Always a pretty setting, great food, and great service.
Delightful lunch on the harbor:
Always the best fish choices and our wait person was great. A super anniversary lunch bug we will return before long!
Great meal as always, nice view great service.Excellent seafood.
A beautiful afternoon on the harbor with excellent food and good service.
Terrific ambience sitting on deck on a beautiful day. Food, as always, very good. Servers very nice but could use some more polish; not as coordinated as they should be and timing of food delivery was off e.g. was still enjoying appetizer when entree appeared. It felt rushed.
Great service and food. Sited on the harbor for beautiful views

We had a terrific night! The staff was so accommodating to our requests, all food was served very promptly and everyone loved their meals! Would definitely come back again!
It was great.
We threw a tiny baby shower during Covid-it was important we were outside. The staff made it extra special for us.
3rd time visiting and no oysters....
Can’t beat waterfront dining on a beautiful day! Red Sangria was awesome but they haven’t mastered sushi just yet. It was good but not up the standards you expect from Legals.
It was my husbands birthday and 2nd time we’ve been out since having a baby in March! It was nice to sit outside and enjoy some lunch/wine on the water with the baby!
Our waiter was amazing and the first floor had an amazing view. Thank you!
We sat at one of the tables closest to the water. Can't get much better than that view.
Legal’s marketing suggests they are the standard by which all New England seafood restaurant’s are judged; yet ironically they have, hopefully unwittingly, set the low bar. Slow, inconsistent service, preparations and presentations more likely to be found in a cafeteria and a loud dining room made worse by music more appropriate to a gym. Dining out during the pandemic comes with inconvenience and even risk and one is better served supporting restaurants that value the efforts their customers make in coming to them by striving for that high bar.
Service was excellent but restaurant was out of clams Oysters calamari and decaf coffee. Ridiculous to be out of those popular typically sought choices.
Beautiful view of the harbor! Loved my lobster roll. The watermelon crushes were to die for! My husband got a coconut margarita which was also very tasty!! Our waitress was very attentive! Would definitely go back in the future. We were on floor one, but heard the view from the 3rd floor is amazing too!
It was my friend birthday and she was so happy and they loved food and service!!
They we’re really kind and friendly!! We’ll be back again!!
We loved it!
This was our 4th visit this summer. It was a beautiful afternoon. We ate outside on the deck. The vegetables, fish, and shellfish were fresh and delicious. The wait staff and host/hostess were attentive but did not rush us. It felt safe and clean during these COVID times. A perfect afternoon lunch.
Best swordfish ever!
Legals did a great job with safety, tables spaced out appropriately and precautions taken. Beautiful view on the dock of the harbor, excellent food. We had sushi which was a delight and delicious haddock.
We ate inside cause it was raining. ( although they have several outdoor tables that are covered.) Never worried for a second about cleanliness or social distancing. The service and food were, as always, excellent.
There wasn’t any WiFi
We dined with our son outside on a beautiful evening! The weather was perfect, the sunset view was gorgeous! We enjoyed our dinners (very filling seafood casserole, scrod(a little heavy on the pepper), and lobster roll) and we all started with a cup of chowder!
We were nevered asked if we would
like dessert or more drinks - our server very abruptly informed us that the bar and kitchen were closed, with no warning at all.
Our waiter Michael was the very best we have ever had. Personable, efficient, polite, understanding and extremely capable. He was amazing --as was the food and the setting. It was a great night.
The view, service and food was excellent!
The food at Legal Harborside is always fresh and well prepared. My scallops were cooked perfectly and were melt in your mouth delicious. The service was attentive and thoughtful and the view of the harbor is worth the trip.
Legal has the best Crab Cakes appetizer ever. So much crab meat and a delicious salad makes a fantastic combination and is more than enough for a delicious lunch. My friend order the Sangria and it was so tasty and refreshing.
Loved the view and the location!
Nothing like eating a lobster by the water!
Great outdoor lunch with my husband. Excellent service, clean, great social distancing. We loved everything we had: RI style calamari to start, crab cake combo w/ shrimp and scallops, strawberry shortcake to go. We will be back as we felt comfortable in spite of Covid.
Great night in seaport! Beautiful view yummy drinks and a great server.
I made a reservation to be on the patio and we were seated inside next to a cash register. My salmon was rare and not cooked. Our first waitress was not personable at all, but the waitress that took over for her was.
All Covid policies were in place and it was a gorgeous day for lunch on the water. Such a nice treat to be able to get out of the house and experience the ambiance of the first floor restaurant
On Coronavirus time it’s hard to give a review. But I’ve been in many restaurants during this time and, in my opinion, legal seafood in the seaport really needs a person with a better idea of organizing the tables in the dining room. Right now the big room looks like a cafeteria and the table was very sticky. Whoever did that decoration needs to go visit some other restaurants to have an idea and make things better. The food was ok, in the past I had better food there.
