’ve changed vendors or they’re not baking them as long as they need, just disappointing. But dinner was yummy.
Great view, great food and very allergy friendly!
Our server was fantastic!
The food was good, the only thing that I really didn’t like was the grit and sand in the steamed clams, the waitress did not inform me that that might happen or I never would have ordered those I’m from Texas and although I loved the flavor I didn’t appreciate not knowing and there was no compensation offered for my dislike of that happening.
We are from Atlanta and this week s a must do whenever we visit our sons famiky in Boston. We ate there twice last week once for lunch and then Saturday night for a birthday celebration!
One of my favorites!
I don’t under why there can’t be some moderation in loudness as it is hard to carry on a conversation around the table. You’re not the only place where we see this issue. However as people get older the background noise really affects conversation.
Everything we had tasted great! Decent portion sizes too! The bacon wrapped scallops were perfect and the free bread they give is fresh and yummy. Beautiful view of the water. I had the lobster Mac and cheese as my main entree and they put a good amount of lobster in it. Our server was also really nice and came around enough but not too much.
Would have been 5 stars but was seated 15 minutes after my reservation time and of all the people waiting my party was seated last. But overall a good experience!
We had family from out of town and was able to make a reservation for a large party at the last minute. Although we had to wait after making the reservation we had a great table, the food was fantastic, and we had very good service. However it was one of the coldest days and the restaurant had the AC on and the large ceiling fans going so it was very cool in the restaurant. We asked for the heat to be turned on or up but that never happened. With that said my family really enjoyed the food.
Great choice for Thanksgiving dinner for out- of- towners like us. Service was great, food was really good! Nothing to complain about. It was worth going out despite the very cold temps.
It was awesome. The oysters were amazing!
This is our lunch tradition every time we visit Boston. We love the atmosphere and the view of the Harbor. Can’t wait to dine here again.
Staff was great and very nice. They must not store their fish correctly because my friend and I both got sick very shortly after eating the lobster.
Our waiter Jake made our Legal Harbor experience unforgettable and amazing! He was patient and went above and beyond our expectations.
You ROCK Jake!
Our server was awesome
Had a wonderful meal— lobster mac, fried shrimp, scallops, clam chowder were crowd favorites. Gorgeous view!!
Although our table was not ready at the time of our reservation, the manager provided us with a basket of calamari to make up for the issue. Otherwise great food and service as we always receive at Legals.
Food and service were good. Freezing cold draft coming through the glass doors facing the water on a cold night made things unpleasant. It helped some when the waiter taped the gap.
Food: oysters were delicious, but some were a bit gritty. Portuguese seafood stew was great. Lobster rolls were left half eaten by both of my guests who ordered them.
This Legal is better than the others I have been to recently. Also the bar upstairs is great, especially when there are seats available, which there were.
Food was great! Crab Cake was delicious!! Service was not great at all, major improvements needed. Waited almost 15 minutes just for someone to greet me and at that time it still wasn't even my server. Food came out fine but was told that goat cheese came on the salad when it was actually bleu cheese. Asked for the dessert menu with intentions to get dessert like I usually do with dinner. After the menu was presented. The server did not return and I has to get another server to get her. Since it had been 15 plus minutes without her even checking to see if I had questions about the menu, I was ready to go. She only came back and asked if I was ready for the bill. I would have loved to enjoy dessert and would have loved to come back but not with service like that. A serious refresh training on service is much needed.
Server spilled entire glass of wine in my friends coat. Thought that they should have at least offered to pay for dry cleaning. After the incident the server was awkward the whole evening. It’s not typical of our experience as we are regulars and love the food but we were a little disappointed since we were hosting out of town guests.
Disappointed - Maine oysters were great - I don't usually use condiments but green spice chile sauce was excellent on them. Kumamotos not so great, not sure why as they usually are. Swordfish was slightly overcooked but tasty. However, polenta had seized by the time I got it, had little flavor (no cheese) and green bean salad was a mess - too much of it, some bean were green and vibrant, others were gray and overcooked. Quality seems to be going downhill. Service was good, but its been better in the past overall. Hope it was just an off night.
Good place for a business meal.
We always love the food and service at Legal Harborside. The quality is consistent and the fish is excellent. The View is beautiful !it’s worth going for brunch, lunch or diner.
Everything is great. All foods I had were very tasty,All drinks are too:) And they are not too pricey,
I visited here with my two years old son and four years old daughter.Of course there are some high chairs.
All staffs are very kids friendly.
I had very good time here.Thank you.
Good food and fantastic service from Sage. The seafood stew, lobster, and steak were out of sight good. Would highly recommend
Everything was excellent. Except its way too noisy on the first floor $300 dinner spent mainly yelling over the table to talk to my family. Can’t hear yourself think. Needs work.
The food was great and the service except!
It was good food, it our waitress never engaged with us. She never asked about desert.
Like most downtown's, parking is premium and costly. Paid $28 to park for 2 hrs.
Good location and good service
