Legal Harborside - Floor 1 Restaurant and Market
Here you'll enjoy an all-day menu of seafood favorites with a twist as well as shareable plates, pastas and pizzas made to order in an open kitchen. Choose to eat at one of the picnic tables for an authentic throwback experience or grab a seat at the oyster bar and watch our shuckers at work (up to 14 varieties of oysters are offered daily). A large elliptical bar offers both wine and local beers on tap. Patio seating, along Boston's HarborWalk, affords a clear view of the Boston Fish Pier, the oldest working fish pier in the country, and the city skyline.
Need to book at 10:15 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
they did not give us the service according to what we paid
Great food and overall great time!
Wonderful evening. Started with drinks on 3rd floor before enjoying a delicious dinner. Fresh fish & veggies. Mmmmm
Service was amazing
Great location. Fabulous menu. Best Lobster Bisque ever. Started with a cocktail on the rooftop deck and had a wonderful dinner.
As always reliable excellent seafood- service was excellent- Eddie- was a delight.
The noise level was higher than past visits- challenging to hear our guests.
Excellent night at Legal Harborside. Portuguese stew was on the money and the apps were great. Tremendous view of the harbor - great spot.
Love it there
Outstanding experience. The staff were friendly, engaging and very attentive. Food was outstanding and quite reasonably priced. That was our second annual visit to the waterfront and Legal Harborside and we're already looking forward to next year.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre repas.
The food was excellent but the service could have been a little better.
Easy to reserve, good service, staff were all welcoming, children friendly (we had a 1 year old). Legals never disappoints.
I asked for a table with view for my staff and they gave us a table with view all around! Great service, great food
Our server was very helpful and the food was hot and delicious.
We got to sit at a table by the window that looked out to the water. The food was exceptional! I highly recommend the stuffed artichokes as an appetizer. My salmon was cooked just how I had asked. The menu was diverse so every seafood experience could be explored. Our waitress was attentive and offered great menu options (she recommended the stuffed artichokes). The restaurant is a little loud but still able to talk without shouting. The atmosphere is casual and fun.
Food was very good. Waiter was excellent harbor view was great
I remember the first legal seafood in inman square and it was fun to go back there for a few hours!
Another fabulous lunch on the water! The food is consistently outstanding and the service was as well. Nice and relaxed, attentive enough without being bothersome. Would recommend and go back!
had friends from France that went to the wrong Legals. Called Harborside to tell us that they would be late
We never received the message. A delay of 45 minutes!!! Not good.
The atmosphere is quite fun, but the quality of food is slipping, as is the friendliness of the service staff.
I had the seafood pie. It was almost inedible. Dry and severely overcooked. I normally would have complained but we were trying to avoid the incoming snowstorm and I did not have time to wait for a different meal. I have been ordering the "seafood casserole" at Legal for years and always enjoyed it. I would never order it again
Good but always get shells in the oysters
Variedad de ostras bien servidas
Legal Harborside is a favorite restaurant of mine! Food is always excellent. Had a 7 pm reservation and were able to be seated earlier. It seemed like the waitress was trying to rush us through the meal this time. We were there for about an hour and 1/2 - a normal amount of time for a nice dinner? We’ll still go back, but it wasn’t as pleasant as in previous trips.
As a summary, Legal's is a good place to take visitors because of the name but in terms of the food it's okay. I've had better seafood in other restaurants for the price. For appetizers, we had the green bean tempura and the shrimp quesadillas. The green bean tempura came out greasier than I would like. The shrimp quesadillas was good comes with a salad, could be a meal for one. We all ordered some type of fish chargrilled with two sides. My guests said their salmon was good. I ordered the Patagonian Toothfish (aka Chilean Sea Bass) which was perfectly cooked. Our sides, roasted veggies were more onions than veggies and whatever veggies there were was undercooked. My polenta was delicious.
We brought relatives from the West Coast who traveled the world and said it was the best seafood they ever had. Devon, our server, was wonderful and we couldn't believe how flexible he was with us ordering our meals just as we want it and not strictly by the menu. We assume it was the manager (in business dress) who brought our meals and was helping out. Clearly a team effort. As a bonus, we had a window table and it was a clear evening with a spectacular view over to the airport.
Good food, nice environment but bathroom is not in greatest condition
We go here as often as we visit Boston. We have tried several of their other locations around the city as well. We are never disappointed. The food is good, fresh and hot. There is a decent selection on the menu and the staff operates as a cohesive unit to make sure the customers have what they need. This place is always busy so I suggest a reservation or patience. We have not ventured upstairs as we prefer the causal setting. The proximity to the water makes the ambience excellent in the warmer months when there is seating outside and they open the sliding doors to let the outside in.
The food at Legal Harborside never disappoints. It is always good! This is a lively restaurant and it is fun to eat right at the water's edge. Highly recommended.
Tried the sushi for the first time, it was outstanding. Lobster Tempura was to die for
Great experience Amanie P makes us feel like we were at home. Awesome experience!! Thank you.
Fun atmosphere, great views. Food very good as well as value. A bit noisy but fit the place
The tables are made of wood and chipping. My husband got a splinter in his hand that left him uncomfortable for the evening until we got home to get it out.. Other than that I enjoyed my dinner date. I mentioned it was a birthday husbands birthday and everyone wished him HBD! The food was good. The wine was great! My husband didn't get to have swordfish as they were out but he managed to pick another option which he loved
Food is delicious and seafood is very fresh. We definitely will recommend to our friends.
Absolutely immaculate. The server was incredible, management was amazing, the food was unlike any other I’ve ever had.
Terrific food, great service, beautiful view, and a noise level that allows for comfortable conversation. We highly recommend.
The best legal seafood. food, view and service.
I was very disappointed that they did not do anything for my guest's Birthday as specified on the reservation. Attention to detail makes the difference between a good and a great experience.
Legal Seafood in general continues to provide customers with top notch Seafood and great service. We were impressed with our last visit at your Seaport location, this past weekend. Floor number 1 is casual, but yet classy at the same time and they really made my family feel at home. We will return in the near future.
